They're selling the players with most ability and keeping all the garbage players, when it should be the other way around. We ain't seeing CL anytime soon like this

We missed CL 2 out of the last 3 seasons WITH these guys.

Or did you forget we finished FIFTH 3 seasons ago and got in by the graces of Juve getting punished?

I think Theo is worth keeping if the offer is 16 mil. Anything less than 30 is bullshit he is not old.
You guys are crazy.
Theo doesnt deserve 60mil to expect 30mil on his last year contract, not after the season he gave.
His value at best is 30mil so anything close to 20mil is a fair price.

ya, but he was AWESOME three years ago!!!! And I hate the mgmt right now, so anything less than 50M is a fail (fyi we used to get 0 for our best players)!!

Based on how our transfermarket now, milan for me is just a history club, a good old time, whenever i want to remember my childhood, or good times watched milan with my father on tv, or even when i was young just begin to work. I thank milan for that. But as a club for now like madrid, psg, barca even city, they gaining more fans because they win a lot. If the owner of milan dont take that as a concern, this milan maybe not so much popular in the future

historically speaking, you can't find a team that underperforms as much as Milan has, considering the pedigree of players, coaches and ownership we've had. this is especially true for anything domestic.

even at our absolute pinnacle this club was extremely wasteful. just winning trophies was never why I loved this club, it's well beyond that. I loved them in the banter era, I loved them in the Silvio era, and I love them now.

Things might be frustrating at times, but that's the real joy of sport. The ups and downs. And at this moment, I feel like we might be at the restart of an "up period" based on the serious hires we've made.

But only time will tell.

I have appreciated your arrival here on the forum, welcome.

And I largely agree. The rumoured moves are in line with what most here expected. It maybe hurts a bit more when we send away Mike and possibly Theo, but this team need to be freshened up and those two have not delivered. Not to expectations, and certainly not when put in positions of leadership as captains.

As for replacements, we'll see.

As long as we retain most of our offensive quality, a LOT of change can happen in defense and midfield without the team suffering for it next season. Modric is a nice starting point, but I'd happily sell both Thiaw and Tomori and start fresh with two new guys.

XO. Modric signing, 40yrs old or not, is a key signing in my eyes. Regardless of age, he just put up 2800min, and proved again yesterday he hasn't fallen off the cliff. He could likely pick from a large handful of clubs to go to, especially in Saudi. (I fully agree the cliff is near... But at present time, there is ZERO indication of it happening quickly)

His signing here makes me feel 2 things: 1) fulfilling a choldhood dream, and 2) he knows we will be competitive.

Modric has never screamed anything aside from being super competitive. Why would he stop now? If he wasn't certain about what was going to happen this summer I feel he either wouldn't sign, or would really draw this out late into the summer to see what we've done beforehand.

Again, only time will tell. But we've made 3 serious moves for 3 very serious professionals in the last month. It's a very promising sign.

Perri rumoured in here. Has Moretto adjusted his stance on us having locked down VMS?

We won’t get any better player than the current Theo with such little money. He is definitely worth 30 Million even this version of him.

Why are we eager to sell our players for peanuts? It costs a lot to bring in players that can adequately replace them even in their current form

1) Theo is not worth anything close to 30M at current version. He's a lazy pig on the pitch.

2) We're eager to sell because we've been offered 50 and now 35M for this guy, and we have no plans of renewing him due to his unprofessionalism and performance. Instead, he's refused both and is holding out for a club barely offering 17M for his services. This guy can't get an offer better than 17M WITHIN EUROPE. How can you say he's worth 30 if NO ONE is offering more than 17?

I like Fofana and I think his best days are ahead of him in a Milan shirt. I also believe Jimenez, Pavlovic and Gabbia are worth retaining for future growth and because they put in the work.

Every single remaining defender and midfielder after that can find a new club for my part.

People here arguing about the “true” value of Theo, Leao, Reijinders, Mike etc are missing the point.

All our crap and terrible players are still here. We are only selling the ones that are good or used to be world class at one point and even at that, we are selling them cheap.

It’s impossible to elevate the team by selling off all your players who have shown world class ability either now or a season or 2 ago while keeping all the complete trash in the team.

Start from clearing out the rubbish first and then you will know what you have left before turning to players who have displayed world class ability for us.
