This is the draw I have been hoping for, Dortmund have already proved they can handle Madrid, and Bayern are the best team to beat Barcelona.

I just saw the highlights of the Dortmund vs Malaga match. Those last two Dortmund goals...the first one wasn't offside, as the most central Malaga defender (looked like Demichelis from the distance) was a little behind the defensive line, thus keeping the forward-most Dortmund player ON. Was a clear goal.

However, the next goal was OFFSIDE by yards, and lots of them. The player who eventually stroked the ball to Santana to tap in was the culprit. Even at that, the Malaga defence made a mess there, esp. Antunes. But to be fair to them, they were waiting for the rightful offside call and weren't so alert.

That was so noobish of them. You keep playing till you hear that whistle. You can't let your concentration slip, even for a moment. There's no time to catch a breath, then. Esp. at the 94th minute of a match INFINITELY IMPORTANT to your club. Esp. on a stage as MIGHTY as the Champions League. Esp. in the quarter finals. Esp. when you braved SO MUCH to get that far. :head:

One thing I noticed in those late goals was Dortmund's set-piece skill. The first, legitimate, goal was from an indirect free-kick. The next, illegitimate, goal was from a short, quick throw-in. Set-piece practice DOES make the difference at times like that. :star:

Eliseu's goal was also offside, though it wasn't offside twice like the last Dortmund goal; i'm not sure how this affects who wins morally.

Chris, sorry but I don't think you made any sense. Or maybe you didn't stress your point properly.

I had to watch Eliseu's goal like four times, freeze-frame and all, just to be sure. And I'll tell you this: he WASN'T offside. Of course, Julio was in the clear, JIC. :)

An offside call is determined THE INSTANT THE PASS IS MADE, and this is relative to the receiver of the pass. When the pass was made to Baptista, he was on, and it was at this point that Eliseu OUTRAN THE OFFSIDE TRAP.

Understand this. A player who is intelligent and pacy enough to determine the last defender's 'line' and the overall movement of all the defenders (usually the CBs, rarely alongside the FBs and almost never with WBs) and factor this in a well-timed RUN, is right. He (or she) beat the offside trap in that case, and play continues.

IOW, Eliseu's goal was legit, and Baptista's assist was genius. :star:

I don't know where I ever mentioned the morality of Dortmund's victory in my post. :conf:

Eliseu was offside.

When Baptista passed the ball, Eliseu was ahead of the last defender.

When the ball was passed to Baptista is irrelevant.

It's not an opinion, it's a fact.

Eliseu was offside, Baptista was not, but when Baptista received the ball is irrelevant.

Now get this. I explained it previously but I'll get at that AGAIN.

Eliseu outran the offside trap. Of course, Baptista's position wasn't offside SO I WAS REFERRING TO ELISEU, who scored the goal in contention.

He beat the offside trap cleanly and received the NICE inclined pass at the far post. And tapped in.

???

Would Bayern have the nerve to step up and press Barca? They'll be fucked if they let Barca push them deep.

Corz your an idiot

He was offside

WHEN THE BALL IS PLAYED

That means the pass from Baptista to Elisu, in which case Elisu was ahead of the last defender and therefore offside

It was offside, I was pretty sure about it without even watching a single replay. You either don`t know the offside rule or are very biased..

I want to see how they'll play without the majority of possession, probably for the first time in ages, for them.

You guys amaze me, seriously...

But, no, I'm not surprised. I know why. If I stated that it (Eliseu's goal) was offside from the start, the whole forums would go:

"Corz ur an idiot
Didnt u c how he beat the last defender
He beat teh offside trap so d goal is not offside
U idiot moron minstrel ******ed fuck, what do u know "

Really. RBF loves Corz, hahahaha. :D

Before, this got me stressed out. Now, it just makes me laugh real hard. AAA comic relief. :star:

Who's the next to make Corz look like a fool? To disprove every single thing he posts? :D

@Tfat, put on Ten Action right now. Carlton Palmer and the Scottish Barca fan pundit throwing out some classic stuff.

So is a fact what is perceived by a person to be correct

Or is it a fundamental truth that applies to us all

A fact is that Ibra has never won a CL.

Freds fact is that Ibra is the best player in the world.

So it depends really.

My facts are facts. Everything else is just opionion.

Zlatan has won the league 10 times in the last 11 years.
In 6 clubs and 4 countries.
A CL trophy isn't much compared to that.

That is a fact.
