eve without the goal (and it was a nice one) I don't get why people want Abate out .is he a world class fullback ..no but he has shown that he can get the job done .with him and DES we have two capable fullbacks and sometimes the bad games they play are a result of the instability of the the cb's and even the lack in trust and understanding they all have .

if we want to offload fullbacks then get rid of constant and urby and bring in someone like Santon and if need be an up and coming young fullback for depth .

the bigger issue is that there are not a lot of top end fullbacks in the world right now.

Abate is one of the better FBs currently playing.

basically it makes no sense to me to sell Abate just to buy another fullback that is on a similar level for roughly the same price.

just keep Abate. He is a very good player and is a Milanista. He is vice-captain material for sure

I would like it if he extends his contract. Abate on the right and De Sciglio of the left sounds good to me. However, it is completely in Abate's right to sit out his contract and go to a club where he can earn more. Contracts are contracts and if he signed for an x period, he and the club agreeing with those terms should respect that.

If he chooses to go, I have peace with it. Then, I would like it if Milan took a closer look to Daryl Janmaat (Feyenoord, Dutch international). He has shown to handle himself at international level. He is currently Hollands best option for the RB and therefore it is likely he will be included into Van Gaals WC squad next summer. I expect his marketvalue to increase awfully a lot after that.

Abate should get his contract extended, but only on 2.5m or lower.

There's plenty of games across 3 comps for Abate, DES + new LB.

Hell even Antonini said he never left Milan because he kept getting 20+ games as a reserve.

Abate should definitely stay, too difficult to replace him.

If we do let him go, we are screwed, itll be mattia going right back, which is fine, but, constant or urby starting left back. Same problem, only now we will have no good cover and an awful left back.

Abate right back, mattia left back, this is the only way frward because there is no one to replace Abate, and, abate is actually very good. It would be difficult to say many other full backs who are 100% better than abate.

They referred to Gazzetta about Juve's interest. He doesn't mention his source for the June 2015 claim.


The Carlo Laudisa tweet is better though. I hope he's right.
