Watch the game, look at Seedorf. If you don't see any passes, you are blind.

Noone blames Nocerino, he just isn't talented enough to play these kind of games without looking out of place.

Watch the game, look at Seedorf. If you see him run like Nocerino does you are blind.

He isn't as good as Seedorf with the ball, I didn't say he was.

Whilst I don't think that far, people seem to think he's like Mesbah with a beard, he's reliable, and it's better to have him in your team than a midfield 3 with an average age of 34. I think people would realise his importance if he went missing from the first 11 for a while.

He's an improving player as far as his midfielder role is concerned. But we can easily get better replacements.

But the thing is that he is not in the team by virtue of being a midfielder. If a player scores 9 goals running from the midfield over a season, he's irreplaceable in my book.

No matter what potential scenario in which an extraordinary playmaker magically dishes out 9 goals to our forwards..

Hence, I'd rather Nocerino improve his midfield qualities. And I think he's doing so.

Possible, but our strategy was to hoof it up when we had the ball (Which was the right strategy) - naturally hoofing can't be 100% accurate.

My point is that tonight was one of Nocerino's better games, in terms of his midfield activities. Absolutely no need blaming him tonight.

agreed about the hoofing part.Didn't particularly like it but It seemed, with our current squad and Barcelona being Barcelona, like the best strategy.

Not blaming him just acknowledging the facts. His heart in the game is admirable to me as is his contribution to the squad. His ability is questionable though.

I didn't compare Seedorf to Nocerino(who in their right mind would even do that after tonight) but I was commenting on you when you said nobody made any passes.

No hard feelings bro:)

Plain average .. Running like a headless chicken all game .. Yes he gets into nice positions and scores against mid table teams .. But against quality opponents a liability as he just can't defend.

I love his heart and wish he stays in Milan for many years as a rotation player. For .5 million an absolute steal for a squad player too.

Nocerino pissed me off a lot. Everytime someone fucks up in attack (misplacing a pass over and over again, losing possession a zillion times, being a dumb fuck) it was freaking #22. He was so awful, damn, no wonder he was so cheap.

From our starters he was our worst player clearly. In the big games, he is bad all the time. Is he a huge choker or just not that good? Or both?

Oh, so awful, he ruined so many attacks... what if we had a proper player instead of him... (we would have won?)

The idea of him as a permanent starter is a bad joke especially if it's based on the goals he's scored. More than likely this year winds up as aberration and he's never be able to reach or built upon this tally. That well is already showing signs of drying up.

The main problem is that he offers so little to the team in of terms building attacks and doesn't compensate for this with great defense. He often makes the most basic things in possession seem harder than they should be. If marked even just decently you can almost see his mind struggle for ideas and chances are he will give the ball away. The team has to do the work for him in every phase to find him when he's free and even when they do this, be it in counters or in the final third of late, he doesn't have the quality to be decisive. Essentially, what he amounts to is a passenger, just along for the ride.

As usual, useless against the big sides

I am just afraid that the management sees him as a starter next season because of his goals...

Pretty much it will be.

Seriously Nocerino should be definitely kept, but feature only against smaller sides. Terrible with the ball under pressure and chased the shadows of Barca players' barely whole game...

Did better than expected. His obvious technical mediocrity was obvious, but can't be mad at him. He showed a lot heart and was good positionally. Those of you who were riding his dick like he was the second coming Jesus a couple of months ago and are now pissed off and insulting him should really STFU and choke on a dick.

There are far too many to name past & present
Noc is good as a squad player, but him startin every week you see how limited he is with each passin game, especially in the big important ones.

Still our 2nd leadin goalscorer :fp:

Wednesday March 28 2012 Nocerino: 'Barcelona respect Milan'

Antonio Nocerino points out Milan “did not allow much to the strongest team in the world and Barcelona respect us too.”

The 0-0 first leg draw leaves qualification from the Champions League quarter-final wide open going into the Camp Nou next Tuesday.

We played a good game and know they are a great squad. We tried to take advantage of a few of their mistakes and could’ve scored especially in the first half.

In any case, we did not allow much to the strongest team in the world. Barcelona respect us too, as we are also a big club, so now we’ll gamble with qualification in Spain.

We will try to play the way we did tonight, limiting errors and trying to score.

confused, scared, little awareness. Would usually result to getting rid of the ball on his first touch because of the combination of the three i mentioned. He had space several times down the right but didnt take it and took the easy rout, a long ball across field. I dont think it will be easier for him in spain.

I'm sure Noce was under instruction to not move forward as much as usual but he was definately off, I'm suprised he didn't get subbed out for Urby or Aquilani though he did make it difficult for Keita.

reason he plays is because he holds defensive shape(tactical awareness)well.

he is not the most skilled but he knows where to be on the field and thats why Allegri uses him.

^^^ his role is not to score but to keep the ball moving in midfield and defend when needed, everything else is a bonus.

Great, except for the most part he doesn't do either particularly well and scoring goals has been his biggest contribution.

It's whatever though, I thought he made some nice interceptions yesterday and was important in our defensive effort.

as time goes by, we get to see how average Nocerino is.... he was quite bad yesterday... very overwhelmed by the spotlights.... he just runs and runs but really shouldn't be a starter at Milan... true that Urby played even worse (against Arsenal too), I just feel Urby can offer more than Nocerino at midfield for the game at Nou Camp.

A very limited player who has heart but has no class needed for Milan winning CL...

That is realism.

a lot of people are always whining that we lack quality

we lack fit players....to many oldies and injury-addicts

noce can become WC, he just needs to work harder and cooperate with the team

There's not a single game this season where we could say he was MOM, let alone best midfielder. He just doesn't have that kind of ability so it's hard to imagine him becoming world class.

Antonini in the past month or two has had games where he was arguably our best defender

Nocerino can become world-class? :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

We lack quality in midfield even when all are fit and that is a fact, my friend. There is heart (Ambrosini, Gattuso above all), but not enough overall quality.

Van Bommel is our only real world-class midfielder while Seedorf can still turn in majestic performances when he wants to and Boateng can't deliver constantly week after week due to his injuries. The rest is the definition of mediocrity.

It took you this many games to find out?
