Cool, if the final games finish:

England 2 - 2 Slovenia
USA 0 - 0 Algeria

England/USA will be tied on all fronts, and the team to advance will be decided by a coin toss. :eek:

Would be better if they just had a golden goal USA vs England match.

I think it's decided by FIFA ranking.

Winning one WC beats hell out of winning CL 3,4 times.

I'll be honest, I'm intrigued as to what it would be like to live in a country that wins a World Cup, although it seems absurd to me that it's worth more than three or four Champions Leagues. For me, it's the absolute pinnacle. Nothing has ever matched the euphoria of seeing my team lift that trophy. I wonder what the prospect feels like for fans who've experienced neither.

I would bet the scores won´t be anywhere close. Slovenia won´t score two against England. We will play for a low scoring draw. As for USA - Algeria some goals should fall.

Anyway a coin toss is not fair. Italy won the Euro or WC that way once.
But better to go out on a coin toss then penalties ;)

Ask someone from Brazil. Ask the players... Maradona, Pele said it. A player must win WC to achieve greatnes. Rooney will never join the likes of them. If Messi does not win the WC no one will ever compare him to Maradona...

And for Slovenia believe it or not... getting to the WC is like winning it for Italy, England, Brazil, Germany. And I am not overreacting.

If two or more teams are equal on the basis of the above three criteria, tiebreakers are used as follows:

-greatest number of points obtained in the group matches between the teams concerned;

-goal difference resulting from the group matches between the teams concerned;

-greater number of goals scored in all group matches between the teams concerned;

-drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee. (i.e., determining team positions at random).

Jesus...can you imagine in the future if some tiny nation that's participating in it's first World Cup finishes level with Brazil, who then go through via a flip of a coin?

And how about toping a group that has England in it? ;)

I've experienced neither. (I'm not Italian so Milan isn't my 1st team) And as I said, I'd gladly watch my arch rivals win all trophies available, if it means I get to see my country participate in a single World Cup.

Seriously, something's wrong with the English mentality. You're so divided it's unreal. :tongue:

im guessing your zmalkawi?

Amazing :) But to be honest we already achived everything the country dreamed about and now we are overachieving. All of this that is happening is only a plus.

The view from the top is great and going to the next round would be just :proud: and even if not... it is enough that the world has talked about a tiny country that has a population of 2 milion.

ITV reported that a fan somehow managed to make his way through all of the security and confront the England players. Wonder what Rooney had to say...

Even though its Wiki:

For the World Cup tournament, FIFA uses the following criteria to rank teams in the Group Stage.

1. greatest number of points in all group matches;
2. goal difference in all group matches;
3. greatest number of goals scored in all group matches;
4. greatest number of points in matches between tied teams;
5. goal difference in matches between tied teams;
6. greatest number of goals scored in matches between tied teams;
7. drawing of lots by the FIFA Organising Committee.

Our neighbours Croatians did that in Euro 2008 qualifications and I hope our guys can repeat that on the WC. :)

Loving it that even Slovenija fans are bragging today :star:

England is an even bigger disgrace then France is.

I don't think that England is a bigger disgrace than France and yourself already gave the reason why France was worse: They have Domenech.

I think that the problem with the english team is that players don't have balls enough and Capello is not being capable to give it to them. Maybe because nationals teams don't spend much time with their managers. Nevertheless, he did way better than Eriksson.

One thing I don't understand is that accordingly to manutd fan, Capello asked Rooney to not be a mad man during the game. Rooney is the most badass player in the english team and Capello took his balls off.

I don't think it's a shame to lose for Serbia or draw with USA.

USA is one of the most tough teams in this WC. They would easily be the first of their group if they had better players.

Yugoslavia was always a good country at sports and Serbia was part of it. Serbia is obviously smaller than Yugoslavia but far from be useless.

Capello: No team that I know The coach hopes the race with Slovenia

Capello: No team that I know The coach hopes the race with Slovenia

C_27_articolo_34503_GroupArticolo_immagineprincipale.jpg

"This is not the same team that I know. " Fabio Capello is the first to be surprised by the poor performance of 'England, which has not gone beyond a 0-0 draw against the 'Algeria and could leave the World Cup. "We still have to play a game - says the coach of the Three Lions, looking to the challenge with Slovenia - and hopefully it will be more fortunate. I do not know if it was the pressure or if we are not a good time, but we lost too many balls" .

Capello does not want to point the finger at anyone, "I do not like talking about individuals - explains - when not playing well is because of the whole team. Can I change my tactics, I'll try 'something different, not difficult to motivate them before the race with Slovenia. They know what to do. "

Rooney, on edge SKIN
Wayne Rooney nervous after the game between England and Algeria. The Manchester United striker, leaving the field, facing a camera says: "Good to see your fans ... you whistle. "

Gerrard: "BAD MATCH"
Steven Gerrard is not seeking excuses after bad draw against Algeria: "For us there are no excuses. Certainly there was pressure, but when you play at this level, must know how to manage. There are no excuses. We were good enough, or aggressive. Now we have to understand, "said the captain.
