With all due respect to Galli, his comments on Casillas are idiotic. Casillas is without doubt one of the best keepers in the world.

About Lobont he may be good in milan ,but our defence sucks ,the cat has good reflexes his a little short thought .

Anyway he would be a huge improvement over butterfly fingers kalac .

I don't know. If Milan is willing to use second class keeper like Kalac, why don't we find a cheap but talented youngster with almost the same quality like Kalac?
With Kalac, we don't invest at all, and he will only drop in performance cause of his age. With youngster, it has greater possibility to improve in the future.

It could be that Kalac is better than we (or I) thought? Or perhaps Galliani loves old players too much?

I'd put my money on the second guess.

no disrespect to the poster but this transfer for Milan team you are bringing some kid from your backyard and say he should be signed for christ sake he is too young :o

I`m not saying that he will play with AC Milan with Kaka and Pirlo but I`m saying that if we approach to sign him , he will growth at Milanello and perhaps become a superstar in future.

Milan & Inter Join Juve In Race For Cassano

AC Milan and Inter have joined Juventus in the race to sign Sampdoria star Antonio Cassano, according to **********.

The 25-year-old is undoubtedly one of Italy’s most naturally-gifted players, and following a couple of years where his career seemed to go off the rails, he last season lit up Serie A while on loan at Sampdoria.

Cassano has just recently signed for Sampdoria on a permanent deal from Real Madrid, however he has a minimum fee release clause in his contract of just €15m.

Earlier this week ********** reported that Juventus were considering making a move for the forward as they plan to find a long-term replacement for Alessandro Del Piero, who will turn 34 later this year.

The same newspaper says that AC Milan and Inter have now also entered the running to sign the skilful attacker.

"He would be a bargain for Juve, Inter, Milan and any great team,” said Eugenio Fascetti, the coach who launched Cassano’s career at Bari.

Inter are prepared to hand Sampdoria both Robert Acquafresca and Francesco Toldo as part of the deal to sign the former Roma man. Milan meanwhile could also decide to include players in part exchange.

Nevertheless it seems likely at this stage that Cassano will choose to stay at Samp for one more year, before moving to a big club in the summer of 2009.

Here the offer for Adrian Mutu

All fans wait some words from Andrea Della Valle about Adrian Mutu, because yesterday evening seems so closer the transfer to Milan for 13 million euros plus Oddo and Simic.

anyone who honors the shirt
so far we have been outstanding in the transfe rmarket...

1. we got a very promising, young "gattuso" in Flamini,
2. we got one of the best RB in the world, and an Italian national, who is not that old in Zambrotta,
3. and we got back our young striker Boriello who will need to prove he is not a one-time-thing.

I think all thats left now, is to maybe sign 3 more players and ditch 3 more..

1 GK
1 CB
1 LB

Optional for me is the CF dept. We are fine in attack....Pato/Boriello/Inzaghi/Paloschi/Ronaldo
and i am not even considering Kaka in the list...so we are MORE than fine.

Now if a good opportunity arrives, then fuck yeah i'm in. But i dont want to spend big on players are not even worth the money their teams are asking (eg Adebayor). I would prefer a young talent from brazil/argentina/spain.

Should leave: Dida, Simic, Oddo

This thread is not for "Perhaps" players. This thread is for proffesional players which 'perhaps' we could sign.So i found this thread so useless and i think it should be close.!

Ronaldo is doubt! He maybe never plays football again! And if he do, i doubt that he will play for us again.
And Paloschi is loaned out to reggina!
So we have young Pato, old but useful Inzagi and potencional 1 season wonder in boriello. Well i say we need another striker more then anything!!!

Fine in attack? Do me a favour. Pato is the only player on genuine class and he isnt the finished article or proven yet. Borriello is probably going to be a one season wonder so we cant count on him. Pippo although great in his time is coming to the end of his career and wont be available for the whole season. Paloschi needs time and Ronaldo wont be here, if there is any justice.

And as for Mutu and Cassano both are medicore at best and i dont want them. If we dont get a world class forward our season is doomed before it starts.

comparing the two, i will bet my money on a good GK and defender rarther than a striker.

and as i have said, it would be wrong to spend so much money on a player, where you can get 2 well known youngsters.

Anyhow we cant all see things the same way so its all good.

Lets hope G satisfies as all,

Another GK, CB, LB and CF ....then we are all happy..

...hopefully...

Lol ,cant really vouch for Cassano but Mutu has been constantly in top 3 players in Italy for the last 2 seasons.

And Cassano at best is very good but his wasting allot of his talent whit all hist idiotic outbursts .

Btw goal.com says that were still after r10 /drogba/eto/adebayor.

Il take r1- and Mutu and were set in atack/midfield .

Cassano could use Ancelotti's man-management skills.

I dont know what to say about this.

The Diavoli have been one of the most active teams on the transfer market
this summer, however their ability to splash out vast sums of money has been hit by the failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

"The ownership of Milan has always brought certain responsibilities and will continue to do so,” Galliani explained to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It's no coincidence that we're facing a revenue loss of about £30 million due to the non-qualification for the Champions League.

"The club has always thought big and continues to do so. Berlusconi has always left me with a great deal of autonomy in management.

“That is why I say that the choice not to go shopping mad is absolutely mine. There are significant economic reasons that have led us to reflect.”

Galliani believes that Milan’s situation is symptomatic of the whole of Italian football, and says that Serie A is now lagging far behind the financial power of England, Spain and Germany.

"I am not exaggerating when I say now that Italian football is in fourth place in Europe behind England, Spain and Germany,” the transfer guru stated.

“Unfortunately we can no longer compete for certain players.

"The fate of our football will continue to suffer unless we change things.

“However I still believe this Milan will be competitive with the signings of Mathieu Flamini and Gianluca Zambrotta, plus the return of Marco Borriello, Christian Abbiati and Luca Antonini, in addition to promoting Matteo Darmian."

this is fucked one minute galliani is saying we will sign a top quality foward and is lining up around £30mil for him the next minute we are in a cash crisis behind germany england and spain and we still be competitive with our great signings.

abbiati is replacing fiori so only a slight improvement.

zambrotta is replacing cafu so a improvement there and hes shown is the euro's he still got it.

darmian might get promoted to the first-team he is a promising yongster but with nesta, kala, bonera, maldini will he get a sniff i very much doubt it we also have digao and simic hes probly already better than them though.

antonini is replacing serginho not seen him play much but he certainly wont be injured as much as serge so hes better back-up in that respect.

flamini came in on a free do we really need him with rino, ambro, emo, brocchi i know hes better than emo and brocchi but we cant judge him against ambro and rino yet because hes only had one good season.

abate came back we dont play wingers so he will be on the bench or go out on loan, gourcuff went on loan so he next to seedorf and kaka is the only attack-minded midfielder.

borriello came in to replace gila this guy is awful imo scored less than 1o goals in the previus 6 years before last season now he scores 19 and is considered to be a great striker.

gallini needs a bullet seriously, every year he comes out we will sign him, or him next minute nobody, if we were willing to spend £30mil on adebayor then why not £18mil on huntelaar then let gallini and berlu keep the rest i just want a new striker.

He said nothing about a cash crisis that is just the made up headline he is saying what he has said for years, Milan have the funds but will not spend them unless they are happy with the deal(usually it must be on Galliani's terms).

Flamini is agood player & an excellent signing.

I agree that Galliani is a pain in the arse & needs the fans to give him a good beating again.

I agree that an attacking midfielder along side Kaka' & Seedorf is needed especially with Gourcuff gone.

Actually goal .com is saying one thing and the minute the other .Galliani may be very bad /stupid at choosing Milan targets but he is right about one thing,in terms of economics italy is 4th place and if they dont improve soon there gonna loose even that place to the russians or the french .

The only thing we can hope now is that were going after top players and if clubs accept our bid and bids from lets say chelsky or w/e,hope that players will choose tradition over money...

the difference is taht the top clubs like Milan, Inter & Juve can compete with anyone if they want but the lower teams in Italy cannot when compared to other leagues. A good example would be Cagliari with all their total yearly player wage bill that comes to less than Kaka' earns in a year(9 million euros).

He can play left back or in the midfield. Had an impressive season for Empoli. Will surprise some people this season.

Abate can play behind the strikers as we saw in the toulon tournament where italy played a 4-3-2-1 (x mas tree) and abate and gio played behind osvaldo. so abate is very much needed in this team . :)
