Many impressionable people do that sort of thing though, copy everything from the greats, way they chew gum, shoot, juggle etc.
It will still come down to what they have inside come crunch time.
To pass judgement on the kid for that is a bit harsh especially seeing how his game when he arrived and played didnt resemble any player in particular.

The thing i would have wanted him to learn from maldini is hard work, dedication and discipline.
He probably lacks in all 3. His work ethic on the pitch is poor. His dedication to Milan I am not sure because I dont know what motivates him.
His lack of discipline tho isnt even up for debate. From his outbursts on Allegri to Gattuso flipping out on him his lack of discipline has been well documented.
and you would have done the same things and even more.
and what does this show?
I wouldnt copy him... because i would be too busy worshipping him.
