I was just wondering today... Why nobody have applied yet the principles of Feng Shui to tatical formations?
I think all this talk about balance, cohesiviness, compactness is just too occidental, industrial and rational for my taste. We are coming to the age of aquarium and so football needs more oriental knowledge and milenar philosophy in it.
Instead of draw formations looking for the best ways to defend or attack, that belligerent way to see the things, we should try to positionate players in a way that allow the energies to flow more freely in the field, in equilibrium with the cosmos, and also try to find the players that bring a more positive qi to the field. I feel like our team is somehow attracting too much negative energy lately.
BTW, lets just remember our last succesfull formation, Ancelotti's christmas three in 2007:

It was a very succesful team because the piramid is a milenar and traditional symbol of harmony, and an excelent way to canalize energy to the TOP of it (who happens to be the goal - oh good ol' Carlo).
Just like this Feng Shui fontain in Taiwan:

Also, look who is at the top of the piramid (just like the ball in the fountain in Taiwan), receiving the positivei qi: yep... Pippo Inzaghi - a player who happens to be our hero and is widely recognized as a shining player.
And look who is at the center (a place essential to keep the equilibrium of energies) - Pirlo. Not to mention a player like Kaká, who certainly attracted lots of positive energies to the field.
PS. Yeah, I'm bored at home and I have a lot of free time today.
i agree except for the statement in bold...that is just terrible english.
