Tbf Huntelaar didnt really get a fair chance and wasnt sourrounded with the type of players who would help him thrive.

Gourcuff has shown that he is a small club & player mentality.

Dinho was halfway shot before he got here and only decided to play and put in effort because he wanted to make the world cup in the 09/10 season.

Paulinho delighted with interest from AC Milan
The young midfielder is keen to move after winning the 2011 Brasileirao title, and would love to play at San Siro alongside countrymen Pato, Thiago Silva and Robinho

Corinthians' midfield maestro Paulinho has affirmed that a move to Europe is his next goal after lifting the Brasileirao with the Timao last December, and admitted that he was honoured to have been previously linked with Serie A giants AC Milan.

The 23-year-old arrived at Corinthians in 2010, and after a solid first season he shined in the club's championship winning campaign the following year. Paulinho notched eight goals in 35 games to become the side's second-highest scorer, as Corinthians pipped Vasco to the title on the final day of the season.

Paulinho is under contract until 2014 with the Brazilians; but he admitted, as clubs from across Europe are rumoured to be interested, that he was looking abroad.

"I am going to work hard so that I can go to any country in European football. I hope that God can guide me there one day," explained the midfielder, in an exclusive chat with Goal.com.
He went on to state that, despite supposed interest from clubs including Roma, Udinese and Milan, no formal approach materialised.

"[In the past year] I did not have any concrete offers so when the Campeonato Brasileiro finished I said I would stay, because I did not have anything official in my hands."

Of all his admirers, Paulinho confessed that he was most flattered by the interest from San Siro.

"[The interest from Milan] makes me very happy. I have to thank God for the hard work I have been doing, for the opportunity I had in Corinthians and for the confidence everyone has in me from the moment I arrived," he explained.

"From there you see that good things happen, and people come to watch your football. That motivates me to be better every day."

Paulinho already has experience in Europe; as a teenager, he travelled across the Atlantic for an abortive attempt to launch a career at Lithuania's FC Vilnius, as well as Poland's LKS Lodz.

I know Keita may have a release clause on games played. But hasn't he played 30 already in all competitions , and will prob play 10-15 more doesn't seem like the amount of games that would get a free release...
It's pretty clear with Natali Rumours Ederson rumours that it's the free road to hopefull wishful successs. It is only March so I wouldn't get all but hurt about it , but Milan MGT has well must have no budget .I'm sure if Galli said Berlu can I sign Kolorov Tevez/Torres Mascherano and David Luiz , if Berlu said yes get it done he would.

But he clearly has not a lot if any , austerity measures are in effect.whoever is free that's where to look , talk of even players like Sandro is off he'll cost 10 minimum 13 at most it's just too much.

Actually we used to have 11 WC starters

Dida, Cafu, Nesta, Stam, Maldini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka, Sheva and Pipo.

We used to have WC players like Crespo, Rui Costa heck even a class Serginho as bench players.

Now we just pick up every free player regardless of how good they are or not:fp::thumbsdown:

I had the honor to see this 11 live at the San Siro... But, I think Cafu was injured :)

Sergio played LB and Stam RB, Maldini cantral.

This Milan has 5 player that are of highest CL level: Abbiatti, Nesta, Thiago, Boateng, Ibra.

We miss 2,3 world class players: fullback, midfielder and a forward.

Free release won't be possible .. but for very cheap (much cheaper than the 10-15 million we'd have to pay for any anchor except Veloso and Kieta is much much better than Veloso).

Keita is too old. Mudingayi is younger, for free and just as good.

Also another gossip writing just what I already knew:

'ROME, Jose Angel: "Difficult to adapt to the Italian league"
Left-back of Roma, Jose Angel, said in his blog that adapt to the Italian league is really hard: "Undoubtedly it is not easy to adapt to a league like Serie A - Spanish-stated.'

The lesson
sign proven SA players.

Agent confirms Ederson-Milan talks

Ederson’s agent has confirmed that he is in talks with Milan about the possibility of free transfer to San Siro in the summer.

The Brazilian midfielder will be leaving Lyon in June when his contract expires. Already thought to be targeted by Serie A rivals Lazio, reports in the Tuesday Press suggested that Milan director Ariedo Braida would be meeting with Ederson’s agent Antonio Caliendo today.

Caliendo has now confirmed that those talks with Braida with regards to the 26-year-old footballer’s future did take place.

“The dinner went well,” Caliendo told Tuttomercatoweb.com

“We talked about Ederson, who is a player who is very familiar to Braida.

“The choice is up to the player, so at the moment you cannot talk about who has an advantage.

“When all the proposals have arrived, the player will decide his future.”

Reports in France suggest that Lazio have already offered a five-year deal to the Brazilian, whilst current club Lyon, angered by his decision to leave, are reportedly not going to play him again this season.

So it's true...Ederson could be easly a new player in our squad. I can't see anybody choose Lazio ahead of Milan

differences is in the past you could get technically sound players for cheap/nothing , now in todays football you play big money for player that are technically sound and players that are cheap usually have deficency.

I hope he does chose Lazio over Milan though.....then we MIGHT get Hernanes from them or if G pulls his head out of his ass....Honda!Just hoping.

Why the hate for Ederson?

He's free.
He's Brazilian.
He's a trequartista.
He's technically sound.
He's got UCL experience.

Makes sense to me.

"AC Milan's move for Wesley Sneijder is ON.
Processo di Biscardi says Milan have been actively working behind the scenes to convince the Inter Milan ace about the controversial switch. The Rossoneri, having already lost Andrea Pirlo and about to also see Clarence Seedorf leave, have concerns over the creativity of their midfield and have identified Sneijder as the ideal solution.

It's emerged that Sneijder, who has found himself on the outer of Inter coach Claudio Ranieri's plans, is also at odds with the squad's South American contingent."

I have full faith in the fact that he wants out.
I have full faith in the fact he and his teammates are at odds.
I have full faith he wants to come to Milan, with dutch friends and boateng.

I have ZERO faith that we'll ever see us spending even half of what Sneijder will go for, on a midfielder, ever again.

Exactly...and what were inter asking for sneijder in the summer? 40m?

They probably want 30m now. The only teams who will spend that on him are City and PSG. So either go warm the bench behind silva along with nasri or he will probably end up eating escargot.

:fp: What about it? A youtube higlights pack is meant to sway me? :fp:

I NEVER said I wouldn't want Ederson I just think there's better options....I mean he sits on the bench at Lyon. He has only played 14 games for 2 goals (in Ligue 1),now maybe he has injuery I don't know(we don't need another midfielder who has injury issues!) but just b/c he is free and Brazilian does not convince me he's an upgrade at all over our current CAM KBP,Aqua or even Urby b/c he is not.

And like I said earlier if Ederson joined Lazio maybe, just maybe they'd part with Hernanes or it opens us to sign Honda(another target of Lazio who would do well at Milan).

sneijder? I'd love to see him at Milan, but there's no way the dollar store will afford him.
