Billy is from Belgium, true.

And shut your mouth about Vermaelen. He got voted 2 times as best Arsenal player, no one ever did that as newbie in the first 2 months.

:star:Vermaelen:star:

Qualified: Denmark, Switzerland, Slovakia, Germany, Spain, England, Serbia, Italy and Holland all make it into WC2010.
I think this is the first time Slovakia has qualified after Czechoslovakia divided. Congrats to them. :star:

Teams advancing to play-offs: Portugal, Greece, Slovenia, Russia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Ukraine, France and Republic of Ireland.

Notable absentees: Sweden (lol), Czech Repuclic, Croatia, Romania.

this may be a dumb and far belated question... Why did Italy have to go thru qualifying? LOL. Thought defending champ got auto bid

sweet words, thank you.

Spain definitely is the biggest favorite to win the WC. Not saying this 'cause they trashed us 5:2:D, but because they did it without several key players.
I'm very disappointed with the final score. We had many chances, our finishing was quite poor just like the defense. But thats what you'll get when playing with 3 players behind.

I tip Spain too. They look stronger than Italy, Germany, and England. Just compare the players. If not Spain, then Brazil.

I hope for Germany, else Italy though.

the rules changed not too long ago. i think as far back as 2002, not too sure on that. now only the host nation(s) qualify directly

Fat weed smoker is going to lose this one

last time i checked he was a cock snorer.

also, here's some statements from Croatia coach:

Croatia coach Slaven Bilic said poor finishing had cost his team a place in the finals and declined to answer whether he would stay in charge.

"We will sit down in a few days and analyse the entire situation with the rest of the staff and the FA officials before I make a decision," he told Croatian television.

"We missed a lot of chances today and that has been the story of our qualifying campaign.

"Too many times we hit the woodwork, too many times our shots went just high or wide, our luck deserted us and all I can do is wish Ukraine good luck in the playoffs."

great words from a great man.

i wonder what the f@ck he just did?

also, why in the thread of WC qualifications,we have a poll about maradona and his team?
wtf? why not the poll for a prediction in 2010?

no it doesn't, if they draw, they qualify, if they lose they get to the play off (unless ecuador win, in which case Argentina are out) if they win, it doesn't matter and they are through.
