You're wrong..Alves brought down Ozïl for the penalty Vagino converted in the 1-1 draw on the 16th.

About Flams, you're right..I was sleepy earlier today, was quite hard to recollect..while having a shower about an hour back it came to me..the horror scissors tackle on Corluka. My bad.

About your Marcelo and Pepe comments, I'm not easily bullshitted. The Pepe affair was high, in the sense that it was aimed for Alves's tarsals and a bit of the lower shin.

Come again?

Were you drunk when you were watching that game?

just make it like rugby rules...only the captain must approach the ref and refer to the ref as sir.

Lost interest in the match around the 60th minute and ended up doing something i never (well rarely) did before.......house chores. The drama was worth it i guess, football wise zzzZZzzzz.

Anyways out of the 80.000+ people present @ the bernabeo probably the only soul that had something ever slightly resembling to class must have been pep. Respect:star:, but please dont ever join inter. Everything else was disgraceful. Xavi having the need to mouth off his opinion to the reff at almost every decision has to be the most annoying thing in football ever. And considering what a quality football team barca are all the whining makes no sense whatsoever. Without all the irrelevant words whey would equally win it all.

after watching that joke of a classico , i believe that fifa and uefa should do something about they way players disgracefuly crowd the ref after a call. After every single foul, those little midgets of barcelona were surronding him and i gaurantee you that can effect a referees call.

Typical Germans. :lol::lol::lol:

After watching that sack of crap semi final, I was thinking, Barca are a great team, but their playacting serious annoys me. I never watched the great Milan sides of the late 80s and early 90s, did we have anyone as bad as Biscuits, Pedro and Alves?

I wanted to ask the exact same question.

I dont know why people here talk about the effectiveness of 20% possesion football  i think it is nonsense if that's the purpose of playing football then why we have so many formations and so many positions for players .. simply u call the 11 men are defender + GK. there is no striker nor midfielder and we just wait for the luck to counter attack the opponent. shame and disgrace for playing such football :o
and I dont know why Jose keep moaning about how Pepe didnt deserved the red card. for me it was a fault. clearly a fault to Daniel Alves.
the game was a bit bored until Messi did the shot from Afellay's assist. and what a goal from Lionel at the second attempts after that. that was clearly pure a world class goal, solo run passed 3 Madrid players :star:

now i think second leg at Camp Nou Jose will brings their big bus ... again and park in front of Casillas net, be my guest and forget that you have the 3 goals difference to be chased :o

MU vs Barcelona for the final !

I had to clewan the tv in the first half. It appeared I mistakenly thought the half-way line was some sort of stain on the telly.

Great attacking stuff from Barca stringing passes in their own half '' (anyone iterested in makig a trololololo compilation of it? If you do remember Youtube should have 15 minute restriction generally)

At the end of the day, both teams disgust me in their own way and the only reason why I'm happy to see Barca go through is that RM won't get to 10 CL's.

UEFA and FIFA need to do something about all these dives and whining to the referee, it's gotten out of hand, not only by Barca but amongst all teams and leagues.

cant really blame him, barely had any support.

it baffles me how kaka didnt get to start, you'd think mourinho would know how vital his experience in the CL is.

should have been

Ozil Kaka

Cr
Of course I can blame him, he calls himself the best player in the world, then do something out of nothing, change the course of the game with a moment of brilliance. Isnt that what the best players do? Four matches in a row against Barca he fails to do anything resembling that, apart from the header in the cup, which is more Crouch than a best player in the world. But no, hes just too stupid in his decisions and an awful passer to create anything.

And yes Kaka should have started, but instead of Ozil, not Di Maria who provides immense workrate and is a real problem for Alves. Ozil doesn't perform good when he starts against Barca, you need to get him on in the 2nd half when theyre tired. Mourinho completely bottled it with his approach, its a fact.

Agreed completely. Diving and playacting has reached a critical point and something has to be done about this. I can't really blame the ref, he has a tough job out there when everybody is out to con him. And when an expert of a con job like Dani Alves pulls something like that, hes obviously gonna go with the guts. UEFA should impose much bigger sanctions for diving, playacting and whining. I'd ban Buttquest, Pedro and Dani Alves for the next two games, just for starters, and keep reviewing videos after the match to ban anyone who dives. Stronger punishment for players ganging up on the referee, yellow card for every tiny protest, like in the NBA. Everybody blames the ref, but hes just one man with 22 players out to con him. Nobody can do a good job like that.

Key words: 22 players.

Barca may do it the most, but not by much... all teams do it constantly.

I watched from early 90's and I can't remember any serious playacting from Milan players (but I was still a kid back than so I probably didn't pay serious attention on dives , etc) but I think it wasn't a trend back than :D

The thing is, Barca's antics are not a coincidence or spontaneous. Their diving, playacting and whining is as systematic and organized as their possession based tiki taka attack. This is what they do, what they are trained to do. They are the pioneers of this disgrace and if anything, the responsible bodies should start from them to set an example. Instead they are giving them the fair play award and thousands of kids out there think they should do this

Yeah, can't say that I disagree Madridista... but on the other hand, most teams that face Barca usually play very rough because it's an effective way to stop them.

What needs to be done is that UEFA needs to take measures against dives and players like Pepe for example.

There are existing sanctions against the likes of Pepe, in the form of fouls, yellow and red cards... but you need to account for the times it hasn't been the case, or in fact, when the opposition is trying to take advantage of the ref and milk a decision from him based on the players reputation.

Only way is post match video analysis and according suspensions. Pepe's red will stand, but if a commission decides to suspend Dani Alves and the likes, they will think twice during the next match whether they put on an act and try to get an opposition player sent off.

@ madridista

Although there are post game sanctions against dives and play acting, they really should be used more often, I agree with that. A lot more often when it comes to Barca.

Actually just noticed something about the sig. Forget about Pepe, the second scene the moment after Xabi steps over Messi, look at the midget brigade immediate offensive on the ref.

They are just abominable.

I read that intention is important. He may didn't touch Alves but his intention to hurt him was clear so he got red card.
