On the contrary, in fact Zlatan has scored, assisted or won penalties with Milan against all the big European teams that have tried to attack us: Barca, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Inter, Napoli. The only big teams he's been unsuccessful against are those who sat back and parked the bus, like Tottenham and Inter (the last match).

He's scored, won penalties and assisted by some great fast counter attacks and by winning back possession (something he's been really good at, just see the last Arsenal match)

Some older examples:

I never disputed Ibrahimovic's ability. I'm judging Milan's style with and without Ibrahimovic. A perfect example is the Milan derby last season where we beat Intermerda 3-0.

Ibrahimovic playing within the starting XI hinders Milan in the pressing sense. Ibrahimovic isn't the type of player who is going to constantly charge at the opposition and force them to play that extra pass or close down attacking spaces. Another aspect of Milan's game which suffers is its ability to counterattack at pace. Ibrahimovic slows up play, which enables the opposition defense to re-position itself. There is no questioning Ibrahimovic's ability; however, playing against the big European teams Milan's this style is not quite as effective. Teams need to exploit space by increasing the passing and pressing tempo of a match. Smaller clubs will undoubtedly sit back and this works in Ibrahimovic's favour; though, when doing it against bigger teams, they are apt enough to deal with the situation and defend it to a better degree.

Milan's play is much more fluid without Ibrahimovic and there is a lot of movement.

Anyway, goals scored against Juventus

Ibra: 1
Mesbah: 2

I trust him against Barca though. They'll give him space, Puyol and the motivation to make runs when we get counterattack opportunities, instead of the usual standing still to get the ball(usually from a running Urby) and then hit a throughball to make someone else make the run even though he's the furthest Milan player up the pitch.

Problem with the internet is suddenly everyone got space to talk. Z should be a mod in here. He´d tell the none thinking, none analysing, yet impressively vocal minority to be quiet and that´d be that.

No wait, Z should mod the internet. He´d tell them to go cook. And they would go cook.

In the derby Pato poached a goal from a failed clearance in the box under a minute into play, the early goal combined with Leonardo's extremely offensive tactics resulted in a very open match: Van Bommel hit the crossbar, Robinho missed twice alone with the gk, Pazzini and Eto'o also missed an open goal each. A couple of minutes into the second half Chivu was expelled, we played against 10 men and finally we scored a second goal when Abate's (self proclaimed) shot on goal happend to land on Pato's head when he was in front of an open goal, Pato put it in nicely and Abate got his only assist last season :) In the final minutes Cassano won and scored a penalty. Outside of Pato's poaching we lacked concreteness to put away our chances and were lucky Inter misses some sitters as well.

Since how any match unfolds or how the team plays (style) is a combination of our own tactic as well as the tactic of the team we play against you can't really pick a single match like that as a stylistic measurement, because how do you then explain the different style the week before when we lost against Palermo without Zlatan?

Just like I could use the first Arsenal match as an example of how fluid our attack is with Zlatan and you can counter with how the attack looked in the second leg against Arsenal, because even comparing two matches in a short time periode between the same teams you can se how much of a difference especially tactics but also mentality, home/away advantage etc. can make to how a teams style looks.

(gang wars in Malmö? Lasermannen v2 at Malmö?)

There's been a lot of violence and shootings in Malmö the last couple of years. Last year they arrested a serial killer who shot 3-4 to death and wounded a dozen others. Besides him there seems to be new shootings and killings every other week. Much of it gang related.

malmö is a real shit hole, kind of like stockholm.

Watch it fuckface.

We beautiful people of Stockholm find it annoying that we have to move our clocks back when we travel to Göteborg. 2 years.
But that's not the main reason we never go there. You people smell of fish (and not in a good way).

Göteborg has many names. It's a very dark, gloomy and depressing place. It hasn't rained there since 1997, yet it's very moist. Most Göteborgare suffer from severe angst. Ten percent of them are hunchbacks. Thirty percent closely related to each other. But that's not the worst. The worst is the smell. Dead fish.

But MB is nice. I plan on saving him.

Have you noticed that the "hair" is a perfect fit for Zlatan and SES.

El Shaarawy:

“I’m happy with my season at Milan, even if more goals would make me happier, I’m having many opportunities to play and now I’m settled.

"And I love playing with [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic, although he's a very demanding champion."

Stekelenburg lauds Ibrahimovic

Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg has heaped praise on Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of his team's clash with AC Milan.

The Netherlands international, whose side travel to the San Siro to take on the Serie A leaders on Saturday, believes the former Barcelona striker is one of the best players in the world.

Stekelenburg, 29, also disagreed with criticism Ibrahimovic often failed to shine in European competitions.

"Ibrahimovic is a very strong player who always scores plenty of goals. He has won league titles with several big clubs and I think he is one of the best players in the world," Stekelenburg told Corriere dello Sport on Friday.

"I disagree with those who say that he is decisive in the league, but not in Europe. I don't know why people would say that. I would always want Zlatan in my team."

Interview from the latest official UEFA Champions League magazine.
It's a couple of months old, but I think only pieces of it have been posted before.

"You win trophies because you play with champions - your team-mates make you win the trophies, it's not an individual thing. It's a team thing. For me, my aim was always to be as complete a player as possible. And I have reached that goal, I know what I can do, and I am willing to sacrifice everything to do it. But when it comes to trophies, you win because you play with champions. You don't win because you're number one, but because your team are number one."

Beautiful. This was what Ibra told SES when they sat on that cliff, looking at the sunset.

I need to get a copy of that magazine but that sidebar about his best goals - I absolutely love that Ajax goal:

At 0:40, is Van der Vaart, in the stands, looking as grim as possible after that goal :lol::lol:
