The Serie A influence at Paris Saint-Germain could get bigger in the summer with the arrival of Paolo Maldini.

According to a report in Le Parisien, the 43-year-old could be hired as a defensive Coach to work under boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti and Maldini were former teammates for Milan and Italy, while ex-Rossoneri midfielder Leotardo is PSG’s sporting director.

Maldini has admitted that he would like to get involved in the game again following his retirement in 2009.

He recently vented his frustration that Milan had not offered him any sort of job after serving the club as a player for almost 25 years.

I'm not believing this rumour one bit...does the great Paolo even have a coaching license? If he did it would have been all over the news, like when Baggio was obtaining one...

and dont believe he does. I know you get an auto coaching license if you win the World Cup (or get to skip over some stuff, which is what Leo did) I'm not sure if the same is true for CL victories.

also not sure if there is a difference in badges needed to be an assistant coach vs a head coach
