Fiorentina have struck terms with AC Milan for striker Alberto Gilardino.

After a series of meetings this week, a deal has been agreed which will see Gilardino reunited with his former Parma coach Cesare Prandelli at Fiorentina.

Fiorentina will pay £8.5 million for Gilardino, who has agreed to take a hefty pay-cut on his Milan wages to make the move to Florence.

An announcement will be made next week.
