it is not confirmed that he will miss even the game against cagliari,so i guess it might be just a false alarm.
It's not a false alarm...they're waiting so they can evaluate his injury. He's pretty much day-to-day.

Either way, &$#%!@*!!!

Its quite sad that whenever Dida manages to return to some sort of form he has been injured this season. Quite unfortunate for us really as if he's not at top shape when he returns our season could collapse as this is a very important period.

Murphy's Law, I tell you. That's the same shoulder that was beaned by the flare as well. Maybe we should all pool our money together and buy him a new one.

MILAN, Italy (AP) - AC Milan goalkeeper Dida has a right shoulder injury and is likely to miss the first leg of the Champions League semifinals against Manchester United next week.

Dida was injured when he slammed against the post Sunday while making a save in Milan's 3-1 win at Messina in the Serie A. He continued playing and didn't start feeling pain until the team returned to Milan. Milan announced on its Web site that Dida requires two days of rest before further medical tests.

"We're worried," Milan doctor Jean Pierre Meersseman told Tuesday's Gazzetta dello Sport. "We want to get a better understanding of the situation but we can't yet because Dida's shoulder is swollen. On Thursday, if the swelling has gone down, we will carry out more tests."

Meersseman said that this type of injury usually requires 8-10 days off. "Naturally, the goal is Manchester, but there's not much hope," Meersseman said.

Milan plays at Manchester on April 24. The return leg is scheduled for May 2. Reserve goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac will start against Ascoli on Wednesday in the Serie A. (foxsoccer.com)

According to gazzetta.it, he kinked his shoulder after that save, but the pain didn't kick in until the morning after the Messina match, when he woke up and could barely move his shoulder. Jesus...

Man U is on the 24th. The eighth day would be the day after the match. Therefore, we're pretty much screwed.

Oh man, Milan Channel does not know how to pick music for a video.:head:

If push comes to shove, I do not want Nelson rushed back too soon. As much as I want to win CL, rushing Nelson back too soon would be disastorous. He could reaggravate his shoulder and miss the rest of the season, knocking us out of CL and 4th place competition.

Ah well... why am I not surprised ?

Anyway, Storari + Kalac aren't necessarily worse, since one never knows when Dida decides to fumble.....

I really hope that Dida will make it. He was really good against Bayern and I'm a bit scared when I think in my mind Ronaldo against Kalac...hopefully everything will turn ok.

BAD news. One injury after another, especially since we have played a few good games recently. Hope Dida and all other injured players (Gattuso & Nesta?) recover fast and well in time for the semi-finals.

Forza D1 !

Well, I doubt it.
Dida has to undergo some test and scans tomorrow and then we will know more.
How could the uefa know something the Milan docs don't know. :head:
Lets wait until tomorrow.
Hope you're right, but uefa.com didn't say it was certain. They usually don't make up stories though so there is a possibility that Dida won't make it. But like what Orez said, the occasion + a few pain-killer should do the trick, or at least I hope.

As you can see, no huge damage done. A lil burn stain .. big deal. That's what you get when parading around mindlessly inmidst some fireworks...

As for his latest injury, he will be back for the CL match. So I've just read... somewhere.

Nothing on acmilan.com yet. The team just may just wait until tomorrow to make a better analysis.
