Out for a walk.
Think back to the team he had that finished 3rd, is our current team better or worse than that?

This squad was much more balanced and well-constructed than what we've had recently. It's the couple years after that our squads were horrendous. The Sinisa team of 15/16 was bang average, but hard working and professional. Then, as now, letting him go for Brocchi was a massive mistake. Embarrassing as a club.

What?
I couldn't give a fuck if Tij was a Milan fan or not. Wasn't Gattuso a Juve fan when he was growing up?
I doubt Van Basten idolized Rivera growing up.
In fact I prefer players who weren't Milan fans growing up. Can't stand Tonali's bullshit, and then he gambles and almost could have gotten Milan into trouble. Yeah fuck Milan fans, including myself.. give me non-Milan fans as players anyday, they can become fans when they play here for years.
I think you misunderstood the context of my post, bruv. Being a Milan fan is not a prerequisite to play for Milan. As long as you're good enough, you're always welcome. But do not give me the unnecessary bullshit that certain players don't wanna leave the team because they love Milan so much, especially those who grew up not a Milan fan. Being gullible is one thing, being delusional is another.

Tijji signed his contract before he became Serie A Best Midfielder. Prior to that, he had only half a season of stellar football. Last season he was decent, but nothing spectacular. Before that, nobody even heard of him. What we offered for his contract extension albeit low, was substantial for him, that's why he signed with a happy heart.

Now when City comes a knocking with the appeal of CL football, being coached by Pep, playing with Haaland and Rodri instead of Musah and Chukwueze, plus tripled salary on top, hearts will change, especially if you have ZERO attachment to the club.

Below average for an ambitious club you mean?

Because as a middling club selling with a history of being poor at it, I would say the value of the deal is anything but, for a player who isn't a superstar.

Let's see what we do in summer and hopefully another Reijnders styled hit arrives.
Even though we were way off the pace when we lost Tonali it was more shocking because we were still in Europe. It's hard to expect a player like Reijnders to remain when a big club comes after such a disaster of a season for Milan.

Given the busts of Emerson, Chuku etc. doesn't really inspire confidence.
Well I'm just merely pointing out the fact that this management haven't done anything amazing in fact they've cocked up the renewals of both Theo and Mike as well. They've done nothing to warrant a grace period or have inspired any confidence. I'm dumbfounded how people actually believe they are doing well.

@DiMarzio: AC Milan in contact with Zinchenko

What a silly move if true, we talk about adding steel and leaders then proceed to deal with a player who has a bottlejob temperament
Zinchecko will do well im a squad thats fully functioning not our situation

Who said anything about doing well. I merely said wait and see what they do with the money.
The player you are pining for they bought so they did at least one thing right.

And as for Mike and Theo - fuck them truly. They fucked themselves with their poor play for seasons. If they played to the level some of you laud them then they would've gobbled up renewals. They have been just as inept on the pitch as the ones at Casa Milan.

Is Rios still good? I remember liking him from Colombia national games not long ago
I'm a big fan of Rios, think he's a complete midfielder, does all the dirty work full of heart and has that joga bonito dribble for progressive carries. Only thing i'm afraid of is that he benefitted from the "magical" Colombia jersey. Like James Rodriguez, James in club jersey is dog poo but James in the Colombia jersey, Ballon D'or. Even last game against Argentina, James was still amazing.

Last week: Allegri will evaluate Gimenez during the pre-season camp.

> this week: Milan want Retegui as the #1 striker, set to break our transfer record for him after investing €30m in a striker in January.

it's not like his mistakes come from the team letting him down and dragging his morale lower

the dude straight up ignores people running past him and has been doing it since week 1, i cant blame the team for any of theo's behaviors. he was supposed to be a leader and he was the first one to quit

he's got a bitch heart in him. even if he starts out strong for another team, it's gonna be a matter of time til he gets complacent and lazy again
He hasn't been rested for the last 2 seasons at the very least.
His season at Milan started straight off the euros in the summer.

Also, he made a lot of defensive mistakes, but last season we had one of the shittiest midfields in history defensive wise.

Fofana and Deers can't protect the defense. Can't and haven't. And don't even mention Musah. :proud:

Theo cannot do basics - tracking runners or marking properly. He also looks overweight. On top of that, he’s mentally very volatile as we saw in the UCL game.

Half the reason Pavlovic looks bad is because Theo often leaves him on an island against 2 attackers, because he couldn’t be fucked to run back

We had done well with Modric already being locked in, after selling our best player. Hopefully it is just a time issue, and he's not having second thoughts. Besides the club and the jersey, there are probably very few aspects about our team or "project" that attracts him.
