Vlahovic and Giminez are more or less the same profile, Vlahovic being more of a chad. They are poachers/finishers, clinical inside the penalty area. Both are left footed. Neither one of them is known for his ability to create his own chances, they rely on other players to put them in a position to finish. They are not physical or tall enough to bring down long ball and lay off the ball to others, nor can they drop in and dribble their way into dangerous situations. We need just one player of this profile and I prefer Giminez because he's new and already assimilating, he seems like a likeable personality, he has a lower salary.

We will also need two other profiles for the CF role, one guy who is good with the ball at his feet, like Sheva or Pato were and a big dude who can battle with strong defenders and good in the air, like Ibra and Giroud were.

San Siro will hate him
Why - Darwin is a madman, he runs all the time, presses hard and shows fight. It's only the misses and that isn't anything new for Milan.

I still think if given a chance to be a main
striker for a team he can be productive. I obviously prefer his style over Vlahovic but not sure how it will go if he has to share much of the time with Giminez.

He surely has the ability to score goals out of nothing though, something the others struggle to do.

He has never been trusted to be the lead striker there - always shifted as a winger and any dip he was then dropped.

Look at some of his goals though and you can see they came from little to no buildup.
That said though, it would obviously be another if if if player and if it's expensive then it makes little sense.

we're not in Europe, we just have the 38 games... if we build properly with a balanced mid, the Mexican is enough for this season and then buy a kick arse striker next yr.

Out for a walk.
With just Serie A and a few cup games, I’d rather just stick with Gimenez and Jovic. Budget needs to go to defense and midfield, as always. Besides, if we keep Ruben, he should just play as a forward. I honestly feel like he would be better there than in midfield.

Agree but it seems like they aren't happy with Giminez (or think that he is enough) from the rumours to start the window.

You meant Gazza?
Gerrard? Fuck no. Fuck that slipping diving bastard. 2005 final never forget.
Lampard was better.
No way, Lampard is ultra mega overrated. Losing only to Beckham.

The 2005 disaster can't get into the discussion.

we're not gonna win the league...top4 is all we want, load the team with creators and the Mexican score enough to get us in top4... provided the fecker plays as a striker and not as a no.10

Prime Sheva and lewa etc are all better than him. Henry is a choker

As for Keane lmao
Yaya viera scholes he’ll even Carrick kdb David silva
Makelele Fabregas kante Robson paul ince

Were all better than Roy Keane
Yeah.. maybe Scholes, that fella could play too.

I just hope Tare don't confuse Milan with Lazio. Coz if he do, soon we will be hopping to finish #8.

What I read so far.

Svilar.. I don't care much for keeper, who ever it is its ok.

NoRB-Gabbia-Pavlovic-NoLB

Fofana-Rovella-Ricci-Xhaka !?!? How any of those are improvements, idk.

Gimenez-Vlahovic-Retegui-Lucca... still no team to support a striker.

You can win a tournament with a meh defense or with a meh attack, but you can't win anything with a meh midfield.

I was watching youtube the other day, several videos from the past and realized, we don't have a functional midfield, since Pirlo-Gattuso-Ambrosini/Seedorf. Thats 20 years.

We came close of forming a team, we should have today playing for Milan, Fofana-Reijnders-Tonali, several factors changed that, and apparently they will try to repeat that short cicle, buy low and sell high... that won't bring trophies, will bring cash, and none of us are happy with that, specially the ultras.

So, our only expectation should be, how they will build our midfield and starts with Rovella/Xhaka/Ricci its not a good sign.
I want a thin Keeper, a 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 flat and a lot of grinta. We just need that this season.

Yesterday Brazil returned to the 4-4-2, it was beautiful. In the 90's Milan and Brazil played in a 4-4-2. I trust much more play with two strikers than with two wingers.

Darwin as a general attacker is fine. However we need a proper striker in some capacity. Especially in Serie A playing with an allrounder attacker instead of a true striker is shit. A team needs that focal point and off ball presence.

Allegri will make this team "Aim" to win the league. That way if we fail, then we'll at least have top 4 to fall back on.

He's done this for every team he's managed, though his final season with us was a team so stripped of talent that he couldn't manage that.

With the finances we have now and the players we can field, I think we can at least give it a try. Especially since we don't have Europe as a distraction.

A return to the Top 4 will be the goal we need to achieve, so having it as the "fall back" target isn't bad.

Think back to the team he had that finished 3rd, is our current team better or worse than that?
