Nesta announces retirement:

Seedorf announces retirement:

 spot on. Although I felt that the hate is a bit too harsh.

We should move some love from Sandro's thread here *insert Patrick meme*

since he loves the spotlight so much, do you guys think he might suddenly announce his retirement in the middle of the Novara game? :D

no one cares as long as he does.

This is 21st century, boy. Youngsters who score got kicked in the ass by Zlatan, while those who screw us got kicked in the head.

Scoot on outta hurr, Clarence.

If today taught you anything, it should be humility. You got to witness the praise a true LEGEND going out on top receives. You held on too long, bro. You did some great things here, but in general, you only poured your heart into it when the world was watching.

Ciao.

It's disgraceful the way some people talk about Seedorf. I have nothing to say to them.

Grazie Clarence. You are a :star:Milan legend:star: and you deserve the spotlight just as much as Nesta and Inzaghi. Even the Barca crowd applauded him. Farewell Mr. Champions League.

Tip to G.: bring Hernanes. I'm convinced he'll prove to be a worthy replacement.

I feel bad that we're saying goodbye to Nesta like a Champion that he is, and we're all demanding Seedorf to get the Fuck out.

He should have left in 2007 when he was finished. He's been playing 5 more years of shit football, and he STILL think he's World Class. He will get eaten alive in Brazil, he can't run anymore.

Yes, it is very sad. Seedorf would deserve all that treatment Nesta is receiving, but he had a stain in his Milan career, especially the past two seasons. He could even have left just after last season, because as bad as it was overall, he made a key contribution for the Scudetto and would've left on a high. But now, we're all happy to see him leaving.

It's a paradox. We should be happy when we're sad seeing our idols leave the club, like Nesta. But it's pretty sad when we're happy to see them out. It shouldn't be like this, but that's not the fans' fault.

I feel sorry for botafogo fans.

I had a chat with some friends of mine who also support Botafogo, and it is curious how Seedorf's image is wrong among them (at least those friends of mine).

After I said he's been playing badly, one of them replied "But at least he's a starter, isn't he?". And when I said "no", he replied "But isn't Milan midfield really good?", and I just said "It sucks". I feel there's lack of knowledge about him, and I even feel Botafogo board might be just as ignorant, unless that's a move focused on marketing.

Anyway, if he comes I at least hope to see him some time at the streets so I can take a photo with him.

People on this thread can be real sonsofbitches when talking about the club I love and the players I idolise.

I am going to be distraught to see Seedorf leave (if he leaves). (I would love to read the reactions of the jackasses on this forum if he decided to extend). To see him wave a final time to the fans in our jersey might be a bit too much for me to take.

I will miss Nesta and Pippo of course, but I'm going to miss Seedorf's intelligence a lot.

So fuck what the others think...I'm sad to see him leave.

He was a really good player, that I can agree with you but to be honest, dont you think he should retire from long time ago?

He hasn't been playing so well for a few seasons now, unfortunately :/

Yes I do.
He has been declining, no doubt about that.
People calling him names, wanting him out is one thing. I understand them too.
But now that he's leaving he should get the credit that he's earned over the years.
Seedorf has been here for 10 years. Now that he's leaving I just can't understand how people don't care for him.

He's been here for 10 years and brought us successes.
Show some respect.

Seedorf is getting hate in this thread cause simply he didn't give two shits for multiple season only to show up when he feels like it and now some are returning the favor of not giving a shit about him. It has nothing to do with the fact that he is non Italian.
