Prime Pippo was very lethal, almost impossible to mark, Nesta himself once mentioned him as one of the toughest strikers he has ever faced as he never gave you a moment's rest.

But his career/stats were limited by injuries, not being the first-choice penalty taker and his poacher style which was often underrated and did not always sync well with certain tactical setups where a more physical/technical CF would provide a guarantee. But he was clutch, elite in the box and one of the best poachers of all time - a dying breed or one that hardly exists these days. His greatest strength was his intelligence and his die-hard mentality. What made him special was exactly that, he performed in big games against any defense. You can say the likes of Nistelrooy/Trezeguet had more complete skillsets, but Pippo had more impact in CL knockout games for a reason.

Lol cmon now. Especially with the new offside rule, prime pippo would kill it.

If girruud at 55 is scoring so many goals, then pippo would score more.

What are you talking about?
Pippo had a much better team than Haaland & still barely made 15 goals.
Pep's tactical approach is usually anti ST & it mainly show during the big games.
He rolled most of the time with a false nine & even with a midfielder playing there.
Haaland is a fucking machine but he is yet to take big games by the balls like Mbappe, Messi, CR7 & Benz used to do & he has time since he is still 23 years old.
Beluga whale is good but don't think he will be a great. Prime aguero was better. So was tevez.

Pippos problem was injury proneness. He would put 25 comfortably now in a team that creates a lot of chances.

Pippo was a shark and he moved so much to make space for himself and kaka. I love pippo but we need a young sheva who was dopped to the gill fucker had multiple hearts.

We get a striker like that and a dm , not some make a wish foundation rejects and let’s go play 4-3-3 keep the coaching spot vacant if that alcoholic cannot function properly.

Give all weak, small, slow, injury prone players to abate or bonera. Also anytime our midfielders miss an empty net they need to be slapped.

Tiki Taka is an abomination only thing going on is opposition commits suicide watching it. That pep weirdo will sign a rabid dog like Halaand and make it vegetarian , same shit happened with ibra.

What do you think which players will leave us? I think it could be Mirante, Caldara, Kjaer, Kalulu?, Florenzi?, Pobega?, Giroud.

For Kjaer and Kalulu a new CB could arrive
For Florenzi we could buy Jimenez
For Pobega we xould buy a new CDM (Fofana?)
For Giroud a new CF will arrive.
No cf. Cdk is our new striker.
Fine as we are.

Pippo was plagued by injuries, but he scored so many clutch goals, and the few times he was healthy for an extended period... he scored a ton of goals.

He scored at an insane rate when Serie A was much farther ahead of every other league, when scoring over 20-a-season was seen as superhuman.

His teammates talked about how they were shocked at how technically poor Pippo was, I think Gattuso said that, and I think it was something like (paraphrasing): "we were surprised he was a professional footballer."

Pippo's movement made him such a great striker, he knew how to get into space, where to drift out of a marker's attention, and made fantastic runs.

I look forward to the discussion though which will talk about how Pippo was overrated and all this other garbage.

Carlo is overrated. Pippo is overrated. Milan from 2002-2007 was overrated. Everything Milan-related is overrated on here. It's amazing.

Think we should be giving room to Simic from here onwards in the league - I'm convinced on him. At this level, character is massive. I see a young Kjaer.
Rumours yesterday that both Fulham and Bournemouth want him. Play him and then loan him out next season to a Serie A club that will guarantee him starting. I wouldn't be opposed to even Championship football though. That's a high level.

Haaland is a monster. He's only 23. He has plenty of time to score clutch goals.

He's not the sort of striker to hold up the ball, lay it off, those are aspects that he needs to improve upon. Pippo actually was very good at those aspects of the game, in terms of fundamentals of playing the position, Pippo was incredible.

Most strikers need service, there are some freaks who can just take things into their own hands, but to put up numbers you need service. I don't think Pep has figured out how to optimize the use of Haaland in big games. I was surprised how little service they offered to Haaland against Real, to be honest.

Pippo was the definition of a big game player. Might be the best big game player in history (in terms of the delta between big game output and regular game output)

Any of you guys aware of this:

I know Inter are financially a mess - but for some reason the press isn't on top of it. Now this spreading - wondering if it will get anyhting going. An official complaint has been filed to several prosecuter offices in Italy.

This is what is likely to happen with the new growth decree

Every footballer who arrived in Italy before 31 December 2023 would retain the right to the 5 years of preferential tax accrued, plus a subsequent 3 years, in the event of a further stay on Italian territory

from next summer then

If before December 2023 the tax exemption was also applicable to all professional sport inpatriates, now a qualification is required: according to tax experts, at least a three-year degree. For the threshold of 600 thousand euros of income, which is difficult for footballers not to exceed, there would be a reduction in the taxable amount of up to 60% if the worker moves to Italy with a child minor or in the event of the birth of a child, or the adoption of a minor", in short, a way to "overcome the income constraint", according to some interpretations. Benefits are also provided "for a further 3 tax periods" to those who have purchased "a property in Italy, used as a main residence, by 31 December 2023 and in any case in the 12 months preceding the transfer in 2024 also of the residence registry

Californian I saw battleship by Peter berg on Netflix after watching Friday nights season 1. Amazing freedom movie so many destroyers and battleship, tall blonde in jorts like Florida, Hawaii sun, ac/dc, a thin Rihanna and American navy headed by the cte laden full back from Friday nights.

shit was amazing man , this country used to build something.

And also that boy Alexander skarsgard is a unit maybe better looking than the main lady in the movie.

Oh yeah America saved the world again after 2 wws, Cold War, Armageddon, Independence Day etc
Luke Skywalker was American so technically America saved the Galaxy a few times?

Well it is poop. Guy only needs 500 mil investments or several goat tier players to win titles.

Luis Enrique ffs won the treble ffs with farca. Point being he is just unproven without a serious budget.

Funniest thing for me is that they are accused by a club which have " cheating " in their founding rules .
Funnier it would be when Inter win the 23/24 title, put the 2nd start on shirts and then title is revoked, they get relegated, title is awarded to 2nd place team aka Milan and the story continues....
