Ibra deserves 3 matches based solely on the fact that he slapped another man.

How feminine does one get?

It wasn't even a Charlie Murphy (a la rick james) type slap. It was a Boy George mad at his boyfriend type thing.

He has been misstreated by the refs his whole career, thats the only thing that makes me doubt they will reduce this ban.

Seriously, imagine him doing that elbow+strangle? He´d be banned for life.

Ibra: ‘I messed up’
By Football Italia staff

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has apologised for getting himself sent off at the weekend, but has faith in his teammates to do well in his absence.

“I did a stupid thing. It happens, it happens. I have to learn when I am wrong. I don’t need the television pictures to know what I did. I messed up.

“I have confidence in the team. They will do well without me.”
 very mature

I can recall how we played against liverpool in 2005 and see a completely different result in 2007.

we played far better in 2005, apart from those stupid 6-10 mins and shevchenko's stupid finishing we were playing out of this world football.

Milanello Twitter:

Ibra: "Cassano didn't say anything to me about my red card. He just laughed."

haha cassano :proud:

They are not gonna reduce the ban

They would have had the third match not been against Juve

No way are the pussy FIGC brave enough to handle the fallout if they did decide to reduce the ban. Can you imagine the hissy fit Juve would throw? Especially with their 'victim' mentality these days?

We'll see. Last season they did reduce his first ban from 3 to 2.

Milan are now pushing the fact that Aronica, who did the exact same thing, wasn't punished at all. How could then Ibra be banned for 3 games?
Also, Napoli's coach said on camera after the game that he didn't think what Ibra did was "violent". "Violent conduct" is the term.

I think there's a good chance. But you're right, it would have been better if the third game had been against Lecce or someone, not Jube.

Some things said about Zlatan:

Allegri:

"Ibrahimovic has paid the price for everybody." This is how Massimiliano Allgeri chose to comment the three match ban handed out to the Swede. "Unfortunately Ibra's act wasn't particularly nice, he went to help Nocerino who was looking a little small..." said the coach with a wry smile on his lips during the press conference for the Italian Cup match against Juventus. "These things happen in games and many go unpunished. On Sunday Zlatan was punished for everyone, now we have to wait for our appeal."

Gullit:

"I like Ibra. He does some stupid things every now and then, but he is a great champion and he has a lot of personality."

@Milanello

Antonio Di Natale:

"I'm crazy about Ibrahimovic, one that really makes the difference."

Totti:

Asked who he would give the the best player in Serie A award to:
"To Zlatan Ibrahimovic."

Cavani:

"There is little to say when you talk about Ibra: a phenomenon that every Sunday, every game, shows his enormous class, his extraordinary abilities. He's a player who immediately triggers the admiration, that catches the attention of everyone, supporters and opponents."

After Cassano, Pato and Maldini it was time for Milan to win the fourth Tapiro d'Oro of the season :)
