Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has told Nelson Dida to quickly come to a decision on his Rossoneri career.
The goalkeeper’s agreement expires in June 2007 and their has been whispers of a split given that talks over a new deal have not yet brought a compromise.
The Brazilian’s agent, Oscar Damiani, had recently stated that the two parties were close to an agreement, but the knee injury suffered by Dida in Athens has brought negotiations to a halt.
“I hope Dida renews his contract as soon as possible so we can stop all the rumours involving our goalkeepers,” said Galliani.
“If Dida opts not to sign for us then we will be forced to consider alternative options,” he added.
“Nelson is aware of our conditions and knows there are parameters that must be respected. Obviously he remains our first choice and if he stays with us he will be the No 1.”
The club have been linked with Marco Amelia of Livorno and AEK shot-stopper Stefano Sorrentino as possible Dida replacements, but Galliani insists they are not on their way after Christmas.
“There will be no arrivals in January,” added the chief. “We will not make any moves on the market because we hope that Dida will recover sooner than expected from his injury.”
Galliani was also asked to comment on Ramon Calderon’s latest Kaka pledge after the Real Madrid chief said he didn’t think his gravestone would say: ‘Here lies the man who did not bring Kaka to Madrid.’
“I don’t know what to say, I don’t like this gravestone talk,” responded the Rossoneri official.
“In any case, I will try to do all I can so that mine will one day say: ‘Here lies the man who kept Kaka at Milan.’”

Oh, sure. Galliani practically puts a gun to his head and expects him to make a decision a week after his knee was turned to shredded wheat and there's no idea how he'll be performance-wise after he comes back. Rushing him back isn't the solution either: He's not getting younger, and if he resigns now and it's discovered that he isn't physically up to par anymore, he'll waste four years on the bench. Desperate men say desperate things.AC_Wesley said:Milan set Dida deadline Wednesday 29 November, 2006

Well, whether or not any truth exists here is irrelvant.BMWTaylor said:From the "not in a million years" department:

Who is to doubt this? World class perversion freaks exist in all walks of life....including between the posts.Passion for *9* said:Gossip gossip gossip...
Maybe the Italians here could shed some light on Dida's not so private private life ? I've read sth about extramarital escapades![]()
It seems like a flimsy argument, though. That would be like putting all your chips in the pot when you know you have a bad hand. OK, so Dida goes over there (like it'll ever happen, though). What's he going to do when Cech gets back, rot on the bench? He wants first-team football and he sure won't get it over there after awhile.zZ[-_-]Zz said:i believe Dida shares the same agent as Shevchenko... and i believe he is tryin' to force Milan to agree to Dida's contract by linkin' him to Chelsea...

Meanwhile, thanks to one good game, the papers are now fawning over Kalac as if he'd just discovered uranium.![]()

i almost fainted laughing with this commentary!...nice one bmw
No way is he coming back in January as much as Galliani wants him to.but i think dida will not come back from this one..i hope yes but...i think he will not be with us until CL quarter finals or semis
My point exactly.San Paolo said:We are keeping hold of Dida till the end of his contract REGARLESS of whether he does or doesn't resign. When that time comes Cech will be back hence no place for Dida. Also Chelsea have a fantastic GK in Cudicini so again I don't see how/why this will happen.
They'll sell him in the last 6 months of his contract, although teams would just rather wait till july.BMWTaylor said:Call me crazy, but not only did Braida say he wouldn't be sold, I thought teams couldn't sell players anyway who aren't under contract.![]()
Galliani said that they would keep Dida till his contract expires. So either he resigns or he leaves on a Bosman ruling.Gila#11. said:They'll sell him in the last 6 months of his contract, although teams would just rather wait till july.
Since when has Galliani kept his word?San Paolo said:Galliani said that they would keep Dida till his contract expires. So either he resigns or he leaves on a Bosman ruling.
Keep thinking along those lines and looks like we will have not only Shevchenko's money to spend during the summerGila#11. said:Since when has Galliani kept his word?
Indeed, though if i'm thinkin correct...hasn't he just said he's happy at Milan..and at least he doesn't have a Madrid desperate wife.San Paolo said:Keep thinking along those lines and looks like we will have not only Shevchenko's money to spend during the summer![]()
Didn't Sheva say he wanted to end his career at Milan?Gila#11. said:Indeed, though if i'm thinkin correct...hasn't he just said he's happy at Milan..and at least he doesn't have a Madrid desperate wife.
Yea but Kaka hasn't said that he says he wants to stay. And that's why i belive him..Gourcuff has said he wants to become a Milan great..so is he gonna leave this season?San Paolo said:Didn't Sheva say he wanted to end his career at Milan?![]()
Of course. No one is foolish enough to buy players with 15 minutes left on their deal when they can scoop them up for free. I say sign him to a one-year deal while discussing an extension. At least there'll be temporary closure.Gila#11. said:They'll sell him in the last 6 months of his contract, although teams would just rather wait till july.
Beats me...funny thing is that folks were previously talking about Maldini in the Kaka thread.Mystik said:How did this end up being about Kaka..?
Won't Cech be back sometime in the near future, or is he done for the year? I haven't really heard anything recently.zZ[-_-]Zz said:just for discussion sake... what you gonna do if Dida actually snub Milan & sign for Chelsea? afterall you can't deny that Chelsea can pay him better wages & he would be first choice there till Cech recovers (if he ever does)... and he has higher gurantees of silverware each season...
