So then Bradley's was the same thing and the referee only cautioned him. There's been so many studs up tackles where at the maximum a yellow was rewarded. No, I'm telling you it was less avoidable in Marchisio's case. Look again and you'll see that Marchisio is bracing for the collision with the Uruguayan by raising his knee and in the defender's attempt to win the ball, he goes under Marchisio's raised foot.

It was obviously somewhat reckless for Marchisio to go running in there like that, but, if you're not blind at least, it's obviously no where near malicious as Rebic's challenge. I'm not necessarily saying it's not a red, i'm just saying that you're being completely ******ed about this.

Regardless i've seen worse challenges go unpunished.
