I do know Conte did an impressive job both at Siena and Bari (and had a fallout with Atalanta, but that always seemed to be more aimed with the fans), and I seem to recall everyone in here laughing at him being tactically regid cause everyone expected 4-2-2-2 with Pirlo on and everyone expecting Juventus to fall in 5-6th place again, so now that he has shown all of us otherwise, our excuses are "he hasn't faced injury problems" "he has played less games than us", all valid, but we're forgetting Juventus in the past few seasons was even worse with injuries than us this season, even when they weren't fighting for anything in Europe, Conte went there and started a completely different trainning regime, and regardless of not playing as many games as we have, it is impressive how they've been able to keep most of their squad intact for the season. He has shown he's able to adapt to tactics, in fact, he found the best way to get the best out of all his players. And they've played very well many games, yes there's some here and there that have been a bore to watch, but most of the time they play really good football. And they have the Juventus attitude, you know, that attitude they had when Conte played. Juventus success has always relied on 3-4 top players + a bunch of decent/average/some good players with lots of grit an attitude, I'm seeing that alot in this side (you know that fucking annoying Juventus attitude, argh, they're bastards and they know it and they go on the field to show it and they don't give up easily).
Would he be there without Pirlo? Yeah well a) I thought Pirlo was done, or that was what many here were convinced of b) it's not like that's unfair advantage c) knowing how to use Pirlo at his best takes a special talent (and it's not that easy to understand it seems, considering we wasted him for around 3-4 years...and once we found a way to get him going that injury hit).
They're 2-3 players away from really taking it to a whole different level, and it's not impossible to believe that will happen considering a) they'll return to CL (which is now our source of laughter "lolz they'll fail in the CL so hard lolz" after his wig), b) the revenue from their stadium.
(that said, nothing against Allegri, I also love watching his moves, and getting the best out of his squad).
As for Pirlo himself, I do believe that he's not incompatible with Allegri's tactics as pre injury he was very much a starter and a key player. The situation here was financial, and in that sense I don't think it was wrong for either part to demand anything (tbf, Pirlo is younger than the other senatori, but tbf, his salary was a bit of a weight for us too)...but football wise, he would be here, and he would be key and we did wasted him for 3-4 years, always said and I'll stand by that.
