AC Milan has announced that Alexandre Pato has made a complete recovery from his niggling muscular injuries.
The 22-year-old striker had returned to action in April after a month on the sidelines, but a new muscular injury forced him to miss the rest of the campaign.
The news comes as a timely boost for the Brazil national team, with Pato included in the Selecao's squad for an upcoming series of friendlies.
"AC Milan would like to announce that that medical tests have shown that Alexandre Pato has made a full recovery from his injury problems," a club statement read.
Pato, who made just 18 official appearances in 2011-12, has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain and Corinthians in recent weeks, but Milan is expected to hold onto the striker in the wake of this news.
The former Internacional player, who cost Milan around 24 million euros in 2007, will join up with with his country for friendlies against Denmark, the United States, Mexico and Argentina.

Pato has missed much of the campaign due to a series of thigh problems that baffled medics, but has been declared ‘healed’ in time for the Olympics in London.
“I have been working hard for a month, but effectively since the match with Barcelona on April 3 I have only trained,” the striker told the Corriere dello Sport.
“In any case, I am ready, physically strong and at the disposal of Brazil. The Olympics are my objective after our elimination in the Copa America last summer.”
Pato was one of many who picked up numerous injuries over the course of the campaign at Milan, so the club is taking action.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Rossoneri are hiring American physiotherapist Bill Tillson to act as an athletic trainer.
It is a new role for the fitness staff, aimed at ensuring players are ready to make their comebacks after a period out due to injury.

William Tilson?
I'm sure this guy was in Milan staff years ago.
I sympathise with Pato ,because like him , I too struggle to grow a beard![]()
Pato's beard is great, he's come along way. He used to be sort of dorky
.....wouldn't say great ,but better ...solid 3-4 months of underutilised testosterone Pato apparently wont be playing tomorrow.
Best way to avoid injuries.
If we play him little to zero next season, he will finally be injury free.
