Yes, 26 goal contributions in 50 games seems like a great return, no? Well, lets deep dive a little bit:

5 g+a against 36th place Young Boys
3 g+a against 14th place Verona
2 g+a against Serie B Cesena
2 g+a against 20th place Monza
2 g+a against 30th place Sturm Graz
2 g+a against 18th place Empoli

This is 16 g+a in stat-padding games against literal fodder teams. Take out these, and you have 44 games with Atalanta, with 10 g+a. In fact, if we even count national team games, CDK played 44(!!) games last season where he didn't even register a single g+a. 44!

This guy is inconsistent as hell, stat-padding against fodder, but useless in 85% of the games. We were fooled once with a player like this - Chukwueze in his last Villareal season managed to get no goals or assists in 30 league games.

I don't get why some people are still in love with CDK. He is an inconsistent beta cuck, a pussy, who showed he doesn't have the character to be a champion. Even now, when "on paper" he has great numbers, but if you take a closer look at it, you see that he is a fool's gold player. We made a good deal with getting rid of him for 25 mil. It was a necessary loss mitigation.

I really like Gabbia as a locker room guy, as a bench player…

U’ve a really confused perception of football. Everything that is white n Italian is rated much higher.

Yeah, that's probably true but I see Gabbia as more reliable than the others, not as flashy or athletic but safer, capable tackler that blocked some shots on goal, is good in the air and works hard. Maybe not starting material on a big club but useful as a reserve at least.

At the moment we're an 8th place team out of Europe so we have a lot of work to do to get back among the bigs, a good transfer window is fundamental for us, can't miss. Gabbia is someone we should keep if nothing else for the quotas and the fact that he recently renewed until 2029 at 2.2 million per season.
