Imagine Gattuso playing Libertadores. It would be a dream. I imagine him having a day like that one against Tottenham at the San Siro. Nervous performance on the pitch and nervous attitude off it. But it was in a Champions League match. In a Libertadores one, that could cause some serious shit

I'm gonna curse everyday that I didn't get that scholarship to Argentina if he goes to Boca. I'm already pretty pissed about it, that will just make it worse.

It's going to be very strange to see him playing with other shirt... But since it's going to happen anyway, it would be awesome in a crazy way to watch him in Argentina. Boca sounds like another planet also, far from Europe or any competition Milan is in.

Rino would certainly fit great in the atmosphere there. I bet he would have La Bombonera on his knees in a short time cause the stadium atmosphere would take the best of him... We know how he reacts when things get hot... He would live it every game.
Gattuso in Libertadores, acting as an enforcer for Riquelme... Now that sounds like total fantasy football.

I know it's all very unlikely, but if that's gonna happen I will totally watch him there. I've gone to Buenos Aires before for much weaker reasons. To watch Gattuso there is something I'm not gonna miss.

Also! For those of us who aren't at all religious, it's a Bible quote made famous by the movie Pulp Fiction. You should know this if your memory isn't bad, unless you have poor taste in films. :)

And if I'm allowed to reply to the same post three times... :)

Hitch was the fucking man! He should be everyone's avatar, even if you're religious. I have a muslim friend who's read nearly everything by Hitchens, articles and all. CH has a clarity of thought and a way with words that one has to admire.

Would he be a starter? Who is playing next to Riquelme atm?

The Novara game was his best game since the Scudetto season. He actually looked somewhat fit now. Give him 1-2 months of regular playing time and he'd probably get close to his Feb-May 2011 form.

I am dearly going to miss Gattuso, probably the worst departure for me of the ones leaving simply because he characterized this midfield with Pirlo for so long. During certain seasons they were the best midfield pairings I can remember and there couldn't be too many better throughout history. Absolutely loved watching this man in his prime. A true warrior and one who always gave everything he had to this team. Always a presence in the locker room and a great man, I will dearly miss you Rino.

I hope to see you back at Milan in the years to come.

God Bless Rino. :star:

Gennaro Gattuso’s agent has suggested Juventus sign him and fellow ex-Milan teammate Maxi Lopez. “It’d be a bargain.”

The Bianconeri built much of their Scudetto success on Andrea Pirlo, who was signed on a free transfer after 10 years at San Siro.

Now agent Andrea D’Amico has told ********** that Juve should continue along this path in future too.

“Could Gattuso join Pirlo at Juve? I haven’t spoken to them yet, but I can guarantee anyone who signs Gattuso will be getting a bargain.

“He has rediscovered exceptional fitness levels and in 23 years of my career I’ve never known a player with his ability to bring grit and determination to a squad.”

However, Gattuso stated this week that he will not play for another Italian club.

This isn’t the only Rossoneri man on the horizon, as ********** suggests Maxi Lopez is a valid alternative to Siena’s Mattia Destro.

Milan confirmed they will not take up their option to buy Maxi Lopez from Catania after his six-month loan spell.

Fiorentina and Lazio are also showing an interest in the Argentine striker

i hope doesn't do a Pirlo

Gattuso: 'Money not an issue for Rangers' :star:

Glasgow Rangers have confirmed they are in negotiations with Gennaro Gattuso, as the ex-Milan star notes “money is not an issue.”

The Scottish club has been placed under administration, but Gattuso wants to return to the place where his career really took off.

“I’m done in Italy, as I couldn’t wear another jersey after 13 years with Milan,” said the 34-year-old midfielder.

“Money is not an issue, so I can choose my future in a relaxed manner.”

There is another problem, though, as Rangers have been handed a one-year transfer ban by the Scottish FA.

“To me, it's a massive positive he wants to come,” Charles Green, whose consortium is set to buy Rangers, told the official club website.

“His agent came over and we explained the difficulties surrounding the club. Gattuso himself came out publicly and said he would love to join Rangers and, after the illustrious career he has had in Milan, that's great.

“It's an endorsement that the world's top players would still like to come and play for this club.”

It would also be a reunion for Gattuso, who played with manager Ally McCoist from 1997 to ’98.

“The SPL can't register any players because we are in administration and the SFA and the club have been in a very public dispute for some time.

“However, the manager has identified a number of people from a playing point of view he would be interested in.

“The manager actually played with Gattuso years ago when he was here at the club in the late 1990s.

“From my point of view as CEO, we've sat with Ally and arranged a budget with him and should we be allowed to sign players, he will be able to do so.”
