That we will never recover from? Really? The biggest fuck ups that are deadweight on out books are Bennacer, Origi and Adli. And all of them are remnants of a bygone era.

As for others...Royal is willing to leave and would leave if Fonseca wasnt the biggest fucking moron who decided to play him so he got injured. Musah we can clearly sell for solid money and we are obviosly moving on from Morata on a financially positive deal. We also cut our lossess from Felix and Walker. (Sotill, Pelegrino, Terra, Bondo... Wtf? How do they even matter?)

You can criticise this ownership for a lot of thing but being financially irresponsible is not one of them and trying tomove on from players when they see that someone is not working out is imo one of the things that actually do somewhat ok
You think Bennacer, Origi, and Adli are bigger fuck-ups than... Chuk? Emerson Royal? Okafor? Morata? Lol, what? Messias outperformed Chuk.

Fonseca is the biggest fucking moron that was... hired by who? The bygone era or the current owners?

Musah we can clearly sell for solid money? Wake me up when we actually sell him. Let's see what amazing deal Besiktas gives us for Emerson Royal. Morata is a financially positive deal? Do we get to factor in performances here when it comes to what is financially positive? You don't want to bring up Okafor? Pavlovic who can't mark an attacker to save his life?

And Walker and Felix--they didn't cost money? We paid money for Felix, and paid his salary, or am I wrong? Sottil didn't cost us money? Terra didn't cost us money? Bondo didn't cost us money? How do they not matter--we put money into players that didn't help us.

Let me use Bondo to explain my point: we paid 10m for Bondo when we needed a midfielder to help Fofana and Reijnders. Musah was terrible, RLC was injured the entire year, and so we spent 10m on Bondo, who was also injured, which hurt our sporting performances. Can you see why I don't agree with your point that these transfers don't matter?

Their choices are financially irresponsible, because they severely impact performance. We just lost 100m from missing out on the CL--because of this ownership's choices. They chose to put Moncada in charge, without a license. They did not think it was smart to hire an actual SD, that they didn't need one. They also chose not to hire a serious coach, when many were available, including Allegri who they hired now. They chose to hire Fonseca who you describe as "the biggest fucking moron." They interviewed him, nodded along with what he said, and then gave him money to run this team into the ground. This ownership hired Ibra and let him make choices like bring in Kivorski, who has no experience in Italy, at all, to head up out Futuro project and got them relegated--was that a good financial decision? Instead of keeping Abate, Ibra fired him (and his father)--was that a good financial decision?

They have moved on from players who aren't working out? What? So why is Chuk still here? Why did we let Kalulu go, to go buy Emerson Royal? We pushed out Adli for Musah? We loaned out Saelemaekers and relied on Okafor? The players who want to be here, who want to fight for this team, like Saelemaekers, like Adli, like Kalulu, those are the players that are problem? Okafor who couldn't stop eating, he wasn't a problem last year? For all the complaints about professionalism, Okafor doesn't raise a question about it?

And at the end of the day: they lost 100m in revenue by getting 8th place, because they made choices based on ego. Whether it was firing Abate, keeping Chuk, buying Emerson Royal, going after Felix and going 424, etc the decisions made by this ownership have been capricious and rooted in shifting blame, avoiding accountability, and for personal vanity.

That's the definition of financial irresponsibility.

Some of the latest whispers say Allegri might be ditching the 4-3-3 for a 3-5-2 – which honestly wouldn’t be the craziest thing. It'd explain why the Pubill talks suddenly cooled down. He’s a textbook conservative RB, not exactly screaming wingback, so if we’re shifting to a three-man backline, he just doesn’t fit the bill anymore.

Tomori at RCB, Gabbia centrally, Pavlo LCB – that tracks. Estupinan would bomb down the left as LWB, and on the right you’d probably rotate between Saele and Jimenez – both more useful there than as traditional RBs or RWs anyway.

It’d also make those "Allegri sees Leao as a second striker" rumors a bit more plausible. And if we’re really going for a 3-5-2, having a physical target man like Vlahovic à la Giroud makes total sense too – someone to absorb pressure, hold up play and feed off Leao’s chaos.

The catch? Pulisic. If this is the plan, it basically means Allegri is benching one of last season’s most productive players – right from the start. That’d be a massive statement. Or maybe just a tactical gamble that’ll blow up in his face.

Either way – we’ll probably learn more in the Arsenal game. For now, it’s all just tea leaves and Allegri mind games.
Hopefully we have 352 as an option rather than as our base shape.

I think the 352 hurts Pulisic for sure, but I also think it blunts Leao--unless Allegri really unlocks him in a new role (which I'm skeptical of)--but also: the 1-2 punch of them on the wings is something we need to maximize, not alter.

I'm hoping that our midfield reconstruction goes to plan, I think we saw the ultimate example of Moncada's midfield vision last year and it was terrible.

Hopefully we can somehow still bring in Xhaka.

We could do the 343 at times but we don’t have the cb depth to do that full time

Doesnt have the blazing pace but I love the tackling, the vision and the flair.
His shot seems very good as well.

Now that Pervis is in the bag, can anyone substantiate that claim that Transfermarkt gave us incorrect injury figures for him in the last 2 seasons? The claim was that he only missed 21 matches over the last 2 seasons, and not 54 like that website claimed.

This highlighted in yellow is duplicated for 2 seasons. Also in that 54 games, there are NT games. So yes, he only missed 6 games for Brighton in 24/25, 21 games in 23/24, and nothing in 22/23.

I can tell you him and Caicdo have the most games played for Ecuador since 2022.

Last summer was that unfortunate injury but he hasn't missed a beat since he came back. He's one of the reason why Ecuador has only conceded 5 goals in qualifiers.

Also happy about the signing of Pervis. Will be a new reality with him at a LB, Theo was cemented there for six years. Hopefully he can help the team improve.

In other fullback news I see Pubill is closer to Wolverhampton. I actually sneak peaked a comp of him and thought he looked like a great fit, but I guess not now.

Estupinan, RB, Jashari and I guess Vlahovic.

The team will have a totally new look next season.

Maybe Allegri thinks he can work with the CBs? I get that.

AC Milan could join Hellas Verona's race for Tchatchoua. Following interest from Inter, Napoli, and Nottingham Forest—who are ready to offer €12 million—the Rossoneri, given their difficulties in finding a full-back, could accelerate their efforts in the coming hours.

Lmao debatable, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Origi had at least won the prem, fa cup and CL. Was a cult hero at Liverpool. In comparison, Spurs fans were partying, sane Milan fans were protesting and management still proceeded to buy him.

Both shit deals but one i could at least partly understand.
Joining a cult is the only reason I could think of for Maldo giving him 4m a season

Don't know. Good question. Maybe they trust Bartesaghi with only Serie A to think of?

There should always be real competition in a position imo.

Finally,
Wait he’s older than Theo!

Theo was born 1997 October 6th.
Pervis was born 1998 January 21st.
Theo is 4 months Older.

Yeah on the CBs, I don't think its crazy for Max to think he can make something work, we've seen flashes of real talent from all 4 of them, its been consistency that has been the real issue.

I think there are other positions where its way more important to get an upgrade, (like those you mentioned) and trust that improved coaching can elevate the play of the guys we have, with Thaiw having the most upside

Pervis will become a fan favorite here

Get Mateta and Jashari and close the window

Will probably get Vlahovic which is ok but Mateta will be league a winning signing
