Common sense is lacking the World over, but that's another thing entirely ha ha... It seems there are flavours of the month on a weekly basis on here, rather than thinking of the bigger picture or long term, something that our management have issues with, its as if their inadequacies are rubbing off on some posters...
I'm all for the moves B&G have made so far, Rami and Alex are good signings for the money, but I'm more interested in how we move players on, so far we've signed 2 Agazzi and Alex for free, Menez and Rami seem givens, so that 4 more players on wages... Urby is leaving most likely, Mexes might be released, but that will cost us some money
Then there's Essien, Noc, Birsa, Vila, Konstant and Binho who have to go, for starters... Will we see any cash for these guys, not much, at best they'll leave for free and save some wages or be used as chips for players, not exactly great business when you consider fee's and wages wasted
As I said earlier we should try bring in one good player for every 2 leaving... Menez in for 2 out of Binho, Kaka, Matri, Pazinni, Honda maybe... Alex in for Mexes and Vila say... Rami in for one from Boner or Zapatta plus a FB... And so on... Instead people are foaming at the mouth at mandzukic and selling Abate because he has a value.
We're not going to challenge for the title next year unless we blow 100+ million on true quality, with some clever signings, astute moving of players, and time we could be there in a couple of seasons... But right now all I see is more cheap/free players coming and no one wanting to take our fodder away. Yes we're bringing in more quality, but we're also just adding to our wage bill currently...
