Pobega is just a new Daniel Maldini, here to fill the homegrown spot and be the backup for the backups, with slight hopes that he might turn into a utility player like Krunic.
That's going to take more than just a preseason and a few appearances to find out.

As for Adli, he's not a double pivot midfielder, his CAM game at Bordeaux didn't seem fast paced enough for our approach. Heck, the club was even willing to wait one year for his arrival. Let's just say he wasn't picked because he filled immediate needs of the coach.
I'm not optimistic, but still, a preseason and a few rounds is barely anything when you're dealing with a young, tactical misfit in a new league and country.

If they are misfits and don't fit any role by either making the first team better / replacing players that left / or have good rotational purpose then someone fucked up.

I'll let the fanboys fight over if it was Maldini or pioli.

And if this is the case then the original poster was right. Rotating is silly when you don't have a squad you can rotate.

Especially 4 games into the season with our first mid week game.

I think it's too early to give up on them, but also way too early to expect them to be fully integrated by now. Maldini? Adli, a seemingly undervalued Ligue 1 talent, looks like a Moncada signing, approved by Massara.
I view Paolo as more of a player manager / advisor on defenders / seducer than a nerdy technical director who keeps tracks of players in obscure leagues.

His shooting was always really good. It was the rest of his game ( ball control, vision, dribbling,,,etc ) that was really bad. Overall Nasti seems a better player. If Colombo can score 10+ goals then maybe Milan can sell him for 15-20 mil next summer!

exactly. He turned up in UCL. I hope we don't lose a UCL match because he underperformed but so far, history is, he won us a game with other guys of course. So its ok to have him in UCL till he can win games for us. Serie A is different matter. I hope CDK/Dest are tried out by pioli on the wing so that right wing becomes better then what it is.

Regarding Colombo - Lecce have an option on him. I imagine they will activate it.

I use Maldini as a catch all term for mmm.

I don't think it's too much for players to at least know their positions 3 months after joining.

Either way.. if you don't have a team to rotate then don't. Just sub people in as required. If you do have / want a team to be rotational then make sure u know their positions.

Pobega is a 23 year old who has made his national team debut and been in serie A for who knows how long not to mention he has trained with our squad in previous seasons.
