Nope. I'm pretty sure they won't answer as well as the decision is to be made by FIGC and it's made like a week before the match. You really need to be prepared for all Saturday + Sunday times if you want to book it way ahead.

Oh and I missed your question a bit as you are talking about only Saturday. Truth is there is only 2 games usually on Saturday. Crunch matches are preferred to be played on Sunday evening if the top teams don't have Europe games ahead of them.

Crunch matches are like Milan - Roma?

So you're saying that there is a chance the match will be on Sunday evening?

You know...week's best match. Milan-Roma definetly qualifies for one.

ALL MILAN PLAYERS...Juninho, Diego, Lugano, Del Piero, Buffon, Cicinho.
The average age of the team is very old, the tactics have been the same for about 4 years, players don't get enough rest and are not motivate enough to play their socks off on the field.

Motivation can bring us anything like we saw last year in the Champions League; it's the will of the players, which is something the coach has to put right.

Thread belongs in discussions section or something but anyway:

The answer isnt always replacement. Imo we should give every player time to prove themselves. But as football is all about competing there should be a limit to how many chances a player gets before he is replaced. Btw the last thing we should worry about is money. Berlusconi is loaded and we won heaps after winning ucl etc. Its a fact that we win waaaaaaaaaay more than we care to spend to improve our football/ticket sales. I mean, where did those 67 (?) millions go? We hardly spent 20 of them and we have to keep in mind that ticket sales & merchandize also earns some money. Although i know players need their salaries it doesnt mean that we dont have any money.

Um, simply put: we have more than enough money, problem is that we may not be attractive to some players and that we offer/bid too little when trying to snatch players

If you'll excuse me, a physics labreport cant write itself

As soon as we don't offer any new contracts for some old players like Cafu, Serginho, Favalli next year.

Because there is a limit to how many games a player can play and how often a player can play up to his full ability. This team is so damned old that most of the rotation players are having trouble playing at all nevertheless performing well while they play. There are so many holes on this roster right now that it is not even in the same league as teams such as Roma and Inter any more nevertheless Barcelona and Chelsea. Sure, spending billions doesn't necessarily win you championships, but spending nothing isn't going to win you anything period. Milan is not world bank, but is spending less money than a team trying to avoid relegation necessary? Milan is a huge club and they should spend on the market like one. Berlusconi and Galliani need to drop their arrogance and think the team is perfect and actually open up that damned wallet to spend some real money on this team instead of cheaping out every time when they try to sign somebody.

The League Table: How it is and how it would be

THE LEAGUE TABLE: HOW IT IS AND HOW IT WOULD BE
10/16/2007

MILAN - HOW IT IS: Inter 17 points; Juventus e Roma 14; Fiorentina 13; Genoa 12; Palermo e Udinese 11; Milan, Napoli e Atalanta 10; Catania 9, Sampdoria 8; Torino, Lazio e Cagliari 7; Siena e Parma 6; Empoli 5; Reggina 4; Livorno 2. HOW IT WOULD BE WITHOUT REFEREE MISTAKES: Inter 19 punti; Juventus 18; Milan e Roma 15; Fiorentina e Genoa 14; Palermo e Udinese 11; Reggina, Napoli e Atalanta 10; Catania e Lazio 9, Sampdoria 8; Torino e Cagliari 7; Siena e Parma 6; Empoli 5; Livorno 2.

milan has been criticizing referees after many games this year, but in my opinion referee mistakes are only part of the game. milan has had many chances this year where they could have scored a winner but because of poor execution could not. milan needs to stop blaming the refs for our shortcomings in serie a and take some responsibility. also i do not think it is their place to judge the refereeing in other matches and declare how many points other teams should have. milan needs to worry about their own business and make internal improvements if they arent succeeding.

the reason why we are in that position in the table is not the fault of the refs. it is our fault and that is that. we need to pick up our play and stop pointing the finger at others.

I agree that we are being spoiled sports.

Havng said that it is also true that the situation has gotten even more complicated since the refs are piling up misfortune on the top of our crappy performances.

I remember, last year was the year of the woodworks since we were hitting posts and bars right and left but the ball just didn't want to get in the net.

In my 15 years of being a MILANISTA, I have never had that experience before. Similarly, this is an odd year with the referees. Every game, something is going wrong against us.

Again, I am suggesting that it is all of their faults. We are playing absolutely horrendous but it has been compounded by the referees too.

Plus, our lack of a true striker is finally proving to be detrimental. Hope, we can somewhat survive through December without losing out a spot in the next round in CL.

I 100% agree with you it was the same last year when we went on a downward slide and all we kept hearing from the management was "we are unlucky" "we hit the post" "we will improve" its all just excuses for our lack of vision, If we were all honest the champions league win last season was great but we stuttered towards winning it and liverpool really should have beaten us in the final. Our reason we are playing so poorly is our lack of depth in our current squad compared to the squad we had 2 seasons ago, i mean we let sheva go and never really replaced him till last january when we got ronaldo and then we looked better up front but we saw last season if gila and inzaghi are off form and ronaldo is injured we have no natural striker who can create on his own and then we over rely on kaka and seedorf to fill in which just isint fair. I know we have pato to arrive in january but we can`t put all that responsibility in an 18yr old, we should have bought a proven goalscorer in the summer as inzaghi aint gettin any younger and that would give ancelotti more options and the ability to rest players. We also need a good back up for kaka or ancelotti needs to trust in gourcuff more as kaka must be shattered as he practically played every game for us last season and needs a break in between games to keep his level at the top.

Great news
Milan’s Samba stars shine Friday 16 November, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alexandre Pato and Ronaldo were the stars of the show as they went head-to-head in a training match at Milanello.
The Rossoneri were due to play a friendly against Serie C2 outfit Varese, but opted instead to play an internal test game.
All eyes were on striking starlet Pato and his compatriot Ronaldo, who is returning from a long-term thigh injury.
Neither man disappointed and the match finished 2-2 with each man bagging a brace and winning high praise from youth Coach Filippo Galli.

“Ever since he arrived Pato has impressed me,” he enthused. “He always scores and he is the kind of player who isn’t afraid to bathe in sweat.

“It’s not easy to find players of his calibre. Obviously these are just training games, but he has shown himself to be an extraordinary player in Brazil and in friendlies.

“Ronaldo is also looking good. He is a born goal scorer and his return will be important, as opposition sides fear him.”

Coach Carlo Ancelotti was also happy with what he saw and indicated that Ronaldo’s frustrating spell on the sidelines would shortly come to an end.
“Ronnie wants to play and he would have surely played part of the game in Bergamo,” he revealed. “He’ll get time in Cagliari.
“Pato is a great champion and he will prove it. All we have to do is wait until January when he is available.
“The only worry that he has at the moment is that he hasn’t learned very much Italian, but luckily footballers don’t have to say that much.
“He goes a lot on instinct and that’s something that you have inside and it can’t improve or deteriorate.
“He is lucky that God has given him that quality. Now he must exploit it and use it for the good of the team.”
Pato is available in official games from January 3 when his move from Brazilian side Internacional is finally complete.

and we`ve played 3 games less..

atalanta,inter,cagliari have one game less..
inter - cagliari is tonight (that game means almost nothing to us,as we can`t aim for the scudetto now and cagliari are heading towards seria b)..

we have good chances of finishing in top four, especially if we play like last season + fiorentina and udinese start dropping points..

After watching us play in the CWC and thinking back to our Serie A play I'm trying to figure out why we don't perform as good in Serie A as we do on the European or world stage. Other than motivation of the players I've realised that we struggle to break down teams. During the latter parts of the first half against Boca when we weren't in possession too often we looked like we normally do in Serie A.

I'm not entirely sure as to how we fix this but one reason I can think of is to simply play with two strikers. In Serie A teams smother the one point striker we have an stifle any space for Kaka to run into, which is when he's most lethal. Adding another striker pulls more defenders out of the way and opens up space for others.

The three deep midfielders for me don't really deter us too much because Ambrosini likes to push forward alot for a player of his type, and his height is a threat from set pieces.

Anyone else have any suggestions as to why we struggle in the league and how to improve on this?

Hi...

I think its because our team mentality...
They struggle to change their style of play...
Well you know...
Serie A lower clubs defend in numbers...
They rather draw than lose...

Serie A is a borefest in comparison to European and world competitions. It's the same old shit week after week. That's why we fall asleep against the likes of Empoli and Catania.

In Serie A attractive football isn't the key. You have to play ugly and be prepared to grind out victories. Teams don't rock up to play they rock up to stop you from playing. Unless we alter our approach domestically we are going to continue to struggle.

However I believe our problem lies with our attack. Ronaldo and Pato are players who posses the X factor and can create just as well as finish chances. I'm not using their absence as an excuse merely as an explaination. Despite this, we've created enough in recent outings to be well amongst the top four however due to our poor execution and inability to make the most of our opportunities we find ourselves well off the pace of the league leaders.

need change seriously

so we lost to inter... again

january is around the corner we need a goalkeeper. how long can we keep the HOWLER-prone DIDA around. how many points have he cost us.

we need a keeper and some fresh leg defenders. Maldini is showing is age and is not the half the player he is.

and what the coach... the changes he made at half time cost us the match... we need a new coach.... aswell. we cant expect KAKA to be the best at every match week in week out. with out kaka playing his best we look ordinary.

i think moratti should send DIDA an early christmas card.
