If the report about Gerry making the Fonseca-Conceicao decision on his own, I think we will see a revolution pretty soon. Maybe even in the winter. The guy is an arrogant cunt, but he can surely see that the club is on a negative path and this management is not doing a good job. None of Furlani, Zlatan or Moncada are sure to stay beyond June and I feel that a lot of the fodder they brought will go with them like Merdueze, RLC, Tammy, Emerson, etc. leaving a lot of space for many new players.

Everyone wants the 3 idiots to be gone. If Zlatan does stay on I hope it’s not in the current role he is in. He needs to be given way less power but Gerry loves him for his aura so he may not let him go.

We need shrewd experienced italian directors who command respect both from our players and more importantly in the transfer dealings and in general dealing with other parties.

I too , am hopeful that they will heavily try to rectify the squad. I just hope they realise the urgency in Jan window so we can have bettter chance in second half of the season..

I blame Furlani and Moncada for the hiring of Fonseca, and to some extent Zlatan. Most likely Moncada did his scouting (this time, coaches) in his favorite French league/Ligue 1 and found Fonseca to be a good potential modern coach with interesting football philosophy - above all very cheap. Furlani the finance guy of course liked the idea of hiring this low-cost coach and Zlatan probably was informed somewhere in the middle of negotiations that either Lope or Fonz would be the choices.

I doubt Moncada and Furlani are as experienced or wise enough to consider the cultural fit, winning mentality, personality fit of coaches - it was a money ball decision. I also doubt Gerry is petty enough to limit the coach’s salary to 2.5-3 million euros per year when we are paying 4 million euros to players like RLC and Chuk. I am sure he understands that risk comes with sporting success and failure far outweighs the 2-3 million euros of difference in hiring a very good, proven coach vs a risky option.

Conceicao is still a risk due to not having coached in Serie A but on paper, he is an upgrade over Pioli and Fonseca. I hope Gerry learned his lesson and bring in an experienced Italian Sporting Director in the summer because that role is desperately missing and would fix a lot of issues.

Anybody know Bondo well? I know we've been linked for years but I didn't think he was a solid defensive mid option. I don't know enough about his game though
Don't know much, but iirc he did play pretty well against us

Doesn't make any sense. Not Italian trained and not on the growth decree and will soon be over 22. Weird signing if true. We literally have no space for anyone but Italian or Milan trained at this point.
True, but one mustn't forget that Moncada will never let go of the players he extensively wanted in the past.

Underwhelming.. how??
Yeah they fucked up big time by signing Fonseca to begin with but they still managed to sign a semi big name coach. So lets give them their 8s
If you really think Conceicao is their answer for this shitshow... You are far more optimistic than I am... Seing they tried for Sarri first, which in itself is already a red flag bc this team can't play Fonzball, let alone Sarriball which requires excellent mid 3 of passers. Passers we don't have.

Then we went for the cheapest option again. I liked Sergio as a player and he had good results as a manager against sides that open up. We can say the same of Fonseca. I expect us to be better, don't get me wrong, bc this team is tailor-made for counters. Still, if they really wanted to appease Curva/fans/public they should've gone for a big name, like Allegri (who I hate). That's why they went for Sarri, bc he's still sort of a big name, but works for peanuts. Even he gave us the finger, rightfully so, realizing he couldn't do jack shit with this squad.

I don't think Abate would agree to those terms they offered, seriously. Fuck 1 mil when it'll cost you a lot more potentially in a long run.

I expect results to be better but I think we'll end up exactly where we'd end up with Fonz. I wanted Fonseca gone from september but it's indicative how he ended up practically a hero after all this. Even I feel sorry for him and am pissed at Ibra & co. This sort & level of amateurism I''ve never seen here, Mirabelli was a class act compared to these fuckers.

Shaq put it perfectly: when the general is calm, troops are calm. Look who our generals are...

I saw a series on Paramount + about the making of the "Godfather" titled "the offer" and liked it very much.
Giovanni Ribisi did an excellent job as Joe Colombo that at first wanted to stop the movie from being made but then became a big supporter. The series was mostly about the producer that tried to sell the idea and collaborated with Coppola and Mario Puzo to make it happen. One part depicts how nobody wanted Al Pacino for the role of Michael and Coppola threatened to quit if they didn't. Not surprised of Colombo's interference but at the end all the mafiosi loved the movie. The mafia thing is because they denied that it existed.
Anyway, my favorite movie of all time and the series the offer very entartaining.

BTW, the producer was dating Ali MacGraw of Love Story but she left him for Steve Mc Queen when making the movie "The getaway".
I am a trivia nut and read about every film I watch... And I watched every one there is, almost. Didn't watch the series you mention but these stuff are among trivia on IMDB, even Wiki, where I soak them up.

Regarding good ol' Steve... Younger generations don't get he had Brad Pitt status back then, same as Alan Delon in Europe!

Wasn't the Moncada/Furlani/Ibra Fonseca vs Gerry Conceicao satire? I understood it as a joke playing on the owner being always right

One of the revelations this season is Nico Paz of Como, 20 year old Argentinian CAM product of Real Madrid that I hear some of the top clubs are after.

I haven't really watched him play but TransferMarket already values him at 20million which will surely go up as he gets more experience.

There are rumors of Real interest as well as Inter, Juventus, and Napoli, but nothing from Milan.
If we're going to spend big this is one profile that we should pursue, not players like Bondo that reminds me of Musah.

I posted on Facebook that Jack Nicholson for me is the most talented actor of all time and a lady friend from Italy replied that she doesn't like him. Her favorite is Alain Delon and I explained that I don't judge actors by how handsome they are but by their acting talent.

I'm a movie buff and often google to see if historical films are close to how things really happened or if it's all pure fiction. Did it for Napoleon that disappointed me and though that Joaquin Phoenix was wrong for the part.
Anyway, I now get Paramount + streaming for free but with commercials, a gift from my cable company, and mostly watch Seriea A and Yellowstone, The Lioness, and the new one, "Landman" but "the offer" is the best, only one season, very entertaining that gave a glimpse of how movies are made and an insight into the mafia.

If Monza go down I wouldn't mind picking up Izzo as a veteran rotation CB. He might have too much package though in terms of public profile

We can safely asume that after the way they played in the first half of the season:
Atalanta/Napoli/Inter are a lock for top 3, the only thing that remains to be settled is in which order.

4th place is up for grabs, even with the current 8 point deficit on perpetual cucks Lazio.

That being said, without good reinforcements ( which he won't get ), Conceicao will have a monumental task ahead of him.

I really hope he has what it takes to get us there, and win us the Coppa. That would be a decent season, one that ends on a positive note, one that we could build on.

Paz is really good and will become a brilliant player. He also got called up to the Argentine national team.

But practically Real Madrid owns him. They sold him to Como and retained a buy-back. There is zero chance they'll let any other team have him at this point.

I dont think so we will be in top 4. We need to pray Italy will get 5 places in CL. Conceicao wont have already results. Our team spirit is broken. We need good winter merceto. Our bench sacks.

You will be surprised at some of the intelligence on display at the management level. Some absolute dorks can be at the top. There is always nepo quota, cronyism prevalent in most companies.

Wouldn't surprise me if arts major cardinale knew eff all about the risks. Guy' net worth isn't even 500 mil. How is he even the owner lmao of a club potentially worth 1.5 billion dollars plus

He will be Italian trained by summer of 2025, when he will still be under 22 (birthday in sep)
Then it makes sense to go for him in this case. Are you sure he has enough time to be eligible?

To be fair, the article says that Bondo wants Milan, not the other way around. But I know he’s been rumored before.

He joined Monza in a free transfer in July 2022 when he was 18, spent most of the time in Monza with 6 months in Reggina on loan.

Osimhen is a deal that would make perfect sense.. will be expensive, but it's these kinds of deals that can take us to the next level... not players like Morata

he may not be feasible for January (not impossible though), but he's definitely available for the summer... we will need him to decrease his 10m/season wages because he (and Napoli) discovered the hard way that no one was willing to pay that for him last summer.. I think 50m can work

also, I just found out that there is no such thing as cup-tied players anymore.. even tho Osimhen has already played for Galatasary in the CL, we would be able to register him for the 16th round in February

besides, does Osimhen's current contract with Napoli benefit from the Growth Decree? if yes, we could take him on a 2 year loan + obligation to benefit from it for 2 years until Serie A get's it back... apparently the new president is strongly in favor of it

Just realized I completed 25 years as a Milan fan. Feels like a long time and time is flying. I had no idea what to expect from 25 years in the future back then.

Thank you B&G and Sheva for making me a fan, and giving great memories while growing up :proud:
