He plays his best in the centre of the park. Still does so for Juventus and still does for italy. Just think of people like nocerino who play as a mezzala. Does pirlo's game resemble that by any chance? Allegri is very strict about what he wants from each player and frankly pirlo doesnt suit any of our midfield roles. You dont limit a person with a distribution range of pirlo to one side of the park. Its fine for a couple of games but you are shitting yourself to think he would have been a permanent fixture there

I know. Just saying that if Allegri had to choose a position for Pirlo it was LCM, which has been the case. Obviously Allegri cares more about his formation than Pirlo, so his departure was pretty much inevitable I figure. No one really wanted to continue with each other enough. Allegri for already said reason, and Pirlo because Juventus could make him happy by giving what he wants.

Exactly. If i had my way i would have gotten rid of all the ancelotti core gang by now because our play was getting too stale. Rino , ambro, seedorf, pippo on borrowed time and i dont mean to be disrespectful but i hope i dont see them next season. Change:thumbsup:

I also want to see this change. Seedorf has been our worst midfielder nowadays, and Gattuso, well, he is willing to stay for free, so I guess that can't hurt, even if it's only to give him a proper goodbye match, and his presence alone is a good thing of course, it's Gattuso, good influence. :)

With Pippo's age, injuries, and being barely used, seems pointless to keep him. From the mentioned ones Ambrosini really is the only one showing good game nowadays, but rarely for a full match. If we keep Van Bommel and hopefully sign Sandro, then keeping Ambrosini is pointless anyway.

The only "big" club in the world who wanted him was Juve, so It was inevitable.

They built their team around him, that's a fact. And for many reasons, they have succeeded as much as us up to now, but that's because of Milan not being in top form all the time, not Juve being as good as Milan.

As Buffon said, without Pirlo going to Juve we would win scudetto too easy, but now there's a fight.

I personally don't "hate" hate him, but of course seeing him annoys me a little bit since he did nothing for us in past years and now tries his hardest for Juve.

Who cares about Pirlo? Seriously? He used to be a great player and is now a pretty good player for a pretty good team who have a very small chance of winning the league title because they're not much above average and have to fight for their lives to beat teams like Siena and Parma. All the attention his haters are giving him makes him look a bigger player than he actually is. I'm starting to suspect Ashish is a Pirlo fanboy.:o

He was fantastic yesterday, it's a shame that our forwards can't finish to save their lives...

:lol::lol::lol: @ 3:52 fail

Looks like a good performance though. Would love to have someone with his passing and dribbling skills at LCM against good sides who press our midfield.

Seen it. Pirlo boring and depressing when sides press him. Low level nocerino trolling.

Cant imagine the horror show that will occur when no one from our mid field bothers crossing the half way line. Pirlo only moves forward when he has acres of space.

There was a reason I didn't say I want Pirlo at LCM.:o

Though that would've been much better than having Nocerino there.

doesnt matter where u play Pirlo. If u are talking about a good pressing side he will be pressed everywhere especially the mid field. At LCM he will have even lesser options to move than at centre.

I didn't say I want him in the middle either. I was thinking of a mezzalla with his passing and ball skills.

but u know mezza'la has to move forward with the ball. Pirlo doesnt usually move forward unless he sees a lot of space. I rarely see him taking on opposition players, dribbling past them and then charging forward a-la what seedorf used to do.

Ok we saw a bit of it against the small fries we were destroying last year when he played there but when we are talking about a good pressing side i dont really see that happening.

I don't count Pirlo as a (good) mezzala. And I don't see why a mezzala with faster legs, stronger body and defensive skills wouldn't be able to have Pirlo's passing and dribbling/ballshielding skills. Aquilani fits that description to some extent.

I don't see why it's so hard... Allegri could have adjusted his midfield anyway.

Have 2 mezzala's... pirlo central but not as advanced, anchor behind....

I'm sure had pirlo have stayed, he would have found a way to utilize him. He was working on it anyway then he got hurt, and allegri did the right thing in not making a gigantic tactical shift at end of season.

Something like..

on paper....

--Zlatan--Robinho
Urbz--Pirlo--Boateng
--------MVB-----

but with movement of all, it would shift. W/e

honestly it would have been worth it to pay him to stay even if you never wanted to play him, Juve would be 10 points further back easily.

We really could have used him here this season too... I think that Nocerino and Prince would have worked really well with him due to their willingness to run and that he would have enhanced the good season Ibra is having
