It's the middle of June...the transfer window closes at the end of August. That's two and a half months left. No clubs have really started any business considering the Euros are still underway. Please wait until August 31st to pass a judgement on the transfer season. I don't understand why everyone is so bitchy and pessimistic this early. Just be patient and wait.

i agree that there is plenty of time and of course we should use it wisely but....

1. some of our target players like drogba, eto, ronaldinho dnt have anythin to do with euro
2. well what are we wating for its the time period where our managent is least busy
3. if we can get a player why not get him earlier if we can get them?, the sooner they join the more they will settle and gel with tea mates before the season, signing a player in august is better than nothin but gives the player a disadvantage compared to signing on july 1st (if they sign now they will still come here in june unless on hols or international duty)

Aren't there any news that the fans won't buying any seasonal ticket until the management buying some star players?

siatanhai, I think I can answer your question.. but not sure if that's what our managements think too.

1. My best bet is that we are not going to buy Drogba n Ronaldinho. Drogba is more overpriced than Adebayor in my opinion.
2. Maybe because other clubs are waiting for the Euro2008 to end before deciding. Besides, some clubs like to have multiple transfer. So, they are waiting for the players decision too.
3. Like in no 2. I think, because the European players won't make any decision until the Euro2008 ends.

We'll see. If Milan won't buy good player when Euro2008 ends, I would be furious too. But now, we can't blame our managements.
My 2 cents.

I don't know if were gone loan him out again but i think his fairly good signing.

A statement on the club's official website reads:

“A.C.Milan officially announces that it has resolved the two co-ownership deals with Empoli. Ignazio Abate will be entirely of Milan, whereas Nicola Pozzi entirely of Empoli.”

Abate was impressive with Empoli last season and he raised eyebrows around the peninsula. Intially he was owned by both clubs on a co-ownership deal.

However, Milan have agreed a fee with Empoli which has seen the player return to San Siro where he learnt his trade as part of Milan's youth academy.

The Rossoneri are likely to keep him as cover or they may send him out on loan to gain more experience in Serie A.

Pozzi on the other hand has decided to stay with the Tuscan outfit even though they have been relegated to Serie B.

Both players are part of Pier Luigi Casiraghi's Italy under -21 squad but Pozzi is currently injured an so he will not play a part in the Beijing Olympics later this year.

The trouble is we have been patient for years. When are we going to buy some top quality players and really challenge for the scudetto? We certainly are not good enough at the moment. i mean Boruc is a top quality keeper available for around £10 million and were saying he is too expensive? I dont want another year wathcing Milan thinking if the other team have a shot they will probably score. Dida, kalac and Abbiati are just not good enough.

I never said you can't be mad but I think it makes more sense to be mad or pleased when the window is closed. Anything can happen between now and August 31st...there is plenty of time to sign a world class forward..one of our keepers could go opening up a space for someone like Boruc...I'm not buying that don't have enough money thing so much. For me it has more to do with keeping 4 top quality keepers happy.

Sometimes its good to wait until the Euros. Not all of our targets are really wanted by other clubs...but depending on what happens at the Euros players prices can rise or drop and that can determine whether we're able to sign someone for 30mil now or cheaper if the club recognises they can get another replacement for a reasonable price so hence won't rob us blind. It could also backfire but what happens if some youngster impresses at the Euros. I'm sure tons of people here will be complaining that we didn't sign said player.

Yea, but given our success the last few years, an asteroid hitting the Earth is more probable than we having a great transfer campaign. Names like Boriello and Zambrotta prove my point.

Actually we only sign players that are not really wanted by other clubs :D

I think people tend to forget that it's not just the 10m price tag, but the contract matters as well. A player of his stature will likely command a relatively high sum per year.

A player who scored 19 goals last season is good enough for a 3rd striker IMO. He only becomes a poor signing if we don't get a good first striker. And Zambrotta still has it. I don't think he's lost any of his pace or his physical attributes and errors are cut down with age despite that one against Romania so i'll take his poor form for Barca as just that, poor form.

Actually we only sign players that are not really wanted by other clubs :D

That's sometimes a smart thing. We'll see.

A 3rd striker would be okay, although I would prefer a younger prospect (Palo?) in that position. The problem is that we won't get anyone else and Bori will be a starter. As for Zambro, I'm a pessimist, but hope you're right.

Inter Set To Ambush Calderon's Move For Ronaldo?

Inter Set To Ambush Calderon's Move For Ronaldo?
Inter are set to try and out-bid Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo according to reports in Spain. The Nerazzurri are working behind the scenes to ambush Real's plans for Ronaldo and grab him from their reach.
The Manchester United winger is a top-priority for Los Merengues but Inter could hijack the deal and swoop for the Old Trafford star.

Ronaldo has expressed his desire to join the Santiago Bernabeu outfit and he keeps dropping hints that he will move to Madrid.

However, Inter are believed to be waiting to ambush Ramon Calderon's plans. El Mundo Deportivo claim that Inter will join the race for the player and a move could be easier than expected as both Jose Mourinho and Ronaldo share the same agent, Jorge Mendes Mourinho may use his good relationship with the agent to try and convince the young.

United have always denied that they would sell their player but with such mega offers being touted, it would be too hard for the Glazer's to reject any mega money bid from abroad.

Real are favourites to sign the Portuguese winger but Mourinho is a big fan and friend of the player and so the Nerazzurri have a chance of clinching a possible coup if the Real move fails.

Massimo Moratti is not afraid to splash big and he has proved this in the past. If Mourinho asks for Ronaldo then there is a good chance Moratti will provide the necessary funds to land him.

The Nerazzurri are currently under-going major changes with Mourinho planning to bring in the Portuguese contingent, one of them might just be Ronaldo.

Nice to see people are putting the kid's welfare first, as opposed to taking risks and putting excessive pressure on him.

But his price is going nowhere but up after his showing at these EURO's.

We probably should have put in a serious bid before these Euros. David Villa is another one who came to play at these Euro's his price will also shoot up like oil prices in the West.

It's either Inter or Chelsea...with Scolari there now he can influence and drag more than a few quality Portugese and Brazilians with him to England.

at this age a lot of kids show great talent, but very very few are becoming pro-players, and very very few realy good, ond one or two are becoming a star.
so it is pointless to say that he is new kaka.

I hope we don't want to sign Lobont only because he is ,,second best" goalkeeper after Buffon.I think Galliani tries to convince fans that Cech is crap and Lobont is good. But the truth is that we want him only because he is cheap.:head:

On Sunday night Cech made an horrendous error which played a massive part
in the Czech Republic’s 3-2 defeat to Turkey that saw them eliminated from Euro 2008.

Galli believes that Cech has never been the same since he fractured his skull playing for Chelsea against Reading in October 2006, and he thinks that the goalkeeper will never return to the top.

"I must say that after that incident he is no longer at his old levels", Galli told the Corriere dello Sport.

"Buffon is without doubt the best. Apart from the error on the first Dutch goal he has been phenomenal.

“[Bogdan] Lobont is the next best, I like him a lot. Edwin Van der Sar has never convinced me.

"Iker Casillas? He has never convinced me much either. Artur Boruc? Had he had an Italian school he would have been among the top five in the world.

“He has the physique, the reflexes, courage, but Celtic want 12 million euros. The Swiss lad Benaglio is interesting.”

Galli won 19 caps for Italy, winning a World Cup winners medal in 1982, and playing at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico.

Erik77 reading is your friend. It's Galli, he was a goalie for Italy not GalliANI. But not quit sure he says something about Borucs price though,,,

On channel 4 Barca had said Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Deco are for sale. Maybe we can pounce on Eto'o. Also in another article it says we have approached Veloso and offered again but we will only see after the Euros.

Well, one can disagree with Giovanni Galli's statement.
But lets not forget that, besides playing for the azzurri, he was the goalkeeper of our Grandissimo Milan when Sacchi was the coach.

Whatever we do I sincerly hope that we DON'T follow up our interest around Mario Gomez, this is the closest you may come to GilardinA.

He has missed unbelievable sitters at the EURO's so far, but I've got a weird feeling that it's plenty where that came from
