Sad really… we wanted la seconda stella and consecutive scudetti.. our regular rivals are below us but we still managed to lose.. Napoli won the title tonight

Seriously, what the hell has the management been doing since we won the scudetto? They lost key players for free, they replaced them with absolute losers, they thought that our injury prone players could survive a mid season WC year, they brought in teenagers as their reserves, they didn't renew key players, now that we are getting fucked all I read is that we could get rid of Bakayoko.. where the hell is Maldini and Massara? Shouldn't they be buffing up this frail squad?

Crisis...

We'll probably go on a run in a last 10 games or so, so the season will be sorta salvaged, but it's clear this mid-cycle has come to an end and changes are needed all around.

All this reminded me of a 1999. scudetto, when we won against all odds and instead of majorly strenghtening our squad in all areas, we bought Sheva, Serginho and Roque Junior and called it a day. God bless CDK, but Shevchenko scored 22 goals in his first season and the rest is history.

We failed to make that step forward again, this is basically moot season for us.

We'll see how much Red Bird cares. You buy a team for over 1 billion I would hope you aren't trying to turn it back into the crap it was.

Turns out it was not #daplan afterall
It was Project: Peanut
It was "Project: Win Scudetto, change ownership after Pioli already renewed contract, and shit the bed"

A better run club would’ve sold leao at the peak of his value (just after leading us to a title and being named Serie a mvp) and using those funds to “replace” him with zaccagni and drastically improve the rest of the squad. Those funds would’ve allowed us to replace Kessie, sign Botman and Enzo, and improve the quality of our bench players by signing actual competition for the starters. Instead, we have the mentality of fawning over one player as if he discovered how to dribble a ball. Pioli is also to blame for treating leao as an indispensable Plan A, B and C. Myopic handling of the summer transfer window and the club as a whole.

We chose to prioritize keeping one player instead of selling him to improve the quality of the rest of the squad. You can minutely blame our fanbase as well because the mere mention of selling leao, mind you at the highest value he will be at during his time at this club, was and still is considered blasphemous. We obsess over one player due to a decade of being mediocre and the first decisive player we come across, we get extremely sentimental over. Majority of our fanbase has a mediocre mindset and don’t see the bigger picture.
No zaccagni, no party. They laughed at me when I said to replace leao with him and use those funds to adequately fill the gaping holes in the squad. Instead, we have a primadonna iso merchant with room temperature iq displaying absolutely zero effort.

replace messias with Alexis at half time. Every attack on the right is being ruined by him. He can’t do anything right, especially those dogshit final balls.

Zaccagni is calabria’s daddy. Showing no mercy on the bum. He starts for us because he’s Italian. He shouldn’t be captain, let alone starting. Kalulu should be the permanent fixture at RB.

Dest has played well without any support from Travis Scott. Only gripe I have with him is holding onto the ball and finally passing it to a player right next to him. By then, the opposition have closed down several consecutive passing options. Other than that, he’s done well.

Bennacer is regressing due to us not playing football anymore. How can we express ourselves when Travis Scott and messias are static in our own half and we are resorting to long balls as a result?

Leao can’t be bothered. Thinks he’s better than he actually is. The ghost of Suso is stalking us. Paul made that brilliant profit off of Suso and everything he’s done has gone downhill since. Should’ve sold leao but the shills here believe he’s the second coming of pele. Get so attached to replaceable players and piss on themselves like a dog who’s been left unattended for a couple of days at the mere mention of him being sold.

Giroud can’t be blamed for anything, he hasn’t gotten any service because the ball is constantly being lost before it gets to him. We can’t even string 3 passes together, that’s generous because most of the time we can’t complete 2 successive passes. That is all on Pioli. He made us so dependent on Travis Scott to the point where we forgot how to play. I long of the days when Rebic was bossing the left wing and it was interchangeable between him and leao. Ever since he cemented that wing, he’s so fucking arrogant. Walking around the pitch, no reaction when he loses the ball.

Credit to Sarri. Lazio have played us off the pitch. Their pattern isn’t even complex  Restart play with provedel, move the ball to the right, combinations between rb/rw with narrow players like sms, Luis Alberto, Felipe Anderson and finally a switch of play to zaccagni. They literally did the same pattern for 40 minutes and Pioli hasn’t made any adjustments. Calabria is still oblivious to the obvious switch because he was born out of position.

Would’ve been 3-0 done and dusted if it wasn’t for simon’s heroics.

From the last 19 shots on target, Tata has conceded 11. That’s abysmal. The first goal wasn’t his fault but we need a different player between the posts. This guy is a virus.

Bring on Alexis or move Brahim to rw, bring on vranckx/Pobega and switch to a 4-3-3.

the worst thing, Pioli definitely won’t set up differently to start the second half

Lol they loaned $600m of that billion.

You are wasting your time putting your hopes on them.
A loan is still money they are going to have to pay back. Regardless if this how they are going to operate there should be no expectations for this team.

If I as a fan and surely a lot of you felt the same after last season, that when you looked at our XI it was incredible to believe they won a scudetto. Purely because we have no AM and no RW. On top of that we have one striker who is very old. We fail to make any improvements, thinking we can repeat the miracle. Not only did we not bring in an AM, CF or RW, we believed we could survive with just two young CBs who are among the worst in the air. Kjaer returning to being a reliable option was wishful. We also didn't replace Kessie, just like we didn't replace Hakan.

Now, it's been a long stretch of bad results. In fact, it's been a bad season. I've said it many times, we haven't looked good all season. Relying on grit to get points. Always conceding.

But anyone and everyone can see what needs to be done short term and long term. We need to be ruthless now. Bring in a tall reliable CB. Get an actual attacking threat who can do something different. We have no intelligent, entertaining attackers besides Leao.

Maldini better think long and hard about giving Leao 7M+ a season. I don't see him being worth that much. Very passive a lot of the time. It might be better to take the 100M offer.

The management has a lot of work to do to build a respectable team.

New RB
New CB (or two)
Better back up GK and LB
New anchor DM
New AM who can actually play that role
New CM even
New ST
New RW
New coach and staff
A whole lot of players to get rid of

Honestly, in those positions I think we are either way subpar or too thin. Why on earth did RedBird buy the club if they don't want to spend a penny and increase the value of the club?

Poch, Tuchel, Zidane & Luis Enrique are your current best coaches available right now. Conte probably in the summer.

People pointing the finger at Pioli make me laugh. He's not blameless but how can we win with ONE attacking threat out of 4 starting positions. How can we defend with two CBs who can't deal with crosses and fail to understanding positioning..
