We had true genius in pirlo, and in 2006, he proved he is capable of carrying a team. Instead they fucked up a billion times on market and wasted him.

Don't care if 'he needs bodyguards' (overrated btw, juve dont have a gattuso persay), or if he 'only passes'.


He possess the RARE gift of being someone who makes everyone around him better. Give me that any time over zlatan, ronaldinho etc.

I always go back to 2008 market, but such an epic failure. For same fee we paid for ronaldinho and zambrotta we could have got etoo and maggio (or vargas). All who were heavily linked to. We could have rocked a mean 4-4-1-1 w/ kaka off etoo, and a wide mid, aka.... thrive on pirlos ability while holding a good defensive shape.

technically.... we thought aquilani could replace him.

And while Aquilani cannot do it fully, we probably had enough other quality, that if aquilani stayed fit and we werent cheap as fuck, we'd be able to hold juve off.

But that's not how the cards fell, i suppose
