The people from Milan:
Italian national team suck and it is going to suck for a long time, don't ask me why and how it happened but the lack of talent is obvious. Euro 2020 everyone know it was a fluke

The CEO of #Newcastle, owned by the world's largest #PIF fund : "If we want to continue our growth progress, we may have to give up some important players"

It doesn't matter how much money you have but how much you can spend with the FPF.
"Will 'X' understand this?

Well, do all the PIF fans here understand that? :D

Let’s be honest, people who scream for Arabs think we will be showered with money and that basically we can have Li windows without any repercussions.

It’s not really a serious observation so just gotta let people dream

There is a shortage of genuine Italian talent undoubtedly.

But I honestly don’t think Euro2020 was a fluke. As a setup Italian football still has the shrewdness to do well in tournaments at least half the time they’re in them. And when I say setup in that context I mean having Mancini and Vialli leading the way to offset the evident lack of quality (Immobile, Pessina) and to exploit the little they did have to the fullest (Barella, Chiesa).

I can’t accept outplaying England for large parts of the game at Wembley, making light work of their group, or sweeping aside a much vaunted Belgian side was fluke. I think the game against Spain was the only game in which Italy were outplayed overall.

@tonyb Italian squad building would have us being lower mid table fighting relegation. Telling the ultras results don't matter keeping us Full Blooded Italian means more.

We deserved to win the Euro but no way that squad is good enough to be considered a top team. Our spirit and our style still bother the great teams. Still England destroyed us in both games in the last group stage

Waistcoat helped Italy win. Basically made England defend the lead from the 2nd min. They only had 1 shot on goal after that. Kept 2 pen takers on the sidelines standing still for 15 mins before bringing them on. Who hadn't had a kick of the ball till the pen and guess what they missed. Refused to attack Italy down the flanks which was Italys biggest weakness the whole tournament despite thats how they got the goal in the first place.

I mean even with FFP, you can make losses of up to 30-50 mil a year. And even losses of up to 80-100 mil per year seems to not bring any penalties from UEFA. What you can't do is take a shitty team like Newcastle and start spending 100 of mils on it. But even for that, the Saudis have a workaround, which is they will loan players from Saudi clubs to Newcastle!

So yes, a super rich owner can easily increase Milan yearly spending by at least 30-60 mil without any major FFP problems.

Those Saudi players will be overpaid right? Especially with growth decree going away, we will have high wages with new players and current performers looking for market adjustments.

And how long would they wait until they’d want to see something out of all this? Don’t get me wrong they would definitely give us a needed boost but I don’t think it’s realistic especially given that Italy is one of the less friendly climates which is why they chose Newcastle in the first place

Italy is still producing talent in every department save the attacking ones, I think that's the major difference.

Scalvini, Udogie, Vicario, etc the talent is there in other positions, but there are no talents in attack. No future Totti, Del Piero, Baggio, Vieri, no young gun talent. Balotelli was the last Italian attacking phenom.

Tournament football, which is what defines international football, depends on slim margins and attackers make the difference in those games and for all the (justified) reverence that Italian defense gets, they've always produced attackers to complement that strength.

Now it seems all their tactical knowhow has just produced more midfield talent than they know what to do with.

First Zielinski and now Taremi for free. I hope this means Barella and Lautaro gone. I can also see Marotta pulling another Onana and selling Thuram to ManU for 120M (=120M plusvalenza).

Only matters if they actually start to slide

You guys are hilarious. You're purely bashing on Buongiorno because he's Italian.
Dragusin - everyone would've went crazy - having seen just as little of him.

What's the difference?
if what you say is true there would be clubs outside of Italy who can easily pay Cairo Dragusin prices for Buongiorno.

Especially Left Footed CB's. As most elite teams want balance at the back.

I guess the loaning Saudi clubs will pay most of the salary.

But that's for Newcastle. I don't think Milan, as a bigger club, needs such a drastic workaround of the rules. Just another 30-50 mil in transfer spending would make a big difference.

Let's see what happens after the stadium is approved by the council. That should accelerate any plans to sell Milan to a super rich group.

To be fair Italian players are usually not flashy but often there are cases were they still make very big leaps in quality compared to were they started with experience and constant growth. However if there is growth decree lets abuse the shit out of it.

This is an Italian club. Get that in your heads. This club belongs more to people from Milan than us. It belongs to Italians. It should have Italians in the squad.
You lot would rather have 7 out of 10 player who isn't Italian over an 8 who is. - Shameful.
Have some shame ffs

Would you guys have taken Henderson this window?

Seems like Saudi Arabia wasn't all that, he's going to Ajax.
