Longo - Colombo must accept Torino and a permanent transfer: evaluations and discussions in progress. Fundamental element in the negotiation between Milan and Cairo for Buongiorno

but pioli won the scudetto with a young squad after being 2 years in charge?

I think it was a beautiful combination of a generally young squad with some experienced leaders (Zlatan, Kjaer, Giroud, Florenzi) which is why I would be very hesitant to lose them all this summer

we don't have the issue of an aging squad so keeping a few senatori around feels important for balance

I wonder why any club would accept Colombo as a substitute for money, that guy is mediocre as fuck. Even below mediocre actually. :o

I'm not saying he's not a player who could be solid for some bottom clubs, but I don't see why a tough negotiator like Cairo would agree to this. Especially when we are talking about losing a starter and a very talented player like Alessio.

I guess because physical strikers go for big sums at the moment. When they see Hojlund go for 80m, I wouldn't be surprised if they get ideas.

We thought Petagna was shit also and he ended up having a decent career

Maybe he sees Colombo as a similar level player

Also maybe he’s learned from the Belotti/Tonali sales to not hold players against their wishes

Having a left footed CB is going to elevate Theo to the next level. People should be excited about this signing

Out for a walk.
It's honestly been a bit shocking how thoroughly Pioli has thrashed Mourinho. If we think Pioli is washed, what the hell does that make Mourinho?

Also, it seems unlikely now that Mou is fired, but his icing out of Pellegrini this season has been just bizarre. As he showed against us, he'd be a phenomenal pick up if he's available (which I doubt he is).

Well let's hope so, I really want to have a talented Italian in defense as a starter. So bellissimo. :b:

But I am quite skeptical about this deal and under these circumstances, at least for January.

People in here are SO dismissive of our products, if we don't value them how on earth do we sell them... And we're good at selling now remember.

Colombo should see us collect around 10 million as he's a developed player, not fully developed, but he's got some experience, some goals, and some room to grow.

He's not Ibra, but we're not looking to sell to Barca or PSG, we're talking about Torino.

He’s at Cagliari. And previously at Monza.

Colombo is already on track for the same career

If I was playing a a pickup game and Calabria showed up wearing a mask, I genuinely don’t think I’d be like “damn that guy is good”

I think Colombo has a lot of talent strong forward with a lethal shot. But he is a pure striker and doesn't offer more than that. We will see in the end. I am noticing tho that strikers these days seem to peak later in their careers

No one will ever know whether Adli could have stepped up last season as he has this season, so it's water under the bridge at this point in time. He's played well for the most part with the minutes he's been given this season. Hurray! No one has to be at fault - just give credit where credit is due, which I think should be placed at both Adli and Pioli's feet. It takes two to tango, and the dance is beautiful right now. Just let it be, because for every Adli, there's also a Vranckx, Dest, whomever.
I would even say that Pioli have perfectly groomed a youngster & unleached him at the right moment.
There is no stopping this man.
Only way is to fire him & only then he can be stopped.

You know my thoughts from the summer, I've been consistent since in my belief... Yeah we made a poor choice in RLC and Hjumlund was my pick alongside Musah. They'd give us so much steel in the centre, allowing Deers or Adli to create, while still have a player in Musah that can make runs.

If we want a DM, my pick is Ricci... I've not followed him greatly but I just feel he can develop quickly and nicely into done suet if Ambro/Gattuso midfielder that offers some bite in the middle of the field.

We've lacked that since Kessie left, it's still an issue, old and new management never addressed it... Hopefully a new competent manager will have a quick chat with Moncada and sort it out in the summer.

Red worst

Pretty bad reading for RLC.

Still think Cristante would've been smart business but now he's signed a contract until 2027. Home grown, seems to have improved a bit over the last year or two. Not a limited player - definitely an upgrade in terms of defensive contributions but has a good pass on him too. Unless we get rid of RLC - there really isn't much use having him, Musah and Pobega - so if we are forced to let a homegrown player go - then Cristante can come and help in that respect.

Even with that massive injury - Kjaer and his experience is proving important lately - having someone like that in the midfield might be a big help. Someone barking orders and stopping anyone dropping their levels.

Kessie's contract is until 2026 - they only spent 15 mil euro - not sure what his levels are like these days - but just bring him home too.

Kessie - Bennacer - Reijnders - subs: Musah - Adli - RLC

Napoli spent a significant fee on Petagna - I think Colombo has a much higher ceiling than him.
It doesn't take much for a strikers value to shoot up either. If they bring Colombo in and in the next 3 years, he has a hot period - an EPL side will spend 40 mil+ for a striker that is in form..

Milan are another of your old teams struggling for consistency...

“Milan is one of those teams that doesn't develop a good game, (Stefano) Pioli hasn't been able to improve things at least for now, but I think he can't do much more with the injuries and difficulties he has having."

And what of Zlatan Ibrahimovic's return?

“We will see and judge what Ibra will be able to do in the new role where knowing how to dribble or score goals is not required!"
