Inzaghi handed Milan reprieve

However, it now appears that the Milan hierarchy have decided to stick with the former striker for now.

Part of the reasoning behind the decision could be the uncertainty over the ownership of the club, with President Silvio Berlusconi on the verge of selling to Thai investor Bee Taechaubol.

Inzaghi has been confirmed as a manager. Brocchi will travel with Primavera team to Perugia.

Ah, I guess you want him to stay then so he can keep losing games that we should win. :)
You're such a good fan.

Keep in mind that you acted the same way as I am right now to Allegri, and Allegri did 100 times a better job than Inzaghi.

What's the point of firing the coach right now? Why ruin someone else career? Who cares about the results in the next 5 games. Keep classy, don't waste any money on this. Inzaghi will be gone in the summer anyway, which is the right decision of course!

I hated Allegri for more than 2 seasons before I started to be disrespectful. You call me a bad fan but meanwhile you're being disrespectful to our own legend? shame on you. Allegri is a nobody so of course I was going to insult him after doing a shit job.

Huge difference? It's the same person with a different job. Calling him a bad coach is okay, but calling him a C-word is way over the line!

We would fight for the relegation without Menez, we won many games thanks to his solo efforts. with Pazzini or Destro, everyting would be worse.

Pippo has more than 9 lives apparently.

Would be interesting to see a game without Menez.

People here act as if they'd have said no to Milan offering them the coaching position.

"Do you want to manage Milan for a year for 1m?"

"Umm no. I don't think I'd do a good job"

Just like people saying managers should resign to save their dignity. That's akin to saying you should just give up and never try with anything.

i agree, i don't see how inzaghi should carry blame for accepting the coaching position

the issue is that he should not have been offered the job in the first place, which falls on the responsibility of management

they (management) did not learn their lesson with allegri, i.e. a coach needs to be provided with adequate players to create a cohesive, functioning team - allegri made it work as long as he could

they did not learn their lesson with seedorf, i.e. a coach with no experience and also without the necessary players - he could only do so much

and then they dumped the situation on inzaghi, i.e. a coach with only primavera experience and still without the necessary players to build a milan-worthy, competitive team

it's like expecting rose bushes when you plant weeds

things won't change at milan until there is new management, a new coach, and players selected to create a cohesive team

that's a huge overhaul...but i'm hopeful a new owner can pull it off

anyway, as for inzaghi...it would have been best i suppose if he had continued coaching the primavera team and kept building on his successes there. i wonder if he thinks the same after this season. hindsight is 20/20 they say...

I'm over inzaghi but at the same time grateful brocchi didn't get the first team gig. he's doing well at the moment and there would be no real reason to jeopardise that for what already is a losing battle.

I have genuine anger towards this club and Pippo. a man that was a passionate player and someone that provided real joy for the fans will leave as a man out of his depth and damaging to the brand.

galliani and berlu get the blame for promoting a guy that wasn't ready and inzaghi gets the blame for the same thing. another few years in the youth system learning not just the game from a tactical point of view but managing players and who knows...

would he have been the next sacchi, capello or ancelotti ....maybe ....maybe not but what he has become is a shame.

when he leaves..and I hope he does..i wish him all the best in the next venture. and this isn't because he is a former player but because he is a young professional coach that deserved the time to build his credentials.

he made a comment once that he wished he could be the next Ferguson. well the reality is that no team or competition can afford the luxury these days of waiting out and building success. todays football climate for a big club is trophies and if you can't bring them then they'll try and find someone that can.

It did not matter at this point to change Pippo at all. We are saved from relegation, the way that we are playing there was no way that we could win a game.

Napoli, Roma, Sassuolo, Torino and Atalanta.

I do not think that we could beat anybody except Atalanta regardless who is the coach. Play all the old for the rest of games (call it the dinosaur extinction tour): Zapata, Bonera, Muntari, Essien, Montolivo, Poli, Pazzini, Alex, Zaccardo, Destro plus Donnaruma at GK.

Its a shame that this didn't work out at all, would have been nice if a ex great player would have done a brilliant job.

Well i guess the Simione's of this world are a rarity.

Simeone was on already 200+ games before coming to Atletico.

Not the same case as Pippo at all.

A club with better atmosphere and realistic targets can help Pippo greatly.

bar from hoping a new inexperienced coach would create enough temporary entusiasmo to fight for el which i really doubt it will since the club is a wreck theres really no other point of sacking him for the last few matches. Let him end the season and then part ways.

Let Tassotti go. Keep Pippo as assistant for a REAL coach.

WIN.

Trash fuck Tassotti (Jan 19, 1960). A legendary passive-aggressive management position in Milan history. Hopes to secure a safe place for life by happily assisting any head coach that comes here.

One day, a coach would come with his own assistant. One of the clauses in his contract would be to have absolute authority to appoint an assistant. Trash fuck Tassotti would be so lost at age 55 because he has nobody to assist.

Head coaches and their assistants are like Hawkeye and Black Widow. They come and leave together and they function best when working together. The idea of having a motherfucking fixed assistant coach here at Milan is against all laws in the universe. It feels like head coaches come here to assist that trash fuck and not the other way around.

No, no quality head coach needs a fucking trash fuck to give him a tour at San Siro and to inject first impressions about the team and expectations in his head. Trash fuck Tassotti is well-known from the past but not a demi-god by any means. Why does such trash fuck possess so many privileges?

Trash fuck Tassotti's days at Milan are coming to an end. Trash fuck Mauro Tassotti.
