Nocerino was surprisingly good today, excellent passing, got into good positions.

He's a good player to have in the squad.

Yes. It's like none of you did.

The only one who had less touches than Nocerino was Pazzini.
Passing sideways and backwards - anyone can do that. You don't even have to be a footballer to do that successfully, especially against Pescara.

Even Urby ( I hate him) is more useful.

It isn't Noce's job to dictate play, IE, be on the ball ALL the time, like Monty and Ambro. You need to get over the fact that Noce is a box to box midfielder, not a ball winner, not a creator. Once you realize this extremely basic, and obvious, fact, you'll then see how much of a quality player Noce is.

Box to box? Surely not. What does he do in our box if he does not have to win back the ball? And what does he do in the opponent's box if not create?

A B2B contributes in both phases. Nocerino contributes only (and that too partially) in the transition. His best quality appears to be able to run all over the pitch and position himself to collect the lose balls. You can call him a midfield poacher though.

He is a limited player. But he seems to have been a positive influence during this phase when we have managed to turn things around a bit. So maybe Rino chose well to hand-pick him. And we need such player (for the moment at least)

Hating on his latest game

Antonio Nocerino [Milan]
Always aware where his teammates were on the pitch and set up many of their attacks. Opened the scoring after 35 seconds, coolly slotting home at the back post from Stephan El Shaarawy’s clever pass. Sublime.

Good game. On his way to again convince or deceive the management into thinking we already have 2 sure starters and quality players for the mezzalla roles(him and Monto).:proud: He sure knows how to pick his moments. Right before the transfer window opens.:proud:

Yaaay, at least 6 more months with Noce as a starter.

So you hate the player who never moans when he's not in the starting line-up, the player who can be used on the whole left side and in the center, the player who always plays his games and has 100% dedication, the player who's never lazy and always give himself to the fullest.

Says more about you than about him.

The thing is..

In the past Milan wouldn't even have thought about a player like Urby. And now we are actually happy to have a player like him. Says much about how far we've fallen. That's what makes it painfull.

However he has surpassed my wildest expactations and does well here. I'm happy he's at milan. Perfect squad player, but not a star like we used to have.

Seriously, where the fucking hell do you complainers come from? I swear, there must be some dipshit creating accounts, constantly going on about how far we've fallen. Just stfu about that.

Fucking noob...SO WHAT if he makes runs...most of the times he can't control the ball even if they get to him...and out of the times he does, most of the times he won't score & make the right pass...

Average player. Shouldn't even be squad material, though he might be for the current Milan side.

Fuck all of you who call him a "fighter", someone who works his ass off for the team etc. Not only does he suck at passing, controlling the ball and winning the ball back, his stamina or workrate is also average. If the "distance covered" stats aren't convincing enough for you to realize this, then just watch him carefully.

He goes up to play like some kind of real 9, without being exceptional at it, to then jog back and watch as the teammates try to win the ball back and when or if they do, recieves a simple pass which he(if not being pressed)makes a simple pass with to begin new CF adventures or (if getting pressed) fucks up by failing to control it or making a bad pass...

Not only doesn't he win any aerial battles, he tends to not even try to get himself involved to at least disturb them, unlike shorter and smaller players than him.

The main difference between him and all the average B2Bs is, they haven't played many games for top clubs who dominates most matches possessionally, especially ones with creative forwards like Ibra/Cassano/Binho to be able to play like this or get the idea to do it. It doesn't take a genius to do it. Muntari does this, Flamini does this, Yaya Toure does it, Sebastian Larsson does this, Vidal, Marchisio etc. They don't go to the extreme with it though because they also take other responsibilities.

Average player. But looks like he'll be a starter for at least another 6 months, maybe even more than that.

When Nocerino doesn't score, people shit on him. It's as simple as that.

This is bullshit.

Is that supposed to be a mock on the box to box position or on Noce? :fp:

I always shit on him.

My definition of "fighter" and "workhorse" in this case is someone who works harder and more than others. Noce might be giving his all, but his stamina and workrate isn't exceptional or even above average.

You might think he's a fighter because he's doing his best and can't help he lacks talent, but then we're discussing different things.

Is that supposed to be a mock on the box to box position or on Noce? :fp:

Not mocking, just saying his ability to get in goal scoring positions and scoring is being exaggerated and is not that special. Not like this is some world class quality he has which can or should make us forget about the rest.

Pretty much. That's what I ask of all players, to give their best. Nocerino always does that, therefore I respect him.

Lampard made a career out of it. Hamsik, Marchisio, et al are doing the same now. Don't see why when it's Nocerino it's nothing special.

Was poaching also nothing special? Did you think Pippo, Van Nistelrooy, Crespo, Vieri, etc were average?

lampard made a career out of it? come on man...he's way more than just a CM poacher.

marchisio is a polished version of nocerino, he looks much better because he has better players around him with a proper system, he was nothing special when juve just came up/ were shit.

I think nocerino would score like 15 goals if he played for jube, I'm serious.

Are you seriously comparing Nocerino to Hamšik, Lampard and Marchisio?

Agreed, but his game depends a lot on intelligence and movement, similar to Nocerino. That was my only point. Of course Lampard is a much superior player to Nocerino in almost every aspect.

Lampard is one of the few English players I like. Those Chelsea years with Mourinho. :proud:

marchisio is a better polished version of nocerino, he looks much better because he has better players around him with a proper system, he was nothing special when juve just came up/shit.

100% agreed with this.
