If the offer was decent and we could get a replacement, sure.

If you're not going to spend, and you're running a loss. Need to get creative, ie sell and buy.

Should've signed him to a longer contract tbh :D

Ofcourse that's easy to say now when all is said and done. But goes to show that things not always are as straightforward as they seem.

Clearly

It's not like we didn't have to deal with his crap form for all these years or anything

Crap form? Don't mistake Ashish posting 'Pirlo sucks' ten times a day with crap form. Pirlo plays the same way each and every game, which is the way he's asked to play. Sure some systems fit him better than others, but he's not really a 'form' type of player. He's more a player that very sensitive to the team setup.

Yes crap form

Just because he didn't have the system he preferred around him, doesn't excuse it

Kudos to the dude for finding his form back at Juve but fuck him for waltzing through his time here and lacking any motivation

Seedorf pirlo zambrotta pippo ronaldinho Ronaldo favalli oddo sheva senderrors defied to an extent ambrosini gattuso. Its some what very simple. Old and has been players take the biggest part of the problem. Anyone who still pirlo wasn't cock block at Milan is delusional. He adds value to another system with his ass on fire is different. Milan is full of scam artists. ,clubs loyalty towards them far exceeds their commitment. Cafu stam mvb even becks had more value and dignity. I understand they gave a lot to this club but they took unfair advantage. Nesta stands alone as a true senatore. A true lion.. heads need to roll, inmates are running the prison. Time to shaft them. Tear contacts and slap for extensions.

For example, sell Taiwo and Urby at 6M each and sign Kolarov or Criscito.
Save the 6M on Aqua and add 6M to sign Eriksen.
Save the 8M on Maxi, sell Robinho for 15M, add 2M and buy Jovetic.

 I'm more on the boat for keeping Robinho though, but IF the 15m is used for Jovetic then I say big YES. Boateng to RCM, and Jovetic can very well play the AM position in my opinion.

---------Montolivo--------
--Boateng-------Muntari(We wont sign both AM and LM imo, 1 or the other)
-----------Jovetic(El92)--------
---Cassano(Pato)---Ibra--------

If pato is sold (keep, it would be crushing to see him turn to Messi like Messi did), then bring in Tevez. If Tevez not possible, then stick with Maxi and get a worldclass LM. We can survive with Cassano, El-Sha, Maxi, Ibra upfront. I think if Pato doesn't prove himself next season, he will be out for sure. Let's hope he turns out alright after this mess.

But even in getting these cheap solutions... their wages end up higher which run is into deficit.

...

Galliani drives me insane w/ wages. Flamini is a prime example. Could have been sold 2 years ago for 10 mil. We could have bought a better fit replacement for the money, and had a player on 1/3 the wage

Agreed. Of course. Economic theory tells us that (as long as there is competition for a player), he'll be no cheaper on a free transfer. His club fee might be free, but competing clubs will make up the difference through higher wages.

oh really? Speculation, speculation... if we could've done that we probably would have. It's like all the speculation that we could've signed 5 different top talents if only this and that player would've left, we really have no clue what's going on.

I do agree on Zambrotta though, that was bad buisness. Obviously free players/older players are gonna demand more wages, and in the last 5 years this has been terrible, terrible bussiness for us. But don't forget that there's a time, not so long ago, when this kind of approach made us top Europe... so it's really not so black and white as you make it seem.

By the same logic, one could argue that you're wrong for agreeing about Zambrotta. If we could have done better business there, "we probably would have". So, we're either all speculating about EVERYTHING, or we're trying to make educated guesses. You can only pick one ;)

I agree with S84. We've done some shrewd business in the past couple years. We've also done some not-so-smart businesses. Before that, we did some TERRIBLE business.

Exactly, all we can do is make an educated guess, and that's what I'm doing. As I said earlier Flamini's wages would've put him up as or among the two clubs top earners, which would make things very complicated. Furthermore I don't remember anything but the odd rumour, certainly not anything concrete like an official from any club commenting on it or anything, so that's why I don't think there's anything to it.

And the Zambrotta thing is seen in retrospective ofcourse, I don't expect Galliani to be able to see the future, all though it would be nice.

in terms of guardiola, he wont come here without a commitment from berlusconi to invest in the team. he wont set himself up to fail and milan and spending don't go hand and hand at the moment. so B will have to make sacrifices. even with or without guardiola, if we fail to buy world class players we aren't going anywhere.

The difference between good business and bad business is night and day. There are MANY clubs that are run very poorly that do well, because money keeps getting thrown at them (Real Madrid, Chelsea, NY Yankees, LA Lakers, City, etc.) and there are teams that are successful by doing smart business (Tampa Bay Rays, Arsenal, Spurs, Dortmund, etc.). A lot of the latter teams haven't had the necessary capital to move forward, so it is partially a moot point.

However, consider this. Our EXCESS wages are more than most teams ENTIRE wage bill. It is the nepotism and inability to run a business properly that have hamstrung the club. There are no rings on players' fingers, so there should have been changes.

Senatore brought up many players. Flamini could have been sold for EUR 1 M and it would have been a good deal, and plenty of clubs would have taken that. When it becomes obvious that something is broken, a SMART fix is necessary.

What I have really seen lacking from this club for a very, very long time is a clear vision. What are we? If we're an Allegri coached team, for the love of god, buy players that fit his system so that we can win with him. If it's not going to be an Allegri coached team, then fire him and buy players that fit the style of the new manager. I'm just so bloody sick of our club being run by inept fools. The management of this team has some SERIOUS flaws. I will admit that they have done AMAZING things for this club, but that's the past. Unless I see some changes, I seriously worry about the future.

granqvist.jpg

If Genoa go down, Granqvist is a Milan player.

"Braida really likes how Granqvist plays, without fear or respect for anyone. He also has a good touch and a head, at the same time he's big and strong." says a Milan source.
"It's easy doing business with President Preziosi. If Genoa fall down to Serie B, Granqvist is ours."
Also Galliani noted that Granqvist was tough and had a good game against Ibra.
Genoa's press chief Pisano: "Granqvist is our best transfer and our best player this season, no question about it."

i liked him yesterday. Gave Ibra a battle to fight. Strong in the air, fast, could read read the game a little better though, but nesta can teach him. He reminds me a bit of Pique only faster. Wouldnt mind getting this guy, but what about Acerbi? seems like we're only buying defenders

He's still in progress. Another good thing is that he can play both central and to the right. He's a good header too, something we need for our lousy corners.

I'm not finished yet! Ex-England boss Capello wants crack at Premier League
Fabio Capello hopes to land a job in the Barclays Premier League and insists he has no intention of retiring.

London calling: Fabio Capello wants a job in the capital
With possible vacancies at Chelsea and Tottenham at the end of the season, the Italian told reporters that he was in love with London.

article-2135398-0E43783000000578-183_468x286.jpg

AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi was reportedly hoping to take Capello back to the San Siro in a director of football role, but the 65-year-old dismissively suggested the 'slow' job would be like managing England again.

'I would like to be on the pitch every day,' he said. 'The director role is too slow for me. The desk doesn't suit me. I was a director for four years when I managed England.'

Despite previously saying the England job would be his last, Capello has made it clear he wants to return to coaching.

He walked out on the England job in February over the John Terry captaincy row and is believed to have received offers from China, the Middle East and Russia.

Looking for work: Ex-England boss Capello wants to return to management
'I want to be a coach for another two years,' he said.

'I love London. I'd prefer to coach in the Premier League. I would only return to Italy for something really tasty.

Maybe eriksen instead of Jo-jo (Fuck i'd get them both but eriksen would be cheaper i think) to have money to sign strootman (this shouldnt be that hard with van bommel helping us)

----------Eriksen-----------
----Cassano-------Ibra-----

Plus Acerbi and Traore would be awsome :o
Selling Binho and not buying Aqua plus not giving new contracts to senatores.
I would actually buy aquilani but its not likely

Yeah right :g:

Nesta has to stay no matter what. Thiago Silva has much to thank nesta for. When he came to milan he was a bit shaky. I remember him making some wrong but vital passses which made the opponent score, now he defends like he was born to, and thats thanks to Nesta, he said that himself lots of times in interviews. I think Nesta has to stay, it gives the newbie signings (centerbacks) an example, they can learn alot from nesta.

I forgot to mention that CSKA have accepted the offer :D

The two clubs are just resuming a failed deal of January so he will surely be joining Lazio.

Also, your trolling skills are pretty poor :D
