New name for the attack of Milan: Galliani in the past few hours has formalized a bid for the gem Tanzanian Mbwana Aly Samatta , born in 1992 under the Mazembe, the Congolese club known for having played in the 2010 World Cup final against Club with ' Inter Milan. € 1 million to the proposal Rossoneri, dryly returned to the sender by the patron African Chapwe not willing to do so from these figures.

On a positive note at least there have been some players depart and players looking likely to depart.hopefully the trend continues and hopefully we make some sound player swaps if we can't get cash.

We've acted fairly fast in the departure areas and we just need to start securing some players of value. I still think iturbe for 28-30 million is alot especially with the need to reinforce elsewhere . Hopefully we lock in rami soon and I'm hoping for a big move not money wise necessarily but ability wise. With the way we've so called fought for iturbe perhaps the money is there for one big purchase.

I really hope Milan doesn't base decisions on such analytics.

Necro, advanced analytics should be done in conjunction with traditional scouting. I can all but guarantee you that clubs like Porto, Udinese, and the like have advanced data behind them as well as great eyeball scouts. The job of scouting is to increase the probability of success and decrease the probability of failure, so having every tool available should be paramount.

Neither analytics nor eyeball scouting are guaranteed measures of success. They are complementary tools that should make the club better, so yes, I really hope Milan is using every available tool and its disposal.

Whats with all this loan business? Can't we just sell them for small amounts and put the money together? sell the players to EPL/Turkey/Russia anywhere for 2-3 million ofr. I believe we can get 3 million for a player like Birsa and other fodder like him

Galliani is really inept

Players refuse to leave a club like Milan. Its a downgrade for them. For some it matters more than regular play time.

if you follow a players normal development trajectory, you will notice that most of them peak between 25-28 years of age. Iturbe is 21, is looking promising and is far from the final product. Cerci who is 26 is quite good but chances are that he is pretty close to the final product - only thing missing is playing for a big club.

I have seen both of them play, and they are both pretty good. I'd be happy with either but I prefer Iturbe.

Its not about peaking. After 25 years of age, a player has decent to good top flight experience ( considering he is a player of top flight quality at age 21 )
This added experience matures them as player and person, along with being in the most ideal physical shape. With good form at 26, we consider players to peak.

But its a very qualitative matter. Some players show great skill and confidence in their youth but over time that flair fades as they learn to play with a team since in youth level most promising players are the sole stars of their team which they carry forward in competitions. As one starts playing regularly in a team they learn to develop all round which in most cases takes away a certain edge that made them promising.

That is the average scenario for any players.

Exceptions and super stars are the ones who grow on all fronts and leave nothing behind. Ex. C. Ronaldo was a dribbling, skill-showing nut head who matured into a more attacking player.

A 21 year old who had 25+ goals in a season might earn himself a spot on an A-list squad. By 26, most of these players turn into 15+ goal scorers. They lose some aspect of their flair and gain a little more team-oriented style of play.

Signing 21 year olds for crazy sums is just like trading in futures. High risk, high gain.

We should freeze them out of the team like Chelsea/Malouda. That'll make them leave.

Of course, I agree with this.

I dont recall us having frozen out a player in the recent seasons. Milan just doesnt treat players like that.

Our management might be full ****** when it comes to progress. But we really treat our champions like family. This is why people LOVE playing at Milan. Even if they dont play as much.

Ibrahimovich has bitched about all clubs he has been to. He only bitched about Galliani when he left. Else he tells everyone how much he loved being at Milan.

Stop lying. We all know you're afraid of numbers.

And old. One has to reach a certain age to understand the importance of instinct over numbers. Silvio knows.

Luciano Moggi: "I think it's unlikely that Iturbe will join Juventus. Verona want much money and it's difficult."

If Marrotta came in and got rid of the fodder as G has been doing so far, you'd all be worshipping at his feet.

The Juventus exodus didn't happen overnight.

We've had fodder since 2007... G has been making mistake after mistake for 7 years...

Juve went down in '06... Got back in a year ... And within 3 years were back on top. And never did they have a bloated squad size not did they ever really have our wage bill.. So not sure what you're saying..

Moggi says Iturbe to Juventus unlikely, and they will land Morata instead.

(if those quotes from ********** are true... it's a Juve paper)

I also don't buy iturbe to juve. It's classic juve to miss first target on a few mil.

see aguero
see dzeko

see every name.

But i also dont buy milan for iturbe. Surely a non-itlian club will make a better offer with cash upfront and no crates of bananas

So in other words, you don't think they will fall for G's free loan w option to buy for 25 million spaces out over 12.5 years,
With 14 crates of bananas plus premium membership to Bunga Bunga parties (premium membership gets you girls below 17)

No one really does all cash upfront (maybe that's not what you mean) anymore.

But also, yeah, I don't think anyone has any idea of what is going on between Juventus, Verona, Milan, and Iturbe.

-I sincerely doubt we would pay 28M for a 21 year old player that Berlusconi has never heard of.

-I love that Milan supposedly just outbid Verona by 5M after Juve offered 23M, that would be such classic Galliani idiocy but I doubt there is any truth tot hat

-Milan meeting with Verona/Sogliano on Wednesday (#MRnews)... Any indication that this happened? Sure doesn't seem like it did.

-Juventus increasing their bid to 24 or so when Milan supposedly bid 28M.

-Juventus now questioning whether Milan is even bidding. I think that's when you begin to understand that this is all bull shit.
