What happens to most managers. Their cycle ends. It’s that simple.

Mourinho one of the best managers, what happened to him in Madrid’s last season or Chelsea in 2015/16. He lost the locker room.

Every coach has a cycle and it ends. Management did not back Pioli with the players he wanted and Pioli is not good enough to adapt with the squad he has like let’s say Ancelotti.

The Scudetto made him cocky, arrogant and stubborn. Thinking he knows it all or can’t admit to a mistake he made. Like Diaz/CDK at CAM. Not playing Adli and many other magnitude of mistakes he’s made this season.

Some coaches can last very long like Ancelotti did at Milan or Sir Alex did at United and stuff, but not every coach is capable of that.

It’s up to the management to realise this and make the right call. Unless we somehow win CL, there is really no reason to keep Pioli. For me he’s 99% out in my eyes unless that 1% miracle happens and I only think that because I believe firing a coach after winning CL is insanity regardless of the situation.

With that said, if he doesn’t win CL, we end up outside top 4 and management keeps him, then I will not blame Pioli for our failures next season but the management or the owners for being stingy.

Both are equally important everyone of us wants more Serie A titles that is a given amongst everyone of us. However do not dismiss this or future Champions League opportunities. And this is an opportunity Milan need to take with everything they have.

Milan throughout their history and coaches should already have ️️ if not more it bothers me that juve have more. Milan should also have more Champions League titles but over the years this conversation has been had several times.

There shouldn’t be such a gap between Milan and Madrid in terms of CL wins. With MMM Milan can amend this imbalance. This season has not been what it could have been but there is the Champions League and a very slim chance of the top four.

Let’s see where the next few games put Milan or more to the point where they place themselves because it is still in their hands.

I still have full faith in Maldini. He definitely deserves another season. His transfer mercato in his 2 seasons were absolutely genius. He’s gotten many gems and I firmly if he has more money he’ll deliver. I have faith in his project and his presence alone has so much pull. That Leao renewal once confirmed will be his best achievement as a director yet, that’s a masterclass deal. He’s a huge legend for us as a player and as a director he’s done really well of all things considered.

Of course he’s made some crucial mistakes but I think it’s fair to give him another reason to redeem this questionable season. It’s only fair to him.

You could argue the same with Pioli and I would have agreed if Pioli at least had us in a stable top 4 position and didn’t misuse the squad or sticked with the same tactics all over again.

CL is more important than the league so for long we are stable in top 4 in the league, Ancelotti was save in the league in 2007 so in that period it made total sense to priories CL for example, but with Pioli, it’s a different scenario because we aren’t in top 4.

Imo, Not lucky charm, he kept things straight.
I believe his presence, the fact that he was always vocal about what football we want, kept Pioli on that line. He know Gazidis would sack him if he deviates.
With Maldini, Pioli has freedom to implement his own football “ideas”, which is quite disgusting.

Even Maldini, I have my suspicions. he’s done great so far…but i don’t think he’ll get the OK, to spend the bulk of the budget on CDK, a player who doesn’t fit anywhere in the way we play.
With Gazidis, loan + option would be the most he could do…and as much as people cry about it “we’re so poor”, maybe it’s a great thing.

Maldini is human people are never error free. Considering the budget MMM have done remarkably well. Granted some of those transfers have failed others require more time to show their potential.

I put greater responsibility on Pioli for this season’s set backs as he has had options he has simply refused to explore. He could have utilised the players at his disposal to greater effect but has not. Some have been failed signings, some have been misused and others have not been given enough opportunity to prove their value.

As I said earlier let’s see where Milan place themselves in the next few games. It may be a successful but disappointing season, disappointing because it should have been more than it has been.
