Contributed next to nothing for 90 minutes, then did well to win a corner.

i know you shouldn't give credit for not quitting, but he exemplified the notion 'play till the last whistle'

I appreciated that.

Imo he did very well tonight, don't forget that he's new here and then he plays against the best in the starting eleven, not so easy for him, but Nocerino did help us today

Very solid performance again! That is enough to get into the first eleven!

I am pretty sure he will play basically every game from now on because we need a player that give 100 percent all the time.

This guy just couldn't stop running. He might have lost possession a few times but man, he's epic defensively!

Another Galliani master stroke.

Gattuso's heir signed for 500K. He should be our RMF starter in all games where 2 defensive mids are required.

Rino after his horror last game performance and Nocerino's performance today is fit to be in the bench every day now.

This is going to be Prince type of signing for Us. Unexpected, cheap player to bench Gattuso and Ambro. This is going to prove to be our best signing this year.

I'm not going to pass a judgment...

this must be the biggest match he's ever played in...didn't make any stupid errors...hopefully he will get better

Maybe, I am seeing something different but this the 2nd game in a row; I have not seen what he did that was so impressive.

I'm just not seeing this. Completely different styles of play.

pretty much.

closest player to rino is mascerano

in serie A, Nainggolan on cagliari showed a very similar style to rino with more ball composure.

don't really think milan need a direct rino replacement thoughi n allegri's midfield. We need someone like MVB, and then a couple 2 way CMs more adept than nocerino/prince with the ball

He is solid. Came last minute and didn't have pre-season with the rest. This is going to be first choice DM in next 5 games.

I agree.

I cant really understand how some people havent seen what he does. Download the game and just follow his actions.

He is always in the right position.
When the opponents get the ball he will run fast and help in defence (unlike Seedorf, Ambro and the rest who will do some jogging)

He has not showed much in offence yet but His defence so far is better than any other midfielder in Milan and we have such poor midfield in defence that kind of player is simply neccessary.

he was O.K, but considering the fact its his first start against the best team in the world, I'm 100% sure he'll improve, glad we have a midfielder who can run for 90min and actually has enough skills to play the ball and move.

What? Milan midfield defense is actually pretty good with or with Nocerino. It's the creativity and attacking aspect where they fail big time.

FINALLY!Its fucking almost 2012 and we were the only club who didnt have a defensive midfielder who couldnt pass or move.Players like Gattuso and Flamini are terrible in possesion(even if Rino had his good games),they only conquer the ball but dont know what to do with it.

Nocerino is the perfect example of a modern defensive midfielder, one that can give good passes and move to give the other players more passing options.Flamini and Rino are players who are soooo 1990...a defensive midfielder has more things to do than just defend, modern play is asking more from DM's now.Just like how CB's cant just defend but are also important in build up play.

this is one of the reasons why he is crucial for Milan.

Rino can finally retire safely knowing that his replacement is here. It's not about talent, it's all about attitude, fuckers. This guy has so much heart, passion, and spirit. Such a hardworker. An unsung hero. I'm sooooo glad we bought him. So much love for him already.

Ran his heart out on the pitch and fought till the last breath. An attitude of a Milan player. Love you Nocerino and Grazie!

I'm happy for nocerino.. this was probably the first 'real' big game of his career and he ran 11kms, a good margin more than his nearest teammate... good things to come once he settles in fully and gains more confidence

You know what is best. We paid 500k or he would come for free. We paid 7million for Prince and 4 for Urby. We paid 3million to buy Abae back. Prince and Abate are worth at least 10 now. Urby is easily worth the same if he gets a proper run, he already is worth about 7 in this inflated market. Now Nocerino, a proper DM who can come and don't shit pants while representing the biggest team in the world against the best one at the moment is worth gold. Man U went through dozens and still didn't find another Keane while we potentialy got a DM ready to play CL for 500k. How can you not love G?

I watched him closely today, and I must say, there was nobody in our midfield who took up such smart defensive positions. Fantastic buy for just 500k. We should try him as a pure DM, I'm sure he'd strive there.
