The real reason @Congo Powers is lifelong with RnB is because no other forum in the world would accept his shit

Of course...he had a very good season at Torino so there would've been plenty of midtable suitors for a promising young Italian mid for c.15m. Also, we could've just used Adli/Vranckx instead and there's plenty of ways around the homegrown list as we've discussed many times before.

An opportunity missed.

They couldn't even register Adli in the CL list. What are you talking about? And in Serie A, Pioli didn't even trust Adli or Vranckx. He preferred Pobega. There is no way around the lists.

In CL you are allowed only 17 players that are not Serie A developed. You can register another 8 Serie A developed players, out of which 4 have to be Milan trained. There is no "way" around turning that 17 into 18.

In serie A, 21 aged and under players are unlimited, so they could register Adli. Also they could register another under 21 foreigner in Serie A but not in the CL.

Basically selling Pobega would mean registering an u-21 player or Primavera player in Serie A and only the option of a Primavera player in CL.

It's easy to talk BS about what the SD should have done, but first at least get the rules and regulations right!

Suma says up until last summer the Milan purchases were made as a collective

Once Maldini got the autonomy he wanted he went at it alone which shows in the last market

Kinda gross that the club is shitting on Maldini but they clearly want a certain message out

I’d like to see Milan host an NFL combine type event for all of Moncada’s prospects this summer. You get everyone together and measure them, check their 40s, shuffle, verts, and of course how many times they can bench press 225 (0 because soccer players are pussies)

Honestly, it all checks out, bruh.

Pioli didn’t like these boys Maldini gave him not one bit.

Except my belief is he secretly adores Adli and will now unleash him on Europe.

What's your vibe, man? I'm a mess.
I mean when it happened, I was about to enter a meeting, and, suffice to say, that was quite the blow before a meeting.

I adore Maldini, so much so that I was willing to ride the SD learning curve as long as minimum standards were met (top 4). When I met Maldini almost 10 years ago, I was legit starstruck. It was almost disgraceful. Like a teenage girl at a One Direction concert (a decade ago this analogy worked better). I barely slept a wink Monday, a bit better Tuesday…

But I am trying to be pragmatic about it. Something was fundamentally broken and Maldini’s public “criticism” of ownership was a telling sign. If there is consistency, a desire to keep our core untouched unless faced with obscene offers, I can live with that.

I also try to dilate my perspective a bit. Since the sale, Elliott, Ibra, Maldini, Pioli have all played a part to get us back to being a consistent top 4 team. We even won a Scudetto ahead of schedule. Can anyone put their hand on their heart and say things aren’t better than 2016? Maldini’s time seemed at an end. From 2018 until now, I have really savoured having him on board. But he won’t compromise, and he won’t take a symbolic role. That’s fine. That’s why we like him.

We just have to move on and secure our targets and play football that unlocks stubborn, defensive teams next year. If we do that, we are de facto in the Scudetto conversation. Losing Maldini will hurt less every day.

I give you 104 seconds of sage advice from one of my favourite movies:

Honestly I revert anything bad I said about CDK, if the coach doesn’t want you I don’t think it matters much what you do and that’s a big demotivation right there, especially if you’re young in a new league and don’t have Ibra level confidence from one side he was getting beefed up on arrival by the media and fans but probably was getting a different treatment from Pioli, Maldini and Pioli playing tug and pull and he’s in the middle, thats an immense pressure.
Adli is in the same boat but didn’t play much, strangely enough Adli seems to be mentally taking it better than CDK.

I’m shamefully excited to see the new squad in action, I’m sorry Paolo :(

It seems like we are going to turnover a big part of the squad’s weak underbelly giving Pioli hopefully better rotation options next season. N’Dicka, Kamada, Thuram would really go a long way toward that end.
Something I think we will get back to and the one big plus is focusing on player profiles. I think this is one thing Maldini moved away from slightly, an example would be moving the budget from botman to CDK who aren’t similar.

We used to find a list of similar players, set limits and move on if a club wouldn’t budge. How many defenders did we miss on before landing Tomori? I think Moncada will go back to that. If we don’t get Thuram or whoever, I think at least a similar player will come.

Which means if these are the guys they want, athletic whatever, we can expect the team to be faster and stronger next season. I hope.

Yeah after the dirty laundry has been aired

A very confusing season is starting to make sense

As a pioneer of Pioliout I'm starting to have some sympathy if this was truly the case and BELIEVE ME, I really do HATE myself for it

Torino wanted to buy him but we wanted to give him a chance. Sentimental decision.. he’s never gonna make it at milan just doesn’t have the technical quality..
Pobega was for the UCL list more than anything.
We don't have 4 starting quality Italian trained and 4 starting quality Milan-trained players.

He was there that ticked all the boxes and an extra body, just in case anything happened to Sandro or Ismael.

At the end of the day, we are only allowed to bring in 17 foreigners into the UCL squad. If Kamada, Thuram, N'Dicka or whoever comes in, someone else gets kicked off the list.

In other news in 2010 Maldini was the one that persuaded Galliani to sign Constant.

Lol Pobega played just 153 mins in the CL...big fucking deal!

Anyway, a smart person would've just cashed in for 15m last summer (strike whilst the irons hot) instead of giving him a full season to prove he's NOT Milan quality.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if RedBird decide to sell him this summer as he's on the fringes of the first team and would register a 100% capital gain. It's very tempting and then you'll see how they navigate around those stupid lists.

Well i'm sure that if CDK scored 2 goals every game Pioli would have liked him. The real problem with CDK started after Milan 4 1 Monza, he missed an easy goal and then he didn't celebrate on the field with the Curva, rumors started he was totally demotivated and he disappeared for 3 games, he came back against Cremonese, shit game 0 0 and he was one of the reasons we sucked so bad, then he did not play against Fiorentina and then world cup break, after the world cup we collapsed and he did nothing to help himself
