Ok, game. I hope he develops into an all-around forward instead of being an old-fashion '9'.

I would settle for the later if he turns out to be world class at it.Right now his just a mediocre player with potential to be great. But that`s just it,he never seems to reach his potential.

He can be if I think of how he played the second half of the season that we won the scudetto. Not like Ibra, but more like Van Basten. (Best and most complete CF, I have seen in ages.) Pato needs to work on his passing and mental aspect of the game.

Last two years I sometimes saw Pato trying to hold back two defenders at once like Eto'o/Hulk. Was kinda interesting but he's just not that type of player. Want to see a Pato-Boateng striking duo. Seems like it would work well, Boateng highlight videos have a few goals with Pato involved. My Favourite was the Supercopa one vs inter.

Pato is Ronaldo R9 reincarnated. He only needs to find the right mentality and focus, and hes there, the best player in the world.

Any comps of him with Brazil at the Olympics?

His been here 5 years and has a average of 20 games at best started/season.Yes that`s mediocre.

Im not talking about his potential,im talking about what he actually achieved here. And that`s not really much.

Pato:"Ibra is a great champion, he did great things in rossonero, but we are ready to play without him.I'm sure we can do well, we are strong in every position and if everyone is united we'll be great to watch. We are ready to fight for the scudetto and entertain the fans.In September it will be 5 years since I came here, yes, I am young, but I'm also one of the old guard now and I'm happy to be still here in Milan.I want to stay here for a long time. I'm finally feeling great, I've been training really hard this summer, now I'm working well with Brazil"

Robinho was supposed to be the new Pele but he never developed physically or mentally despite being technically almost perfect.

now hes out of Ibra's shadow and after almost being sold last winter, Im sure he will be hungry on the pitch again. he needs to be injry free first and foremost

it's not even 'ibra's shadow' . It's the style of play. When we play a fluid direct attack, he scores a lot.

Even in 2010/11 with Ibra we did this. And of course when Ibra was out, he scored well w/ robinho who naturally links w/ him better (robinho, less time on ball, quicker decisions)

-

I go back and forth on kaka.... but if kaka's got anything left in tank, his style + team milan's assembling (more direct vertical) will only benefit pato

Just cause he is from Santos youth?

Pelé was an incredibly powerful player - fast and strong as it gets.

Robinho was always on the other end... He had to overcome his lack of size and strength all his career.

I meant Ibra's shadow not just in abstract/psychological terms, but also tactical. Pato should be liberated now to do his stuff on the pitch, but also be more responsible and imposing.

Pele wasnt tall either... and Robinho has always been pretty fast, but he never developed any strength. Look at what Cristiano did, if Robinho was that determined to develop physically it would have been a lot different for him
