Ian, your post is pretty revisionist. Look at Barcelona before Guardiola and the problems the club faced with Frankie boy and the club's massive penchant to underachieve.
Oh, my mistake if you got it wrong. I didn't mean "problem" was the achievement, but the situation we are in. Situation that could be mentioned in this case:
1. Our management is not willing to spend the necessary money...the coach rarely gets the player he needs.
2. This season other clubs are better in investing and reinforcing their squads. As we are being cheap, the effect of other teams have good transfers is quite huge for us.
3. Berlu very often gives our coaches hard times.
4. We sold our star and first-team players, and the management still have not replaced them appropriately.
5. Maybe injuries...I'm not familiar with Barca squad health conditions in 2008–09, but it couldn't be as bad as we are in now. Especially with our first-team and subs are quite different in quality.

Barca was not in this situation. In 2008-2009 season, first season for Pep...Barca's management even spent 88,000,000 euro to accommodate Pep.

I don't think we can have fair situation (or even come near) if we compare Pep first year at Barca with Pippo at current Milan..Pippo would have too many disadvantages...thus, lesser chance of helping us like what Pep did at Barca. So, I still think that -assigning Pippo as our coach now- will only reduce the benefit that Milan could get in the future.

As for Seedorf...I prefer him to work like what Leo did before became manager for us. Leo used to help us to get talented Brazilian players. If Seedorf worked for us as PR and scout...we might have better chance signing talented Dutch players against other richer teams (especially teams from EPL and La Liga).

Pippo Mio creating some devilish formation. Looks like 3 defenders, 2 backs pushed forward. Go on Pippo go on :devilehh:

I'm pretty certain he is just perfecting his strategy for Connect 4. Notice the colors? Brilliant Inzaghi.

Inzaghi has got a lot of motivation, spirit and energy which is enough to drive any team over the edge. This is what we need right now determination, confidence, passion for the team, something yang/positive; a real man to lead his pack.

Does Allegri have any of that? No, none. He's just a confused and dumb ditzy head.

Yea it would be weird as

I guess if you are a younger player its not as bad, you would look up to the experience guys.

give him a few years to clear out the old guard then put him in charge

There is also the other side of the coin where Inzaghi could find it easier to settle in as coach of the first team if he has former teammates to help him.

So I guess it is very subjective to the particular case, and it shouldn't be too big a factor in the decision unless the management knows for certain that it'll go one way or the other. Then yes, it could influence the decision.

Pippo has always been something of an animal. If I think of the perfect striker, he’s certainly not the first one to come to mind. He’s an incomplete player. Still, inside the penalty area, no player on earth can compete with him. He woos and seduces the soccer ball. Inside that limited area, he scores in every way imaginable: striking with his right foot, his left foot, with cannon shots, ricochets, shots off the thigh, the shin, back heels, with eyes shut tight, shots off his ass (often off his ass), with his fingertip, goals off of penalty kicks gone astray, off his ear, his big toe, through mind control, and even with his shoelace. There are times when another player scores and he celebrates anyway.

Pippo was Pippo. Even though they’d never admit it now, a number of players came to ask me one thing: “You aren’t thinking of letting Pippo play, are you? Don’t you see the shape he’s in?”

The amount of enthusiasm and passion that guy emits is enough to light a fire in every players ass for whole season. Also, if he worked so hard at tactics as a player i cannot imagine how much work he puts in as coach.

He has potential to be one of the best coaches in the history of the game .

Please save us Pippo!

I want him to have some more time before he is promoted to first team coach.

I dont want him to leave Milan because the team doesnt do great, or lose him like Roma lost Montella because a star option (Prandelli perhaps?) comes along

Give him a little more time to develop as a coach
