AC Milan v Cagliari Preview: Allegri Meets His Ex-Disciples As Donadoni Makes A Return To San Siro
Friday, May 13th, 2011 | Posted by Parth Pandya
They say, ‘longer the wait, sweeter the kiss.’ The sentiment was greatly exemplified over the last one week as Italy’s most glorious club AC Milan bagged their 18th Scudetto title having managed a goalless draw in the Capital city. The point earned over the hosts Roma ensured a crucial six point lead over city rivals Internazionale which the latter cannot overturn even by mathematical probabilities owing to the head-to-head record tilting into Milan’s favour. The celebrations knew no bounds as the fans were longing for this moment for seven years since the last league title won in 2004 under erstwhile coach Carlo Ancelotti. It also happens to be the first major piece of silverware to Milan’s credit since clinching the Champions League title in 2007.

This is our last home match, Allegri should field the strongest lineup, do it for the fans. San Siro is sold out for this match, the fans certainly will want to see Milan win on the night we lift the Scudetto and have the big party.
I'm sure Allegri knows that and fields the strongest eleven, I'll be at San Siro and I would love to see our best players on the pitch.

Best day to be at the SS, hope we win and hope you have a blast. Party hard :)

Seems like that, now my whole schedule is fucked up :fp:
I thought I'll go to San Siro about three hours before kick-off because I have to pick up my tickets. Now that they'll celebrate at Duomo before the match I'll then have to hurry to get my tickets in time.

Are they gonna play drunk?

Maybe

and thanks everyone, I will certainly enjoy my time in Milano, celebrations and sold out San Siro, it's gonna be epic, will make tons of pictures :D

Shouldn't Ambrosini start with the captain's armband in this match for him to lift the title?

Or does that not apply in Serie A?

I just watched a bit of today's training and during the partitella, Inzaghi was in the supposed starting line-up for tomorrow alongside Ibrahimovic in the frontline.

Nice to read that, but I don't think Pippo will start, but it gives me high hope that he'll be a sub, omg I'll see him at San Siro then, hopefully he'll score a goal, I want to experience that

EDIT:
Some info for those who are in Milano tomorrow

CHAMPIONS AT THE DUOMO

MILAN - This is the route that the Rossoneri’s bus is going to take tomorrow, May 14, to celebrate together with the fans!

After departuring from Via Turati at around 17.15 CET, the team will be driven through Via Manzoni, Piazza della Scala, Via Santa Margherita and Via Mengoni. From there we’ll head on to Piazza Duomo at around 17.45 CET. After having greeted the fans, the Rossoneri will go to the San Siro for the usual pre-game build-up. The celebrations will continue after the game against Cagliari.

We’re waiting for you to paint the city red and black together!
The city tour of the newly crowned Italian champions on board an open top bus will culminate in Piazza Duomo, where the team will unveil a big surprise, which will keep Milan fans company in their city throughout the summer.

Right after the final whistle, the league title cup will be handed over to Milan by the representatives of Lega Serie A, followed by the team’s lap of honour. At the San Siro, sold out for tomorrow’s game, some further surprises await the attending fans!

From Claudia: Yes, they're going to the Duomo before the match because it's probably going to rain on Saturday evening/night. However the Milan Megastore and other Milan Stores around the city will be open until 2 am.

Are they gonna play drunk?

I was thinking the same. I hope so. I want to see Oddo in the game.

Allegri u dumb F...no more Pirlo next Van Boom, and No more Seedorf behind the strikers. U already know that this won't work and still used it against the shittiest team Palermo. the problem is you had Cassano in the bench which makes more pissed. Anyways plz Field solid midfielders. Ambro-Van Boom-Seedorf or Flamini-Van Boom-Seedorf...no Gattuso plz

I hope he plays the youngsters later on...especially Didac, I want to see this guy playing.
