A few pages back on this thread there's a clip from Milam Channel where Nigel started running so he'd be building up a good fitness base by now for sure.

@Inzaghi,I think Nigel would of only played the CL if we got that far, but I could be mistaken.

Wasn't he due to play last few games of the season?

I think that was said in the first judgement as the date he could be back first. Went more, hopefully was a safe process.

At some point this Summer, De Jong will be described as a 'new signing' by :g:

Hope he will be ready for the playoff of Champions League, considering that this year he will have time to play all the friendlies, we should have better understanding between players.

Any news about his fitness/injury?
I thought he was supposed to be fit a few weeks ago.

That seems like our best midfield at the mo' if you go with the 4-3-1-2, but I rather don't go with that formation, and play 4-2-3-1.

Well, I wouldn't go that far, but it's a nice duo, and they already have experience playing that duo, and did well. Them plus sticking with our current defense (De Sciglio over Constant who should be backup and thus rotate), should be solid.

playing a 2-3-1 could make our team look disoriented

Forza NIGEL 20/06/2013

The sun is high and hot, but a proud Dutch champion missing from the fields of December 9 does not mind. Here De Jong today at Milanello.

MILAN - Milanello summer wears well. It 'been so for our National Under-21 after the withdrawal in the Centro Sportivo AC Milan reached the European Championship Final in Israel.

Hope we can be so also for Nigel De Jong who has posted on his twitter profile picture of his training at Milanello today. De Jong's, De Jong wants. His is the determination of a professional over time.

On July 8, is not far away and Nigel wants to get timely appointment. recall that last December 9, 2012, during the Turin-Milan, Nigel De Jong had ruptured under the skin of the left Achilles tendon.

Same Nigel was was then operated on December 11, 2012 in Benalmandena, near Malaga, at the hospital Xanit by Professor Sakari Orava, the presence of the AC Milan team doctor, Stefano Mazzoni.

It may be blazing hot in Milan this week but Nigel De Jong is hard at work at Milanello in order to recover from his achilles tendon rupture as soon as possible.

MILAN - This summer Milanello seems to be a bit of a lucky charm. It certainly proved that way for the Italy Under21s who trained at Milan's high tech sports centre before their European championships in Israel. Let's hope is will also be lucky for Nigel De Jong who published a photo of one of his training sessions at Milanello on Twitter.

The Dutch midfielder is slowly making his way back from a ruptured achilles heel and the aim is to be ready for when the rest of the squad returns from holidays on July 8th.

His injury took place on December 9th 2012 during the match against Torino in Turin. He underwent surgery on December 11th in Xanit Hospital near Malaga under the watchful eye of the rossonero head doctor, Stefano Mazzoni.
