simple... get out of this club...
Loan him for God sakes to some one in Spain, look at Kanoute and Forlan, atleast they get first good season, Gila might just too, and then bring him back.

As what I always say .. Pippo is the man of big games, and we're doing fine with 1 striker formation. Inzaghi all the way.
Gila can only prove a backup for him.

Wasn't it only a few months ago that Gila scored like six goals in like, four games? He was in form for awhile, then poof. Sad, actually.

The one who is on form. However if I had to chose, I'd say Pippo cause he has more "cold blood" when faced to the kepper.

Pippo simply because he has the experience. He's been around long enough because he's "used" to other teams and knows how to sneak one past them. Just ask Lyon and Bayern. :)

Gilardino hasn't stepped up. Inzaghi is the one that we are going to rely on especially in Europe. He is one for the big games.

Inzaghi is intellegent, shifty bloke. People don't realise just how good his off the ball movement is. Its excellent.

It just shows his intent on scoring, he is so eager to beat the trap and obtain the ball.

Being caught offside is a sign of how close the striker is, I'd prefer a striker who gets caught offside more often than not, because at least once in the match he is bound to be onside; then it is just a matter of finishing (ala Bayern)

Surely you cannot expect him to never be caught offside.

No doubt Pippo is a better finisher, but i dont think he plays well as a lone striker, so i vote Gila

well... gettin' caught offside every once awhile is normal... no denyin' that...

but gettin' caught offside a record number of times each match by an experienced footballer means one thing... not learnin' from previous experiences...

how exactly is that showin' he has gained experience? surely by now he should know the basics of the game well enough not to be caught doin' stupid things...
Ahh I think you're missing my point.

I'm saying that pippo is always on the verge of being played through onside - despite being caught offside.

He's 'not playing it safe' by always risking being offside, and for the most part it pays off.

zzzz you obvously don't understand mate. He times his run and leaves the defenders dead on every occassion. Wind back the tape of his goal against Bayern Munich how he timed his run in between Lucio and Van Buyten.

Inzaghi being offside aint his fault on every occassion. He's in line with the last line of defence and sometimes the ball aint played to him when he wants it which allows the defenders to play him off or him to continue his run. The fact of the matter is he is always trying to split the defence and he sure as hell done it againt Bayern.

Say all the stuff you want about him being offside or whatever yet he one of the highest goalscorers in UCL and European history.

LOL thats like saying defenders, midfielders who give away free kicks, penalties, etc and collect a lot of cards are preety talented and good because the defender, midfielder is so eager to win the ball :D

No it's not.

There's a very large difference, and I think the majority here can see it.

well... you missed my point...

which is... had he been smarter (through learnin' from experiences)... he would know that the defence is tryin' to catch him offside... and he should to avoid bein' so by trackin' back abit more...

imagine what it would be like had he been onside more often... he might actually get more goals... instead of wastin' all our goal-scorin' opportunities by stupidly gettin' caught offside...
Well zzzz don't you think that if there actually there was an attacker that smart, that no team would try playing the offside trap against his team?

You don't just stay at the offside limit watching the line of the opposition's defence, you also have to watch the game, where the ball is and also to anticipate when to start running forward. If you're not running just before the moment the ball is passed to you. then you will surely get blocked by some defender. There is a need for intuition, which is a quality that everyone can agree that Inzaghi has in abundance.

Well said ... the fact he can do it at 33 + not when 100% match fit + as a lone striker (he's always played better when partnered with someone) shows how he's a master at playing a defensive line. And what a shot to finish ... Kahn + any other keeper wouldn't have stood a chance ;)
