Calabria probably had a rating over 7.0 too before conceding the pen. His only big mistake yesterday. Other than that I think his performance went a bit under the radar too. He defended well against a not so easy opponent like El Sha, especially knowing Pioli always exposes our defenders to 1vs1s.

I would have given Gabbia a solid 7.5
He looked really good v atalanta aswell as last night. Maybe he is really starting to become a really reliable backup especially for Serie A

IMO, the talent of our current squad is undeniable. We've considerably improved our talent pool compared to last season's squad, and only Pioli's butchery hindered it from unfolding. Either that (we score a lot despite Pioli because our players are actually freaking good) or Pioli's game plans are not as bad as they seem.

RLC should be bencher. In second half when we need fresh legs or for rotation. Hes not starting material. Lazy, bad in defense, not very creative. Goal or assist once in a blue moon s not enough.

Or sell him in the summer if good offer arrives.

All joking aside, I can't see a major investment coming in January, I think Jo David is coming in the summer... Algorithms set to "undervalued" and "French Market".

We'll squeeze every last bit of sap outta tree and hope Jovic can contribute...

I don't have many issues with this decision by management, it is what it is.

This season could go either way and I'm not sure a big outlay is what the owners want to do given the uncertainty of success.

Risk management wise, don't spend much in January and achieve top 4, upper management happy... Get the stadium deal agreed, Coolaid drinking fans happy.

Again, it is what it is... This year is totally another year zero despite the promises in the summer.

Last night was imo the first all-round convincing game by Adli, without major defensive blunders or standing on Reijnders feet. Defensively he still has to prove himself more though, his history of completely loosing players and errors leading to goal is very overlooked.

I've seen one or two instances too where he completely lost the player he was supposed to be marking, fortunately, nothing serious happening out of this. But that's definitely what he needs to improve. When contrasting a player, he's good, he wins a lot of balls back. But when it's about following his marker (and Pioli loves this 1vs1 marking and defending), he definitely has some things to improve on.

inter has 3 upcoming tough games in the league (2 of them being away) if they can lose some points here while we win our next 3 (udine away terifies me ngl) then the race should be even better and the pressure on them will be bigger

Yeah Ive said we will probably and probably should just endure and crack on with the season as is...

We've been lucky with players coming in to fill holes and help us middle through. Spending 30/40 million in January might make a big difference, but I feel our issues go way beyond signing a player for loads of money.

Getting rid of Krunic feels like a new signing lol.

The season has failed to live up to expectations, and it's been frustrating as fuck... But let's see who comes in to coach and then hopefully we address the glaring holes that new management and old management failed to fill, again and again.

CDK over Adli is what started my dislike of Pioli.
After 10+10 was gone, we could not get Vlasic, so we reserved this guy who was one of Europe’s most creative youngsters. For me, Not just youngsters, but player overall.
The type of player that would make the whole team run smoother.
Tailor made AM for our 4231 at the time (I don’t even know what’s our formation these days…it’s all over the place)


And it wasn’t systematic dislike. But insisting with that shit was baffling (well not anymore, now I know nothing is too stupid for Pioli not to do) … that was the first display of his disgusting stubbornness. Followed by many more headscratching moves.

I used to say “time will impose Adli”, and I meant during last season…thinking after Pioli realizes that CDK is not an AM, and not what the teams needs at this position he’ll give the boy his chance. And maybe for a team that so severely lacks structured creativy…a creative/playmaking AM could, just “could” be a solution.
This dude tried EVERYBODY ant AM but Adli. He even changed formation, just to not give the kid a chance.
And this was after the boy was the revelation of preseason.
I remember a tweet or post on their forum from an inter fan saying at preseason “should we start worrying about this Adli kid now?”



And actually, Pioli STILL hasn’t realized that. This kid and Reijnders if unleashed to use their playmaking abilities to run the show, this team will be scary. The team has everything, power, speed, strength, dribbling…athleticism that if combined with playmaking in a cohesive and coherent tactical scheme will explode.
The fucked up thing is we DO have those playmakers, of great level too… but Pioli

If we had a young Pirlo or Modric, I wouldn't be surprised if they would have been benched by lord Krunic to be honest. Not saying that adli is as good as the mentioned players, but I'm talking about the kind of players Pioli seems to prefer.

Do you guys think our left side is doing things different? Lately we havent seen those choo choos combo from Theo-Leao (excluding Leao`s goal v atalanta in Coppa).
Leao is being very very static lately which is why he is not delivering what he usually does imo

Leao plays a bit like a diva these days...lazy and whenever he has the ball he usually dribbles past the first defender and then tries a bad cross that either goes to a defender or way way too far. If he would be a bit more direct and improved his shooting, he'd be a 200M player.

Who doesn‘t in 2024? This is not Pioli specific. You cannot be a top mid without being a strong athlete anymore.
