We need a Pirlo type player.

I disagree

we need a quality anchor like matic and very good 2 way players like every juve cm bar pirlo

only proper 2 way cms we have are muntari and montolivo, muntari is average and montolivo's future seems to be at anchor.

I like poli but he currently has positioning issues which should improve.

RIP Totti
We just need a CM that can keep possession and move it on to the attacking players. That with b2b Player should cover a 433

Cigarini, Baselli or Badelj fill the 1st criteria, all have been linked with us + either of them is realistic.
Especially since Badelj's team has been relegated and he would cost 5m, as for Atalanta - they're interested in Paloschi.

A good b2b will be harder to find. We missed on the perfect one - Nainggolan. Parolo was a realistic target but he went to Lazio. I cant see any good b2b midfielders unless we want to splash out 15m at least, then someone like Paulinho would be attainable.

I agree we need more passing players, I was more saying Fellaini isn't as bad a player as people make out... He'd bring more to this current team than NDJ, and is a better player than Muntari in my eyes. Yes Muntari is with us and doesn't cost us cash, but we might not get the sort of cash we'd want for NDJ to put towards a player. We're not exactly the best at selling our players for profit, well not since Kaka lol... We're most likely releasing Kaka, Mexes and Binho, while we'd accept almost anything for Birsa, Constant and Essien... I'm not filled with confidence that B will get good money for NDJ if he leaves.

My main point is that a few folk have mentioned Van Gaal like NDJ, if thats the case as I said I'd be happy with NDJ plus say 2 million for Fellani, and I stand by that. It wouldn't address our issues, but its at least a measured signing, something we don't do that often...

In theory for every 2 players leaving we should bring in 1 better player for that position, as I see it Fellani in for a departing NDJ and Essien... Noc and Urby out for a decent young midfielder... Take your pick of any two AM's or defenders to move on to make space for one incoming player.

Yes we need more creativity, but on papaer NDJ plus a couple of million for Fellani isn't a bad bit of business.

I really always enjoy reading your posts, you just seem to have a brain.

Great Outlook and Can't agree with you more.

Thanks :proud:

I'd say I'm more realistic and pragmatic than brainy ha ha ;)

I see this Summer as an opportunity to make some small steps forward, plus maybe a couple of side ways moves that long term will benefit us... Fellani would be an improvement in one department, that's got to be a good thing a younger arguably better fitting player for an older player who deffo has skills but just doesn't seem to fit our system. If we can use NDJ to as a chip for someone else then I'm all ears, but I'm not sure that's the case.

Its an opinion based in reality rather than dream signing mode... Fellani cost 27 million 12 months ago, available for player plus cash totalling no more than 12-15 a year later :gt::g:

Menez will be in Milano tomorrow (as I reported last week) for the medical check-ups at La Madonnina clinic and at Milanello.

Palermo are also interested in signing Paloschi, apart from Atalanta.

He will probably be sold to the highest bidder..

Haha well being realistic often leads to success without unrealistic demands you can move forward much easier.

Common sense is what many on this forum lack.

I do agree I think Fellani + maybe one other good midfielder would add much needed steel to our midfield.

The way I see it, modern football requires sort of Jack of All trade characters, gone were the days of specialists on the ball.

Song I think could also be an option, out of the picture at Barca, yet a defensive mid who can contribute creatively.

Maybe add a Cigarini, or Baselli... Who knows?

We could offer Serie A football without tiring midweek matches to Daniele De Rossi. Will he accept?

Common sense is lacking the World over, but that's another thing entirely ha ha... It seems there are flavours of the month on a weekly basis on here, rather than thinking of the bigger picture or long term, something that our management have issues with, its as if their inadequacies are rubbing off on some posters...

I'm all for the moves B&G have made so far, Rami and Alex are good signings for the money, but I'm more interested in how we move players on, so far we've signed 2 Agazzi and Alex for free, Menez and Rami seem givens, so that 4 more players on wages... Urby is leaving most likely, Mexes might be released, but that will cost us some money :fp:

Then there's Essien, Noc, Birsa, Vila, Konstant and Binho who have to go, for starters... Will we see any cash for these guys, not much, at best they'll leave for free and save some wages or be used as chips for players, not exactly great business when you consider fee's and wages wasted

As I said earlier we should try bring in one good player for every 2 leaving... Menez in for 2 out of Binho, Kaka, Matri, Pazinni, Honda maybe... Alex in for Mexes and Vila say... Rami in for one from Boner or Zapatta plus a FB... And so on... Instead people are foaming at the mouth at mandzukic and selling Abate because he has a value.

We're not going to challenge for the title next year unless we blow 100+ million on true quality, with some clever signings, astute moving of players, and time we could be there in a couple of seasons... But right now all I see is more cheap/free players coming and no one wanting to take our fodder away. Yes we're bringing in more quality, but we're also just adding to our wage bill currently...

Sky's Baiocchini: "Mandžukić is the first name on the list to replace Balotelli because Inzaghi likes him."

Sky's Baiocchini: "Milan could sell Balotelli should they get more than €20 for him. Kaka could also return to São Paulo."

wish all this talk would stop. makes no fuckin sense at all.

Why to release Mexes, PSG after selling Marqinhos would pay some money for him.

Totally agree, we really aren't in a position with our current finances to challenge for next year, but slowly and surely we can establish a stable project.

Gattuso was at McDonald's in Milano earlier today, where he handed out free Big Macs for two hours (he's doing an ad for them).
